Vote 12th March: Meaningful Vote on the Withdrawal Agreement

Vote 13th March: If WA fails, vote on No Deal

Vote 14th March: If WA fails, vote on A50 extension

Not much more to add at this stage that's not repeating what's been said before.

BBC news says DUP officially reject the deal.

Sostenueto · 12/03/2019 14:21

Well DUP rejecting deal officially. ERG rejecting it too. Is there any point in having a vote?
TM has a sore throat but battling on. Sorry I have only a modicum of sympathy.

BigChocFrenzy · 12/03/2019 14:24

I'd be happy with long extension after extension, until we could bin Brexit
BUT there seems no political will to extend beyond 22 May, either in the UK or EU
or to Revoke

... precisely because both the Tory & Labour leadership want Brexit to happen.
If Corbyn is replaced at any time, the situation would change dramatically

What happens after the WA is voted down - as expected - will depend on whether MPs vote for an extension and if so, whether they specify any particular length

(If they vote against No Deal and also against an extension Confused, they are just being silly)

The EU decision on any extension will be made during the European Council Meeting, 21-22 March

So the crunch time for the UK to make the final decisions could be 24-29 March,
or if we have the expected short extension, then the last few days before 22 May

In either case, the WA will be the only one on offer
and the HoC must finally decide if it prefers No Deal to the WA

Immaterial really. They won't get it.

DGRossetti · 12/03/2019 14:31

Er, the HoC has decided.

Twice.

Is no one paying attention ?

Holidayshopping · 12/03/2019 14:43

She is really struggling in the HoC this afternoon-hardly got any voice left at all!

DGRossetti · 12/03/2019 14:44

Not so much a few letters falling off a board, as the whole country falling around her ears ....

Holidayshopping · 12/03/2019 14:50

Absolutely!

As an aside, why are so many MPs on their phones!? What are they doing??

TalkinPaece · 12/03/2019 15:24

RTB
I suspect a fair few are being threatened by Whips through Whatsapp
let alone the new Tom Watson party plotting away like mad Wink

Holidayshopping · 12/03/2019 15:26

How much can whips threaten you? What would they actually say?

Very good clip Grin

bellinisurge · 12/03/2019 15:33

I noticed the phones too. I definitely saw some swiping. I wonder if they were on Tinder GrinConfused

BiglyBadgers · 12/03/2019 15:34

Possibly a certain amount of threatening, I'm sure most MPs have something hidden in a closet they would rather didn't come out, also I imagine an awful lot of peerages and nice favours being offered about right now.

Quite a few are problem on twitter as well.

RedToothBrush · 12/03/2019 15:35

I wonder if any are on MN...

... if only!
