Personally I don’t but I have never heard a good reason to leave and I really want to, the mantra seems to be “we won so deal with it”
So if you are a leaver then please finish this sentence
I want to leave the EU because....

We most certainly can get rid of non mother Theresa by an election. Previous posters understanding of our democracy seems to only have advanced to elections at the constituency level. In our Parliament your constituency vote is effectively a proxy for a party, and therefore it’s current leader. There’s some strange logic and national self loathing going on if people think the EU is properly democratic.

SingleDad - we can't, May could be in for another 2 years! and her successor is in for 5 years and all that happens is the majority decides, if your opinion is in the minority, its tough.

To me, its a matter of scale, the UK Govt has far far more impact on my life than the EU commision ever has, so i do not care if i have no direct democratic choice on an EU president, i don't have a direct vote on who is PM either.

To gain back control over our country
To regain our sovereignty

@SingleDadReally
Define 'properly democratic'

backaftera2yearbreak · 01/04/2019 22:29

My partner voted leave...why? Protest vote. Never been able to expand on why but he was first in line to claim his Irish passport as is his right under the good Friday agreement!

Jason118 · 01/04/2019 22:29

@Ironfloor269
What sovereignty are you referring to?

Windowsareforcheaters · 01/04/2019 22:34

@Ironfloor269

To gain back control over our country
To regain our sovereignty

Because we don't have sovereignty now?

What the fuck do you think is going on if it is not sovereignty in action?

It's a shambles and a disgrace but it is Parliamentary sovereignty.
