.......would you vote the same as you did originally?

OP posts:
Helmetbymidnight · 17/07/2018 22:15

What are you talking about?

The Westminsters thread were started by leavers who ran away because of aggressive foreign bots who came to the U.K. via Europe which is why they’re Remainers?!?!?

Confused
PostNotInHaste · 17/07/2018 22:15

Don’t be so utterly ridiculous. Westminstenders started shortly after the referendum result when people were in shock at what happened and the events that happened after ie. Cameron resigning and Labour Party falling into disarray. It’s followed and discussed the Trump election and the 2017 general election with TM shooting off to see the Queen.

There’s a main body of posters on it regularly but I suspect many lurkers of which I’m one. It absolutely did not start last year by Leavers and get hijecjed, you’re thinking of the Brexit Arms or whatever it’s called I assume, get your facts straight .

Pretty obvious but I would vote the same again.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 17/07/2018 22:17

The Brexit arms was flag waving flannel with no substance. Leavers seemed to get upset when they were politely asked for their thoughts on how brexit could be implemented.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:17

Apparently helmet

I was on some of those earlier threads

But i would know if i was a foreign bot wouldn't i

I really want to know who they are...allegedly

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:17

postinhaste

Yeah i did wonder if britt meant the brexit arms

BoneyBackJefferson · 17/07/2018 22:19

pfttt
One in which Leave AREN'T ALLOWED TO CHEAT.

Does that mean you want remain to tell the truth as well, or are you happy with their brand of bullshit?

Helmetbymidnight · 17/07/2018 22:21

There’s incoherent and there’s really incoherent....

I think you might be a foreign bot, rufus, Reindeers aren’t native British, are they? Very suspicious.

TheElementsSong · 17/07/2018 22:22

So we have 2 posters now being very clear that the Westministenders thread (the one thread) was started by a Leaver and taken over by Remainer bullies etc etc? Very very very clear, yes?

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:23

Oh shit

Good point helmet

Did not think of that

Will name change immediately to RufusthebornandbredinBritainreindeer

God thats a bit of a mouthful...said the actress to the bishop

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:24

Yes elements

Very very clear

I cant be arsed to check but i thought westministers was remain and berxit arms was leaver

Helmetbymidnight · 17/07/2018 22:25

Staggering.

Helmetbymidnight · 17/07/2018 22:26

I love the suggestion that they are only Remainers because they are foreign.

It’s not the first time I’ve heard it of course.

GinisLife · 17/07/2018 22:28

Voted leave and would vote leave again - and would have voted to never join in the first place had I been old enough. I've never agreed with the EU. I just don't see how you can mould 28 nations with such different cultures/economies/ideals into one big happy family. It was as never going to work. We should just tell them to fuck off, we're gone. Stuff all this negotiating shit.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:28

It’s not the first time I’ve heard it of course

No it was said quite a bit on EU threads

TheElementsSong · 17/07/2018 22:29

I'm hoping for clarification, since it has been confidently stated a couple of times now, that The Westministenders Thread was started last year by a Leaver who got bullied off by Remainers. I mean, on such a trivial and easily AS-ed fact surely they couldn't be wrong - if so, how am I to have faith in their greater and more esoteric truths?

Also still hoping for clarification on the Remainers-foreign-bots-with-further-dodgy-but-definitely-not-racist-implications.

kalidasa · 17/07/2018 22:30

My vote wouldn't change. DH spoilt his ballot last time but would vote leave now.

PostNotInHaste · 17/07/2018 22:33

Here’s a Westminstenders thread started 7th July 2016 just in case anyone is still suffering from selective amnesia which seen very popular post referendum.

greathat · 17/07/2018 22:34

I don't understand why people are pissed off with the EU negotiators. Their job is to get the best deal for the EU. They used to represent us, thanks to brexit they don't any more. Seems a bit crazy to expect them to want to do us any favours.... it's like the people complaining about businesses leaving the UK, of course they are. The money is in the EU, the regulations they work by is set by the EU. Why would they stay?

TheElementsSong · 17/07/2018 22:37

Dammit PostNot I was waiting for one of the very very very very sure posters to show their working Grin

Anyway I can do better that that so ner - this is the first thread that actually bears the name Westministenders, and it conveniently links to the 3 original threads. None of which were started by Leavers.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 17/07/2018 22:39

I dunno, red is a very Russian sounding colour ...

Rumboogie · 17/07/2018 22:45

It is interesting that posters here have pointed out that the Remain campaign was not called out regarding either its lies (at least equal to, if not exceeding any that Vote Leave may have been guilty of)

www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/matthew-ellery/leave-lies-remainers-need_b_12191462.html

or their overspending, which far exceeded that of Vote Leave

www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2016/04/08/not-even-david-camerons-93-million-on-a-leaflet-will-sell-an-ide/

Perhaps it is about time this was taken up.

PostNotInHaste · 17/07/2018 22:45

Sorry and well done for finding the original Grin Just to make it really easy, here’s the link to the first Mumsnet Westminstenders thread :

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/eu_referendum_2016_/2670552-Has-Boris-been-outmanoeuvred?pg=1

TheElementsSong · 17/07/2018 22:50

Post Grin I suppose we're not going to get a retraction of the several-times-repeated claim, now.

Nor ever get an unpacking of the MN Remainers are foreign-originating, well, whatever they were nose-tappingly implying.

Talkstotrees · 17/07/2018 22:53

Remain. Still remain.

Would love to believe Brexit was good as it would stop me worrying about the future of me, my family, my country. Not seen anything to alter my original opinion.

colouringinagain · 17/07/2018 22:53

Yes. Remain. Given all that is going on in world politics, especially in terms of Russia and US, I honestly think it would be suicidal to vote Leave now. Oh and the EU have just negotiated a major trade deal with Japan which as the UK on it's own we'd get nowhere near.
