Bear me and 17 Million others.
He knows the future is ahead why bother getting shafted, why no cut the crap and just start with a clean sheet.
His whole staff is geared to the New horizon not more of the same crap.

Parker231 · 29/08/2019 07:54

What will I be celebrating?

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 07:55

Given that I have been promoting a compromise GFA compliant Leave on here for ages, you have a weird idea about what a radical Remainer is. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 07:59

You could argue that in essence Parliament was already suspended in limbo for three years agaisnt a democratic vote.
Which is the real issues and funnily enough no one seemed to care then because it supported what they wanted.
So disingenuous cries of anything ring hollow in my ears.
We've waited 3 years for a government to do something pro active on this.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 08:05

Johnson voted for the WA. It was the ERG and DUP that spoiled it for you all.

Gottastopspendingmoney · 29/08/2019 08:08

Genuine question- are you proud to be British?

You use the union flag so I guess you like ti think you are.

Yet surely you must know that the decision made yesterday has basically signed the death warrant to the UK.

You support that?

Songsofexperience · 29/08/2019 08:09

And so it begins...

As in, the beginning of the end of the UK?
Cause for celebration in your book? What a great patriot you are then.

Gottastopspendingmoney · 29/08/2019 08:09

And I mean the UK as a country. I truly believe scotland will now vote.for independence in future. And Norther Ireland will unite with Repiblic of Ireland.

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 08:12

I’m still not sure where this ends though.

I’d bet a considerable sum that we won’t be leaving on 31/10 with no deal but then what?

If BJ has worked Leavers up into a no deal frenzy and doesn’t deliver what happens next?

I can only think his plan is that he thinks not enough people feel sufficiently strongly about the type of Brexit, they just want to be able to say we’ve left and he’ll have delivered that

Songsofexperience · 29/08/2019 08:13

why no cut the crap and just start with a clean sheet.
His whole staff is geared to the New horizon not more of the same crap.

Revolutions (as your 'clean sheet' and 'New horizon' suggest) are never clean and never quick. Their aftermath lingers and usually ushers in an era of tyranny. Look up the history of Europe's landmark revolutions. It's a world of pain for decades, whatever the ultimate outcome for that country.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 08:14

This is freaking me out , Bear: I agree with you. πŸ˜‚

PotatoShape · 29/08/2019 08:17

@bellinisurge and @Bearbehind don't you guys have your own thread?? Why can't leavers be given just one space??

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 08:20

bellini we only really disagreed on what was and wasn’t possible - we essentially want the same result

My point was only ever that the answer wasn’t going to be something that had failed before - I now think it’s going to be a peculiar hybrid of everything that’s failed before! πŸ˜‚

time4chocolate · 29/08/2019 08:22

πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ to all.

I'm doing a JC on this one and sitting on the fence!

Boris wants Brexit (preferably with a deal, so he says) but he has a lot of people he has to bring along with him (MPs and Tory voters/members) whatever option he goes for if he wants to remain as PM. I'm pretty sure if he gets any amendments to the WA he won't try and flog it 3 times, it will probably be one shot or we are out.

I've really no idea what is going to happen next except it's certainly not going to be uneventful 😊.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 08:24

Cheery news @PotatoShape , we did have our own thread. Yesterday. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 08:26

potato if you want people to stay off a thread, tagging them so they get an email telling them about it isn’t really the way to achieve it πŸ˜‚

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 08:28

I've really no idea what is going to happen next except it's certainly not going to be uneventful

I’ll raise a glass to that!

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 08:30

Did Parliament cause all this yes.
Three years of not doing what was asked of them.
Even now they are more concerned with how to stop us leaving.
Both sides stood on a ballot of taking us out of the EU, maybe if they had worked towards this end Boris would not be here, or shutting Parliament down to stop the very people who should be putting the UK and not their own views first.

time4chocolate · 29/08/2019 08:32

Blimey at 8.30am!!πŸ˜‚

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 08:35

@mummmy2017 , Parliament hasn't been at this for 3 years. The government were negotiating for two and the ERG and DUP kept blocking the government's WA . That's why we are where we are.

Gottastopspendingmoney · 29/08/2019 08:38

@mummmy2017 neither side stood on a platform of no deal and the Tories did not win the GE - that is why BJ has absolutely no mandate for what he is doing. And what he is doing is undemocratic.

I don't think we can stop Brexit now even though I am a remainer. But we absolutely must stop this madness of No Deal.

Lonelycrab · 29/08/2019 08:39

Churchill speech did I read up there?^

Lollacopters

He’s not even a pound shop version. You lot aren’t very good at understanding the difference are you.

What you got behind the bar here? Lambrini brewed in Essex? Yummy!

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 08:45

The WA was a crap deal. You know this...
Parliament has been stuck for along time, so yes this is their own fault.
The EU can't offer what is needed.
So no deal is the way forward at this stage.
Nothing else is on the table.

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 08:46

mummmy have you noticed that your fellow Leavers don’t even think this is as cut and dried as you do

You really are BJs target audience with this

What will you do if we’re right and it just a ploy to get out of no deal

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 08:52

You really think the EU will roll over and give in now?
As that is the only way Boris can deal.
