You really, really don't understand, do you, mummy.

Anyway, looking predictably 'quiet' in the Brexit Arms, isn't it?

I only came in to use the loos. I may have weed on the seat πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Cobblersandhogwash · 29/08/2019 11:20

No. Nobody is saying car parts will never be sold in the U.K. again.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 11:23

If I can't afford to buy a car, I don't have a car. Kinda how money works @mummmy2017

ListeningQuietly · 29/08/2019 11:24

Christmas dinner every day :
Turnips, potatoes, carrots, kale (no cauliflower this year), brussels sprouts (no peas this year)
Turkey and chipolatas

sounds OK, till you realise that it will be the same meal every day all winter

Lonelycrab · 29/08/2019 11:26

brussels sprouts

Treasonous traitor! Get out!

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:28

Oh so there will be no summer down under? Wow wonder if the Aussies know Brexit will cause this .

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:29

The most drastic warning yet in a campaign laced with fear, has met its most drastic response.

George Osborne, together with the former Labour Chancellor Alistair Darling, vows today that the hit to the economy would be so great if we vote to leave the EU that he'd hold a Budget with cuts and tax rises almost immediately. Yeah, so when did I miss this?

I suggest you learn about JIT and the impact Brexit will have on the car industry. Approximately 1,100 move through the Channel daily to ensure the business can operate.

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 11:38

I know this is ironic coming from me given I’ve spent 3 years doing it, but there’s really no point in discussing the consequences of no deal Brexit with the likes of mummmy

Those hardcore Leavers will never acknowledge the consequences unless they happen

That’s why I’ve resigned myself to the fact we will probably need to no deal at some point

That’s also why I’m keen to learn want mummmy would do if it is actually no deal on 31/10

Cyclemad222 · 29/08/2019 11:38

You bloody idiots. The day after leaving with no deal, we come crawling back to ask for a deal.

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 11:39

^^ Isn’t actually no deal

ghostofharrenhal · 29/08/2019 11:40

I think Johnson and Cummings are playing everyone and one of three things will happen:

There will be a VONC or some other mechanism which will lead to a GE before 31st Oct. Johnson will win, because he has shown that he is willing to go No Deal if needed, so will unite the Brexiteer electorate behind him. Then he will swiftly present a lipsticked-up version of the WA, which will go through. Johnson continues as PM.

OR

Johnson will simply present a a lipsticked-up version of the WA when Parliament is back after 14 October, which will go through. Johnson continues as PM.

OR

We will crash out, there will be a GE in the early days of November, Boris will win because he will have united the Brexiteer electorate behind him and things look initially rosy in the sunny uplands. Then the shit hits the fan after the GE, but that's OK because Johnson continues as PM and he and all his mates will make a fortune.

If any Leaver on this thread thinks that Johnson gives a shiny shit about anything other than Johnson being PM, they are sadly mistaken. He would revoke tomorrow if that would keep him and the Tories in power.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:40

I do understand JIT....
Have worked where I did the ordering.
So maybe we will have to stop instant gratification of goods.
Or we repair instead of throw away.

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 29/08/2019 11:43

"Those hardcore Leavers will never acknowledge the consequences unless they happen"

Or, indeed, even when they happen...

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:44

Your so keen to run the UK down, how sad that you feel that way.
You really do think we are nothing and have nothing going for us, that you feel only by being in the EU can we all not starve to death.

Cobblersandhogwash · 29/08/2019 11:44

And @Bearbehind, Leavers like @mummmy2017 will never ever admit any problems or issues post Brexit are due to Brexit.

It'll always always be the fault of Remainers.

Absolutely crackers.

Don't bother.

ghostofharrenhal · 29/08/2019 11:46

So maybe we will have to stop instant gratification of goods.
Or we repair instead of throw away.

Well we could do that without leaving the EU?

PotatoShape · 29/08/2019 11:46

Yes. Please don't bother. We are fine with our choice. We aren't going to provide any answers that satisfy the average remainder, so why suck the life out of every. single. brexit thread!?

Cobblersandhogwash · 29/08/2019 11:47

It's not about running the U.K. down.

Not at all.

It's about understanding the important of trade, free trade, geography, economic leverage, the time it takes to agree trade deals.

Absolutely nothing to do with a negative view of Britain.

Simplistic and irrational view of Remainers' perspectives.

Hardcore Leavers really think they're heroes, championing the British cause, don't they? It's amusing. πŸ˜‚

ghostofharrenhal · 29/08/2019 11:48

*Those hardcore Leavers will never acknowledge the consequences unless they happen

That’s why I’ve resigned myself to the fact we will probably need to no deal at some point *

Yeah, I agree with you Bear.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:48

So the fact that remainers think the EU are the only way forward , forced to stay as you can't leave....oh that sounds like Hotel California...

ghostofharrenhal · 29/08/2019 11:53

mummmy2017 I am a remainer, but I accept that we have to leave, but not without a deal and not if it means wrecking the GFA.

Parker231 · 29/08/2019 11:55

@Mummmy2017 - if this is your comment you haven’t a clue how JIT works in the car industry. Production lines will come to a halt with one car manufacturer quoting a cost to them of Β£50k a minute. How long do you think they will keep their business in the UK?

I do understand JIT....
Have worked where I did the ordering.
So maybe we will have to stop instant gratification of goods.
Or we repair instead of throw away.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 11:58

ghostofharrenhal it's too late.
TM wasted your time to have a deal.
She refused to say no deal was real, so got a bad deal no one could support.
Parliament refused to compromise, and just spent the time fighting.
Labour were worse than ever sat on a wall refusing to jump.
We have no other way forward now.
But until we finally leave we are stuck doing nothing.

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 12:02

potato or spud as someone else nicknamed you, I’m guessing you’re a name changer as you’re awfully rowdy for someone new to a pub otherwise!πŸ˜‚

You’ve won, we’re leaving on 31/10

The only debate is whether it’s with or without a deal - but that’s still worthy of discussion isn’t it?

Only mummy seems convinced it’s with no deal
