You're comparing leaving a trade/political bloc

Leaving EU means leaving Human Rights.

Just like anti apartheid and the 'troubles' were political battles to defend Human Rights.

placemats · 27/05/2019 19:45

UKIP lost 24 seats.

let's repeat that.

UKIP LOST 24 SEATS.

noodlenosefraggle · 27/05/2019 19:45

peregrinaCambridge is in the Eastern region. It probably, along with Norwich helped get the lib dem and green seats, but isn't counted as London. Not sure about Oxford.

Quintella · 27/05/2019 19:47

I've just realised that Carl 'I wouldn't rape Jess Philips unless I was drunk' Benjamin didn't get elected.

Thoughts and prayers.

Iambuffy · 27/05/2019 19:51

UKIP is done. Its "leader" lost his seat.

Farage has another self congratulatory wank vehicle now - the BP.

The BP has taken the UKIP vote.

Leavers follow Farage like demented rats following a tin pot fascist wannabe blowing his wank whistle.

HagridsBigToe · 27/05/2019 19:51

Placemats, Brexit Party is pretty much UKIP with a new name.

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 19:53

LibDems have always been more of a threat to Tories than Labour. After all they were one the same party.

DGR you have to go a long way back to say that to the days when the Liberals were formed. More recently the Liberals joined up with the Social Democrats who were the more right wing of the Labour party. So really the LibDems are a fairly centralist hybrid.

Oakenbeach · 27/05/2019 19:55

Liberal Democrat 17% + Labour 21% + Green 7% = 45% + SDLP +SNP+ SF +PC

@woman19 - Agree with your point, but where on earth are you getting those percentages from?... and Labour isn’t a “remain” party... Many may be, and lots who are voted tactically last week for the LDs and others.

placemats · 27/05/2019 19:55

I do realise that Hagrid

But the media spin is the huge win for Farage.

Not the crushing defeat of the Tories nor the annihilation of UKIP.

Oakenbeach · 27/05/2019 19:56

Not sure about Oxford

It’s in the South-east region.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 27/05/2019 19:56

Leavers follow Farage like demented rats following a tin pot fascist wannabe blowing his wank whistle.

Listening to LBC in the car this evening - people queueing up on the phones to congratulate 'Nigel', and him doing his faux-gracious schtick, it really was quite nauseating. It is a total personality cult - Nigel will save us, Nigel will sort it, Nigel will show 'them' what's what. And for all his talk of betrayal, it's Nigel who will betray all of his acolytes when the going gets too tough.

Imagine where we might be if he'd never walked away from that light aircraft...

Oakenbeach · 27/05/2019 19:58

But the media spin is the huge win for Farage

If remainers had got their act together it would have been very different!

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 20:00

Yes, I know where Oxford and Cambridge are - I was trying to suggest that what applies in London might also apply in both of these places. I failed.

derxa · 27/05/2019 20:02

Imagine where we might be if he'd never walked away from that light aircraft... Utterly vile. Angry

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 20:03

Nigel will save us, Nigel will sort it, Nigel will show 'them' what's what. And for all his talk of betrayal, it's Nigel who will betray all of his acolytes when the going gets too tough.

As with UKIP, as soon as Nigel walks away the Brexit party will collapse, unless it joins up with the remnants of the Conservative party. How long do we think it will be before Nigey starts falling out with his devoted followers?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2019 20:04

Thanks. The two main contenders are well known 'delusionists'.
I should have given up and done useful things outside really, but hey ho.

Is one of them the person I've been debating with on another thread? I've hidden it now before I throw my phone out of the - closed - window.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 27/05/2019 20:05

Not vile, derxa. Simply musing.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2019 20:05

...blowing his wank whistle.

That doesn't sound like a safe for work comment! 🙈😂

Iambuffy · 27/05/2019 20:07

Sorry, when I get angry I get a bit sweary and tend not to make much sense 🤣🤣

Iambuffy · 27/05/2019 20:08

Hmm.

Erg and BP forming a party.

Well, that's vom inducing.

HazardGhost · 27/05/2019 20:09

No it's perfect buffy

HazardGhost · 27/05/2019 20:10

Wait! Your swearing is perfect! The other thing is not perfect!

Iambuffy · 27/05/2019 20:11

🤣🤣

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 20:13

Corbyn is still on the fence over another Referendum. However if they did have one, I think they would have to make much stricter rules about what statements were allowed to be made, for an absolute starter.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2019 20:17

Downright lies absolutely cannot be allowed.
