But this ISN'T true of the Liberal Democrats - its seems to be a more serious and long term head ache for the Conservatives and Labour. (And I'll bet this is a particularly London based issue)
LibDems have always been more of a threat to Tories than Labour. After all they were one the same party.
However as the now never-mentioned floating voter, I don't feel beholden to any party, so LDs are as good as any other as far as I'm concerned.
I'm wondering if there is something in my joshing about "comparetheparty.com" when it comes to a younger electorate less bound by tradition and more used to choice in life ? Is it possible that the effects of demographics are starting to introduce a much less coherent youger vote from a generation that can choose 10 different types of takeaway to be delivered in less than an hour ????
