What I am saying is that Boris could quite easily justify revoking given the information he has access to.
He could also quite easily argue the case for no deal.
Do you see what I am saying ?

I do indeed.

And the only way I see out of this mess is an impartial assessment of the repercussions of each choice and a subsequent vote.

But it ain’t gonna happen

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/09/2019 21:56

some of you are rewriting the history of this shit to convince yourselves you always wanted WA you just wanted to be mean to TM
Remainlings BS. TM fcuked up the election and lost us a majority so if her deal passed we had no reason to believe we would ever leave the EU.

Under Boris we can indeed trust that under his deal/leadership we will get out of the EU.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/09/2019 21:58

the massive difference is 31st Oct will have been an gone and BJ will have had to do something

And no one knows what that is. So how can remainers be so sure an election before the 31st is any better than one after?

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/09/2019 21:59

If we have an election on 1 November we will have got an extension. So we won't leave on 2 November.
Unless Boris gets a majority and we just rip up the extension and leave.

SegregateMumBev · 25/09/2019 21:59

Revoke - and let's pretend this never happened. Tempting, but not going to have wide appeal.

Revoke - and let's have a good long think about what we actually want and how we actually acheive that and what the detail looks like and how we actually inform the people what the proposals are and how it affects them, and let us vote on that - go for it!

frumpety · 25/09/2019 21:59

September we would still be in the same sort of democracy that we were in during the advisory referendum. Same democracy you used to vote in 2017. It ain't perfect, but it is still a democracy. Smile

bellinisurge · 25/09/2019 22:00

@Walkingdeadfangirl no we don't.

bellinisurge · 25/09/2019 22:02

If the Tories stood on a No Deal platform they would be toast.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/09/2019 22:04

Revoke and democracy dies.

My vote and many leavers will switch to Farage. We aren't going away.

The only way to bring this country back together is change remainers to joining the EUers and lets see how much support that has.

Parker231 · 25/09/2019 22:07

Majority of MP’s will continue to block a no deal.

bellinisurge · 25/09/2019 22:09

"The only way to bring this country back together is change remainers to joining the EUers and lets see how much support that has."
Silly nonsense. You need Remain voters like me to compromise, as I have, to accepting an orderly Brexit.
Any other kind of Brexit will be a fucking catastrophe where, as it says in the Yellowhammer " document, the poorest will suffer the most.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 25/09/2019 22:13

You need Remain voters like me to compromise, as I have, to accepting an orderly Brexit
I disagree, we need remain MPs to compromise. Because they wont we need a GE to get new MPs who will get us out of the EU, as we instructed them to do.

As I have said before I will also accept an orderly Brexit as long as we actually leave the EU.

SegregateMumBev · 25/09/2019 22:19

Cards on the table - I'm a remainer. I lurk on this thread, but usually refrain from commenting, cos, hey, it's a leave safe space. I'm just observing, trying to get my head round the Leave view of the future.

I accept there was a majority in the referendum. And I'll accept some sort of leave agreement which doesn't compeletely destroy the country. So a "No Deal" is unequivically something I could not get behind.

SegregateMumBev · 25/09/2019 22:21

Walkingdead

"I will also accept an orderly Brexit as long as we actually leave the EU."

What does "actually leaving the EU" mean?

DustyDiamond · 25/09/2019 22:27

What do we do? March on parliament?
We are generally very passive in the UK

I'll probs go out & upend some wheelie bins in the street 😂

Or mix my recycling up

Civil disobedience! ✊

Septembersunrays · 25/09/2019 22:36

🤣 Yes but imagine if every leave voter mixed up their recycling 😁.

Septembersunrays · 25/09/2019 22:40

Segregate. You've missed something.

Leavers don't need to be told what is in store for them nor remain voters. Because we know and see and live being in the eu.

We look and feel and see and say, we hate it we want out.

So... That was the leave ticket, let's go for that!!

Parker231 · 25/09/2019 22:51

Everything has got totally out of control - Jo Swinson says she’s today reported to the police a threat to her child.

DustyDiamond · 25/09/2019 22:53

Yes but imagine if every leave voter mixed up their recycling

😮😳
Perish the thought!!

It was high enough drama yesterday when The One Show was cancelled for Emergency Andrew Neil 😂😂

Septembersunrays · 25/09/2019 22:55

Bellingusure when I look at the eu project I already see the poor suffering?. Didn't you see people being interviewed in the glorious aftermath of the vote? Stunned bbc reporters... Asking 'why' to people in north east or Cornwall? Don't you care that it was eu money that built the new arts center? Don't you care that eu money funded the dance hall for fox trot enthusiasts?

Reply

'it wasn't eu money it was our money re branded and dished back to us. And no, I couldn't give a flying fuck about a new arts center, we had one before that was cheaper anyway but we couldn't afford to go because we are.... White van man whose jobs have been under cut by cheap Eastern European labour. So fuck off eu. I can't feed my family because I have to charge a rate that covers an actual mortgage and family.. not 10 men living on a shoe string in a two bedroom house. So fuck off eu.. And before anyone says... Oh but it was the UK descion not to put in workers rights, white van man says..

I
It shows that our politicians care more about 28 other countries not their own because they have joined the cult.

White van man also says fuck off Emily thornberry, and we want a transparent government not a far removed one who we know fuck all about.

So fuck the fuck off with the... Poor will suffer.. We all know that youth unemployment is a catastrophe across the eu, we know millions of young lives have been consigned to a jobless life, we have endured endless racism about lazy brits... When actually it's a great excuse to simply not pay a UK living wage....

We had a financial global crisis and Blair flooded the UK with competition for jobs across the board... And people needing extensive social support and funds.

So... He railed, shouted... At the bbc person... To fuck off about the poor... The eu had made him poor and he was loosing his house.

^^ not verbatim it was 3 1/2 years ago. Smile

Septembersunrays · 25/09/2019 22:57

Oh no I missed Andrew Neil!!

DustyDiamond · 25/09/2019 23:39

He was on last night & tonight

Tonight was a bit shit tbh - no actual answers from anyone

Angryresister · 26/09/2019 01:07

And please could someone explain how taking rights away from others will benefit anybody. In my book that is exactly how fascism looked in Germany in the 30s. There is no deal that is not hugely damaging to most people , not to mention Ireland . I would like to know how much more time and money will be spent trying to make the impossible come true.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 26/09/2019 01:14

What does "actually leaving the EU" mean?
What does that question mean?

It means leaving the European Union. Hopefully after that we negotiate a FTA like Canada has recently done.

MysteryTripAgain · 26/09/2019 01:57

Majority of MP’s will continue to block a no deal

Until they are sacked at the next GE. This is why opposition do not want a GE. They know they will lose their jobs for ignoring the leave vote.
