I've been reading Brexit threads and it's always the same people talking about how unhappy they are about Brexit.
I guess Brexit leave voters have no time to waste on forums.

OP posts:

OP
My home country has a Blue passport as well - jealous yet ?

Frequency · 25/08/2018 15:25

Most be hard to understand that it doesn't matter what you do. Come the 29th of March we are out ready or not

Why do you sound so gleeful about it? Do you still not comprehend what leaving the EU will do?

The only positives are for people like Jacob Rees-Mogg, who've moved their mountains of cash out of the UK and can re-invest in the UK when everything crashes and they can now buy more £s for the euros.

For everyone else it will get worse. Possibly only a little bit worse possibly inconceivably worse.

Why do you think that is worth celebrating? Are you Jacob Rees-Mogg?

BertrandRussell · 25/08/2018 15:26

Ihate-do you understand the difference between the ECHR and the EU?

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 15:39

Anyone who read the 'chequers agreement' and puts it up against the founding principles of the EU can see that it is complete cobblers and a waste of a nice piece of paper.
They could have got a 6 year old to write a fairy story to present to Mr Barnier and there would be greater chance of some of it coming true, rather than a truckload of overpaid MPs going for a day in a nice house.
A TOTAL embarrassment as it showed that NONE of them had actually bothered to read and comprehend the EU rules, many of which the UK helped write.

bellinisurge · 25/08/2018 15:59

"You lot". Laugh my feckin arse off at that.
Actually, @Ihatemycar , you did need a good reason to Leave the EU. It's not like giving up wine during the week.

Thomasinaa · 25/08/2018 16:10

You will suffer too OP. Silver lining

pointythings · 25/08/2018 16:27

You still haven't said whether you understand the difference between the EU and the ECHR...

Thomasinaa · 25/08/2018 16:30

I'm a single parent and am losing my job because you fancied leaving the EU for no reason. Cheers mate.

woodfires · 25/08/2018 16:34

This is a serious problem with the referendum, people didn't need a reason either good or bad. A vote given for an emotional response has exactly the same weight as one on either side that was carefully thought out or someone who went dib dab dob.

Helmetbymidnight · 25/08/2018 16:38

You will suffer too OP.

She'll be fine, apparently she's a property millionaire. 14 properties, is it?

It's funny that there are still Brexiteers going on about the disenfranchised' wanting Brexit. The only Brexiteers left on MN don't seem that ...um... disenfranchised to me.

Frequency · 25/08/2018 16:44

She'll be fine, apparently she's a property millionaire. 14 properties, is it?

Really?! Shock

I don't get this, I see it in my freelancing work too. I can spell, I can grammar, I have a basic working knowledge of the EU, trade blocs, the global economy and other useful facts. I have qualifications, many, many qualifications in useful things like admin, English, media marketing, psychology and law. I work hard, it is not unusual for me to work 18 hours a day and I can't afford to take my kids to the freakin' beach, never mind a holiday.

What am I doing wrong? Where are my millions? It's not fair Sad

On the plus side, a reasonable but not massive chunk of my income comes from outside the UK, so the £ crashing might not be so bad for me. I'd rather it not happen, though on account of I am not the only person I care about.

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 16:49

thomasinaa Flowers sorry about your job. If we exited brexit would you keep it or have the decisions already been made?

StorminaBcup · 25/08/2018 16:51

I voted to leave because I want to leave the EU. I don't need a reason I just want to.

Brexit in a nutshell.

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 16:52

frequency you may have made the mistake of not being a selfish ass, selfish asses make their millions then make political decisions based on feelings. Cake

Thomasinaa · 25/08/2018 16:52

Trying to be positive, rich Brexiters' property will massively fall in value. And they will have to sell them to pay for health care and care home when elderly, and their private pensions will drop in value, and the areas where they live will become worse affected by crime and homelessness, and all local services will be cut or got rid of completely, and there will be far more non-white people everywhere, including looking after them when they are elderly (may not like that).

AnnieKenney · 25/08/2018 16:53

Frequency A fair bit of my freelancing work comes from outside the UK too. Are you confident of still getting work permits in EU countries?

Thomasinaa · 25/08/2018 16:54

If we don't exit, or soft exit, or at least exit in a slow and organised manner, I would keep my job for the time being, though would be looking at shorter hours and less pay.

Frequency · 25/08/2018 16:56

I don't think I'll need one as I work from within the UK, online. Tax treaties are a little more concerning.

I'm guessing the ones we have currently are linked to the EU?

Hazardswan · 25/08/2018 16:59

thomasinaa if you have the time and haven't already email your MP, set out how a hard or no deal brexit would personally affect you (and your bubba sorry I forget MN hates the word bubba lol) and that your not for it obviously.

Every little nag helps! Wine

AnnieKenney · 25/08/2018 16:59

Re tax treaties - yes they are. Its all about to get much more complicated...

Blessthekids · 25/08/2018 17:01

I find it funny when people say things like why are Remainers moaning and they should just put up and shut up? When has this ever been the British way? Fighting spirit anyone? I personally don't see us moaning but constructively fighting back because we believe that Brexiters are wrong. I am happy for you to have your opinion but this does not mean that I am not going to sign petitions or write to my MP or believe that the NHS needs EU workers or demand another referendum.
We will just have to agree to differ, OP.

woodfires · 25/08/2018 17:02

thomasinaa I too am very sorry. Personally it was the kick up the behind to leave the UK for a while and we are likely to reasonably insulated no one with property or pensions will be unscathed. People without these things will be even worse hit.

1tisILeClerc · 25/08/2018 17:24

I am a Remainer, but I am not 'moaning' particularly, but I am bloody furious!

bellinisurge · 25/08/2018 17:35

Maybe all us Remainers are watching 3Blokes on YouTube and the pesky expert information really makes us a little bit less keen to be converted by Brexit cheerleaders.

Longtalljosie · 25/08/2018 17:36

How’s the weather in Moscow, Ihatemycar?
