Yes ignore them. What kind of person would turn up outside a pub at 6:40 and start hissing goady insults through the letterbox?

BercowsPoliticalPumpkin · 31/10/2019 07:33

What insults?

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 31/10/2019 07:33

And if people want to vote for someone who makes promises he can't deliver, then there is nothing I can do about it

Agreed.
Now off you go.

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 07:34

I was just getting comfortable. Mines a coffee, if you're offering.

3 September, Boris Johnson: “there are no circumstances in which I will ask Brussels to delay.”

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 07:35

Bear I don't know what's going on with you lately but maybe start your own thread about labour? I'm sure you'd get many agreeing with you

bercow I’m a Remainer and am perfectly welcome here

The problem with posters like you and the others who’ve piled in today is that you are just trying to be superior - it’s more of the ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ narrative which helps no one

I don’t want BJ to win the GE but he is offering something that a lot of people want.

Labour are not offering a positive reason to chose them yet most of you don’t seem bothered by that, preferring just to slag of the Tories, which just provides them with more support

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 07:39

it’s more of the ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ narrative which helps no one

Is it somehow different to "you lost, got over it" and all the bollocks on here about "losers' consent?

Wimbledonna · 31/10/2019 07:39

What insults?
I think the bell curve reference is an insult. But I may have misunderstood. Maybe Misti could explain it.

Fatshedra · 31/10/2019 07:42

Someone who has just retired from the civil service said politics is now like every public service nowadays , everything is done at a run. Meetings are called, emails are sent, changes are decided -all at a run. Ask anyone in teaching , nhs etc new ideas/recommendations/ even laws. The worlds gone mad but this is what Twitter, Instagram/ facebook demand. Everyone shouting at once, everyone making demands. New headlines every day, or is it hour. I hope to god everything slows down after the election.

bellinisurge · 31/10/2019 07:42

It is a bit funny, though.

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 07:48

misti I’ve read your posts on the Westminster’s thread about coming over here to ‘serve them humble pie’

I really don’t know what you hope to achieve other than trying to look big and clever in front of your mates on there

As I said last night, that thread has gone from being useful to being a clique of people with polarised views who lash out at anyone who isn’t part of their group

That’s fine if it’s how you want to play it, but being goading and bullying on other threads, just so you can report back there, or for their entertainment, is extremely poor form

bellinisurge · 31/10/2019 07:50

Maybe you could start your own thread against Misti. 😂😂😂😂🤷‍♀️

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 07:51

I'm mainly here out of curiosity to see how many of the leavers who swore that we would leave on 31st October are big enough to say - "you know what, I was wrong".

BercowsPoliticalPumpkin · 31/10/2019 07:52

@Bearbehind yet you're stalking and reporting bank on here Hmm

MeganBacon · 31/10/2019 07:53

I’ve always thought of cummings’ alleged brilliance as an unproven rumour but as I read bercows’ early morning post I feel begrudging admiration.

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 07:54

There's nothing wrong with being wrong btw (I'm an economist making long term forecasts and I often that joke I am wrong for a living).

Not learning from your mistakes on the other hand I find harder to understand.

"I know, let's vote for that bloke who voted against leaving twice and who swore blind we'd leave on 31st Oct. He's the only one we can trust".

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 07:56

No, I’m reading both threads and questioning why misti thinks it’s clever to say she’s coming here to ‘serve them humble pie’

I won’t be posting on the other thread anymore as it’s very clear I’m not part of that clique and I have no desire to spend all my time blaming everything on the Tories whilst completely failing to recognise that more people support them than anyone else

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 07:58

misti, honestly, what do you think you are achieving with your posts?

Do you really think anyone is going to say ‘goodness me, you were right all along’?

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 07:58

3 September, Boris Johnson: “Enough is enough. The country wants this done and it wants the referendum respected. We are negotiating a deal, and though I am confident of getting a deal, we will leave by 31 October in all circumstances. There will be no further pointless delay.”

Mistigri · 31/10/2019 08:00

Bear, happy to fess up to any errors of judgement or of logic, but on the subject of leaving on 31st Oct my forecast made on here on several occasions appears to have been 100% correct.

bellinisurge · 31/10/2019 08:01

Ah c'mon. You lot know you will be crowing when we leave. Can't we have a bit of fun at Johnson's expense?

BercowsPoliticalPumpkin · 31/10/2019 08:04

They certainly will won't they Bellini. I just hope we do so with a deal so that no one does as a result. No dealers need their head feeling.

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 08:04

I really am horrified by what this has become

Posters who were previously rational and polite are just being GF for their own pleasure

How you think that’s going to help bridge the divide is completely beyond me

Bearbehind · 31/10/2019 08:06

They certainly will won't they Bellini. I just hope we do so with a deal so that no one does as a result. No dealers need their head feeling.

The more Remainers post goady shit like they have this morning, the more chance there is of no deal

bellinisurge · 31/10/2019 08:09

How is that goady shit. Poster says leavers will crow when we leave. Poster says I hope we leave with a deal. Poster says no dealers need their head feeling. No goad there.
