It's a fucking study that you wheeled out to try and goad upset, frightened remainers.

It doesn't paint you in a great light, tbf. Or was it just 'Bantz'?

Miljah · 25/10/2019 21:54

'Hang on, I'll just have a little dig around'....

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 21:55

You've already said you think I'm 'beneath contempt' Miljah.

I have no wish to communicate with your goady-fuckery any further

frumpety · 25/10/2019 21:56

I find the psychology of it all fascinating - the various motivations for voting either way, the reaction after the ref, the psychology of political strategy & marketing a message, the type, speed & quality of processing different twists & turns, the group psychology as well as individual

I agree with you on this, but not on the best way forward, see you at the other end Grin

Miljah · 25/10/2019 21:56

Shall I have a little dig around and see if I can find the research that demonstrated that the majority of Leave voters are poor and undereducated? In the interests of 'balance?

GreenishMe · 25/10/2019 21:57

Miljah, direct your complaints to the LSE please

Mistigri · 25/10/2019 21:58

Democracy relies on people not simply shrugging their shoulders and accepting defeat.

Miljah.

Are you you saying there is something wrong with being Poor and uneducated and still having a vote?

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:03

Democracy relies on losers' consent.

We've had this discussion before on here with handy links & everything.

It actually culminated in an anti-Brexit poster slagging me off for being a single mum on benefits 🤷🏻‍♀️

The kinder, gentler side of the Brexit divide...

GreenishMe · 25/10/2019 22:07

Why does she pretend not to be here and then explode into the room as soon as we say something (to each other) that she doesn't like the sound of?

Sunnyuplands · 25/10/2019 22:08

Seems to be a theme dusty.

Miljah seems to think it's somehow going to be 'insulting' to find a study that leavers are poor and uneducated??? ShockHmm

GreenishMe · 25/10/2019 22:08

It's so depressing

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:08

I neither know nor care Greenish

Not worthy of my time or energy 🤷🏻‍♀️

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:10

Lol sunny 😂

Imagine being that needy!!

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:11

To be fair, it literally took me only a couple of seconds to find the article - google is very good!

Typed in 'LSE sore loser' and it was the first hit 🤷🏻‍♀️

twofingerstoEverything · 25/10/2019 22:13

Megan Of the things that worry me, Brexit is probably only third on the list anyway - rise of populism is far worse.
I agree that the rise of populism is very worrying, but I also see a distinct connection between populism and Brexit. Don't you? Obligatory LSE article to support my theory

GreenishMe · 25/10/2019 22:17

Oh God, has it been reported back to H/Q?

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:22

That's the sort of thing I find interesting as well twofingers

I've def read that one before a while back

It links to what I've been saying about Cummings's strategy over the last few months wrt shaping the narrative - 'get Brexit done' & Parliament vs the people' have become part of commentators' typical speech & from there embed into the psyche of everyone listening/watching.

The 'other side' are parroting it as well without realising so it becomes even more embedded in different spheres, not just the 'Brexiter bubble'

GreenishMe · 25/10/2019 22:22

I could understand them being pissed off if we'd gone onto their thread talking about it.....but they don't even need to come and read what's being talked about here.

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:24

Just 😊 & 👋 Greenish...

... 😊 & 👋

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:26

As Time4 said before, they're trying desperately to get the threads pulled & to get a reaction from us so they can report us & get us banned 🤷🏻‍♀️

darkcloudsandrainstorms · 25/10/2019 22:26

The demise of unpopulism is highly regrettable. Those were the days.

Mistigri · 25/10/2019 22:28

Democracy relies on losers' consent.

Not in the way that you mean it here.

Democracy requires the loser(s) of an election to accept the result of a democratic process and not to use illegal or unconstitutional methods to overturn the result.

But they can and should continue to oppose policies the disagree with, as long as they do so legally. Democracy relies on losers continuing to fight for their cause and their beliefs, and to seek a democratic mandate for them at the next election.

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 22:28

It's a shame that the recent post about me has been deleted already

I prefer when they're left up so everyone can see them
