thanks Dusty for the Nippy confirmation. I've always had a great deal of respect for Scottish Politicians having found them of a greater 'calibre' than the generic English ones. Although a lot of those are, in fact, of Scottish descent. As am I.

But they're irritating the shizen out of me at the mo - go for a GE, ye Scots, go for an Indy Ref, but stop daein nothing fer th' Sasenachs.

If yae wan rid -vote an let us gae.

DustyDiamond · 26/10/2019 19:25

I'm not a fan of wee nippy's independence obsession, but she's very sharp & an astute politician - I'd want her on my team defo! It's a shame she's not pro Brexit... 😂

Walkingdeadfangirl · 26/10/2019 19:27

Hi all, nice to see the redecoration. Lets hope we dont get any rabble-rousers this time. I guess French wine is the special, for the moment.

Epicwaffle · 26/10/2019 19:38

What’s with all these bizarre celeb love letters to europe? Am I missing something? Isn’t europe a continent? Are we leaving the continent of europe? 😨 I didn’t realise! 😓 I would never have voted leave If I’d known? Christ, I just thought we were leaving an overgrown, over politiscised trade organisation!

Well. This changes everything. Hmm

GreenishMe · 26/10/2019 19:40

Bonjour tout le monde! Wine

frumpety · 26/10/2019 19:54

Because although you hate bits of the EU institution , (not all I am sure, some of it is proper useful stuff), you cannot say it hasn't fostered a feeling of collaboration in the true sense of the word and encouraged peace in Europe Epicwaffle

Walkingdeadfangirl · 26/10/2019 20:00

So is Corbyn still saying no election until no deal is off the table? Is he really going to call Macrons bluff and risk a no deal? Maybe he is a secret Brexiteer?

frumpety · 26/10/2019 20:21

Not so secret Brexiteer Fangirl which is why Labour are in so much of a pickle, they have a Eurosceptic leader who wants to uphold workers rights with a hard right Conservative government in power, tricky !

bellinisurge · 26/10/2019 20:41

He's a flipping obvious Brexit supporter! How can you not see that?

Watching this week from a half term break in Ireland.

Parker231 · 26/10/2019 20:43

What does everyone think will happen (actually happen, not what you would like to happen) on Monday- I can’t imagine Boris will get anywhere near his two thirds majority but after that ...........

BelleHathor · 26/10/2019 20:57

Parliament votes against election under FTPA on Monday. EU watching says through sources that extension contingent on a tangible use of the time election or deal approved , EU runs down clock. Mps realise no deal an actual possibility not just a ruse to use to delay Brexit. Revote on Tues/ Weds for an election. Massive majority for Boris for Xmas 🤔😉

HateIsNotGood · 26/10/2019 21:00

Hmm..Parker.. actually thinking what WILL happen is definitely different from KNOWING what will happen. And all of us know that we don't actually know.

I know what I think...everytime I see your name... Thunderbirds are Go...but that's probably not very useful.

frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:03

What does everyone think will happen

Brexit won't happen, but this is coming from a woman who currently has coleslaw in her cleavage, so you know ......

< not a whole portion of coleslaw, not sure why its important to point that out, but it feels right> Grin

frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:05

it feels right to point out its not a whole portion, not that it feels right having coleslaw in my cleavage , sheesh !

time4chocolate · 26/10/2019 21:10

Parker I'm going to be of no help to you, I think I'm losing the plot😉

From what I have been reading this evening rumours are Corbyn is not going to support a GE so numbers won't be there. As to what might happen after that I haven't got the faintest idea. I guess probably sit tight and see what the EU say we can have in terms of an extension, the length of which depends on how pissed off they/Macron will be.

Stealth boast from frumpety - who knows full well that the welcoming 'bosom' of the Brexit Arms might not involve breasts pert enough to hold a salad.

Whilst mine do, resplendently dressed with a sauce of choice, I'm fully aware that many breasts here aren't so able. So kindly take your Breaxtit stuff elsewhere please.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 26/10/2019 21:17

What does everyone think will happen
I think Corbyn wants an election (he has drunk his own kool aid) but he knows his MPs wont back him (they haven't drunk the kool aid). Labour are very scared they will lose their jobs so will never vote for an election.

Macron might stand strong (unclear) or he might be forced to comply by the all powerful EU.

So most likely we will be forced into a 3 month extension with a lot of finger wagging, that everyone will ignore and its groundhog day.

Or Macron will decide that we only get an extension if we agree to either agreeing the deal or a GE within 14 days.

frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:20

Flipping heck Hate its a bit of shredded cabbage and carrot, I can't help having a handy food catching decalotage . Don't be stooping to Brextitism , it's beneath you Grin

frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:24

Oh so the country decided to leave the EU to be bossed about by the French Fangirl, well that's not in the least bit ironic Grin

frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:30
frumpety · 26/10/2019 21:31

Could be worse I guess Smile

Epicwaffle · 26/10/2019 21:34

Sorry to bring my ‘brextits’ into it, but I have just spent, a not insignificant amount of time, removing the (rather scratchy) crumbs of some nacho cheese flavour ‘muchos’ out of my cleavage Blush. (Only actually cleavage these days, when the super strong scaffolding is in place of course Grin). So I do hope the coleslaw was a smoother affair.

Anyway, back to the debacle. Confused

I agree, as much as I want it to not be so, my prediction is, vote on election fails again Hmm, and the EU buckle under the standard HOC crazy and grant yet another, super pointless 3 month ext. which will be wasted in the usual fashion. Cue 3 months of yet more waffle about Indy ref from Ian blackford, more labour infighting and stupid contradictory interviews, more crossing the floor by the changelings, no fucking idea from the lib dems and countless potential ‘die in a ditch’ type soundbites from Boris. ugh.

Oh, and copious amounts of brexit arms beer drunk, whilst dancing awkwardly under the glitter balls.

I promise you, the irony is not lost on me! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Grin

Yes that's what Corbyn has reduced us to. Hopefully Boris (or Farage) can break us free of this crap.
