So how are the celebrating going?

Didn’t exactly go to plan did it?

Has it started to sink in what a fucking mess this all is?

How do threads like this help?

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 20:57

They don’t help but why shouldn’t we be angry at this absolute shit show.

If people really don’t see that this was never about actually leaving the EU, it was about party politics, then we really are screwed.

He he he

Peanut1983 · 29/03/2019 20:59

I'm hoping for no deal, fingers crossed!

Bowchicawowow · 29/03/2019 20:59

The time for anger has passed. We now need clear heads to move forward.

bellinisurge · 29/03/2019 21:00

Help what? @Bowchicawowow . They were all crowing about Brexit day.

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:00

peanut if you honestly believe no deal is going to happen why didn’t it happen today?

OP posts:
Bowchicawowow · 29/03/2019 21:01

Crowing is getting us no fucking where. Let’s all grow up and start thinking about how to get out of this mess.

Peanut1983 · 29/03/2019 21:03

What on Earth do you want them? A people's vote is a terrible idea.

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:04

The damage is done. The damage is virtually irreparable.

If no deal was really better than a bad deal it would have happened today.

The only way out of this mess is to revoke and pretend it never happened.

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 29/03/2019 21:04

Border in the sea. @Bowchicawowow . Customs Union. Revoke.
Many options to get us out of this mess.

Bowchicawowow · 29/03/2019 21:05

Revoking will inflame the situation even more. People are angry on both sides.

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:05

And for the government to actually sort out the shit that is entirely their own fault, which caused the Leave vote to win anyway.

OP posts:
CatsinSpace · 29/03/2019 21:05

A remainer, by any chance?

YouBumder · 29/03/2019 21:07

I'm hoping for no deal, fingers crossed

Not learned much from all your questions the other day, have you?

Why are you hoping for something that’s widely predicted to be disastrous for decades?

BIWI · 29/03/2019 21:08

Why do you want no deal, @Peanut1983?

Even the EU doesn't want that. What's your thinking?

time4chocolate · 29/03/2019 21:08

Bear you do crack me up😂

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:08

Revoking will inflame the situation even more.

In reality it won’t.

Leavers are never going to get the utopia they think was possible. The best option is to just maintain the status quo.

Far less people will be affected by that.

Any form of Leave means no one is happy.

Remainers will be pissed offals the deal is worse than we had.

Leavers will be pissed off because they don’t have unicorns.

OP posts:
Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:10

time and catsin what do you seriously think can happen now?

OP posts:
Bowchicawowow · 29/03/2019 21:10

Bear It really will inflame the situation. Watching channel 4 news earlier it was clear that leavers are furious.

Bearbehind · 29/03/2019 21:12

Leavers can be as ‘furious’ as they like - the reality is that what they want is impossible.

They need to accept that.

Reported this thread. Such a nasty thread. I hope they delete it and you take your Brexit discussion to another thread, funny enough there are loads of them where you debate properly without being insulting

Bowchicawowow · 29/03/2019 21:17

They will accept that as well as you accepted the referendum result. I have listened to Owen Jones and Jess Phillips over the past few days and they both say that remainers (myself included) should accept the result and move forward towards a workable divorce from the EU. If we don’t honour the result we lose our democracy and that’s a lot more worrying than Brexit.

Kintan · 29/03/2019 21:17

The furious leavers will find something else to be furious about in time I’m sure. In the meantime, revoke and let the majority of people - both remainers and leavers - just get on with their lives just as they were doing before Cameron invoked this mess, a mess which the public did not ask for. I don’t know anyone who actually actively wanted the referendum in the first place.
