I've not been on here for a while.

I'm seeing only anti Brexit threads on here.

Any Leave voters out there?

What do we have to look forward to when we Brexit?

Well you’re going to have to hope for a WA fudge as that’s the only get out left now.”

Of course it isn’t. Any sane government would revoke tomorrow. Therein lies the problem.

'Control of our borders can be done in other ways rather than a hard border'. But how? That is the six million dollar question

ContinuityError · 22/08/2019 22:58

A hard border is anything that requires border checks - whether at the geographical border or elsewhere. You can’t use Rotterdam as an example (despite what the Prosperity UK Alternative Arrangements guff says) as the port is so large that checks can be done 40km away from the EU border but still within the port.

There are no suitable technological solutions ready to go - if there were, the backstop wouldn’t be an issue because it would never be required.

Correct. That’s why I can’t see the point and the excitement about the 30 days agreed to find a solution.
