I've been reading Brexit threads and it's always the same people talking about how unhappy they are about Brexit.
I guess Brexit leave voters have no time to waste on forums.

6 weeks off?
Really hoping op isn't a teacher...
Maybe a kid who doesn't know any better?

ragged · 25/08/2018 17:49

St. Petersburg, surely. IRA, Fancy Bears. All that.

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 18:05

As someone who travels a lot, anything to make it easier is good for me.
I want to be British European although feel a bit embarrassed about the 'British' part now. Fortunately, despite some suggestions by others to the contrary, Continental Europeans are friendly folk, especially if a beer is involved!

PositivelyPERF · 25/08/2018 18:06

Peregrina I'm sure a compromise will be reached between Ireland and N Ireland. Why would they want to start killing each other again

Just to be clear, who exactly do you think are killing each other?

PoisonousSmurf · 25/08/2018 18:10

Remainers caused it. They called poor people stupid and tried to scare them. Remember, the poor will always out number the rich!

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 18:22

I'm a bit over this idea that stupid, poor, working class people voted leave because we hate the rest of you and this is our revenge.

I'm working class, I voted remain and guess what plenty others did to! The most pro brexit people I know have degrees, middle class, Tory voters.

But yeah man generalizing is cool...

Doesn't reinforce classism, no sir.

PositivelyPERF · 25/08/2018 18:25

FFS! Do you think that only people with money voted remain? The majority of NI voted remain, so how does that square with your weird accusation?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 25/08/2018 18:26

Nobody thought anyone was stupid until a bunch of stupid fuckers voted for Brexit. I loathe them all, rich or poor.

Buteo · 25/08/2018 18:27

Ooh, lots of buttons being pressed now.

Sovereignty.
Democracy, will of the people etc.
ECJ.
Immigration.
Supranational EU.
Patriotism.
Benefits getting sent home.
Abu Hamza.
Armed forces veterans on the streets.

We haven’t reached Turkey joining the EU or the EU army but I’m betting it won’t be long.

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 18:31

Nowt so British as planning the poor though is there? Is this what we've got to look forward to Victorian Britain?

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 18:32

Planning the poor? Blaming the poor**! Though the goverment does seem to be planning to make us all poor

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 18:36

JRM or one of the others has already suggested workhouses.

woodfires · 25/08/2018 18:59

The majority in Scotland and NI voted remain, they did not do so because they are wealthier than England. This is nonsense.

twofingerstoEverything · 25/08/2018 19:00

It was Dominic Raab (our very own Brexit negotiator) who liked the idea of workhouses. He would also like to privatise healthcare.

StorminaBcup · 25/08/2018 19:01

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, I'm just wondering how they will repackage the Poor Laws to tempt voters.

Anasnake · 25/08/2018 20:02

Rees Mogg quoted today, wanting inspections at the Irish border just as they were 'during the troubles'.

Anasnake · 25/08/2018 20:04

Someone on Twitter called him a 'haunted pencil' which is the best insult I've ever heard Grin

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 20:14

In that case I suggest Mr Mogg takes his clipboard and stands on one of the 'border' main roads and starts checking trucks himself.

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 20:14

Where was the quote from @Anasnake?

Buteo · 25/08/2018 20:15

Rees Mogg is an anachronistic little fuck weasel. The EU (Withdrawal) Act (which has already passed through Parliament and received Royal Assent) does not permit any border checks or physical infrastructure that were not already in place prior to Brexit day.

Anasnake · 25/08/2018 20:56

petition.parliament.uk/petitions/217857

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 21:00

Thanks, I watched that and I am 'stunned' at the comments.
Mind you some of the other videos from the Express were starting to 'weird me out' in the sheer lack of thinking shown.
The suggestion put forward that Mr Junker is wanting the return of 'the troubles' for example.
