The USA has made no secret of the fact that they want a UK-US trade deal to give them access to the NHS. They also want the UK to accept the import of food products that don’t meet the UK’s current food safety standards.

I don’t want this. I don't want our employment rights or environmental standards weakened either. Do any Brexiteers feel the same? Surely sovereignty should mean increased autonomy and the confidence to say no to damaging trade deals?

Hi Cattenberg , If there is ever any real and present danger of that happening, I would vote for a government that opposed it. I suspect that the government know that the NHS is a massive red line for most of the electorate, they sell it out at their peril. Currently, the line is that it’s not on the table, should that change, then so will my loyalty.

No one is selling the NHS, or getting rid of workers rights and environmental standards. We just want our country making decisions rather than foreign countries imposing them.

Agree with PPs Cattenburg - if the govt of the time does shitty things then we have the power to vote them out.

I'm hoping for extension & immediate GE I think.

Labour will have a lot of work to do, Lib Dem should soak up hardcore remainers & Tories could feasibly get a small majority providing Brexit Party don't hoover up too much.

Whoever wins, I hope they make repealing the crappy FTPA a priority!!

Darn, I missed it, I like pie too! Never mind. I don’t doubt there will be more offers forthcoming, they are a very generous lot over there!

I agree dusty. I think it’s clear, that the only way forward is with an election (if there is an extension) , bring it on! The country just can’t continue in this paralysis, something has to give and sooner or later it will be the patience of the electorate.
