My DH works for the NHS and is far more concerned about a Tory Brexit than a second referendum.

Ohlook I am amazed at how much the kids pick up from watching the news. And maybe the odd comment I have to make around the house.

Oxford = 18% BAME and only 2.5% black. Ie 88% white. (corrected to 82% in a later post)

Actually 82% white students isn't be too bad as a percentage, seeing that the population of the country is 87.1% white. (And 3% black.) If the Oxford student body is 18% BAME it's doing better than the country, which is 12.9% BAME.

What is disgusting is that ANYONE who is a member of the Union, whatever their colour, was dragged out by the legs. It's common assault and should be prosecuted as such.

This is not at all surprising actually. Nearly 45% of Oxford students are international students (and about 40% of staff have a foreign passport).

Seriously, TatianaLarina. I don't see that it would have been better if it had been done to a blind white man. Would it have been ok to drag any blind man out by the ankles? If not, then why is it better or worse by colour or creed or whatever other criterion?

Mistigri, in that case it is less of a PWI than the UK is. Not that it makes any difference to the absolute wrongness of dragging anyone at all around by the ankles, let alone someone who is blind.

My DS is 22 and is voting for Boris. I get that the Labour supporters try all excuses as to why they don’t win elections i.e the undecided did vote, the young didn’t vote but I see a Conservative majority on 12 December. Corbyn, McDonnell are just nutters who want a socialist experiment on the UK. They keep mentioning Korea? Why? They are nothing like the UK.

Clever timing of this Exposure programme. Johnson won't have time to scramble and brief his usual media machine for the breakfast show reactions.
