Good news yesterday < gets out green highlighter >
Still work to be done but it’s another step in the right direction.

Wine

Ps: completely given up on the Brexit Arms as it’s been taken over by remainers.
This is our chilled out place to post on in the run up to March 2019.

Positive people only Smile

its the victim mentality bear.

KennDodd · 25/03/2018 14:04

@surferjet

Do you genuinely not see the racism of many Leavers? Most people I know (Maybe 65%) absolutely are racist, not concerned about pressure on public services, or other such views, but proper, they should all fuck off home, racist. And I don't want to paint all Leaver voters with that brush because it would be unfair and untrue, but do you really not see they racism? I also follow Vote Leave and Leave EU on Facebook, they racism on there is appalling, go and have a look for yourself, don't take my word for it. These are the official campaigns, not the more extremist Britain First/NF etc lot. Who do you think Britain First and other members of racist groups voted for? The were Brexits biggest fans and were in full support, what do you think appealed to them about your offer? And the reason I know what big fans those groups were of Brexit is because I followed the official Leave campaigns on Facebook and members shared their racist posts and they would get hundreds of likes. In defence of some Leave voters, a few would argue against these sort of post a and views but they were greatly outnumbered.

Now, I'm not accusing you of any kind of racism, not in the slightest, but I'm yet to hear a single Leave supporting poster even consider the posibility that racism was a factor for some voters EVER, on any of these threads. Do you just not see it? It was posted on billboards 20 feet high with Nigel Farage in front of it.

bearbehind · 25/03/2018 14:06

It pathetic.

mummmy completely infuriated me yesterday and today's offerings are no better.

I genuinely don't understand why Leavers are so happy to show the world they've no fucking idea what they're talking about or why they are so proud of their ignorance of the facts.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 14:09

Bear, don’t rise to it. Deep down they know they’ve been had. These threads are the only thing they have to keep the illusion going.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:09

Do you genuinely not see the racism of many Leavers?

Many?
Are we still doing the 'leavers are racist' schtick?

So 2016.

Now, I'm not accusing you of any kind of racism, not in the slightest,

That's a relief!
Although reading the rest of the Racists! Everywhere! assertions in your post, it sort of seems like you are tbh.

(And you ended that sentence with a 'but', so yeah - 'I'm not saying you're a racist, but' is pretty much negating the 'I don't think you're a racist' comment).

bearbehind · 25/03/2018 14:10

You're probably right ghost

As I said before, it's only the true head bangers left now.

Moussemoose · 25/03/2018 14:11

Please laugh away.

I am genuinely concerned that once we leave the EU the U.K. will drift away from any semblance of a fair society.

The poor and the dispossessed will become even more marginalised and disenchanted, possibly voting for increasingly extreme solutions.

The negatives of Brexit are potential very serious, I'm happy to discuss. Or you can just post pictures and laugh.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:11

These threads are the only thing they have to keep the illusion going.

The progression of the Brexit negotiations to the next stage is not an illusion.

KennDodd · 25/03/2018 14:12

@BrandySchnapps

Go and have a look for yourself, or just keep up the no racists here line, maybe you really don't see it.

bearbehind · 25/03/2018 14:14

The progression of the Brexit negotiations to the next stage is not an illusion.

Oh, it is. It's going no further until NI is sorted, and none of you have any idea how that can happen if we leave SM/CU so guess what, we won't be leaving.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:15

✅ I am genuinely concerned

✅ fair society.

✅ The poor

✅ the dispossessed

✅ marginalised

✅ The negatives of Brexit are potential very serious

Don't throw your back out with all that virtue signalling!!

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:16

Go and have a look for yourself, or just keep up the no racists here line, maybe you really don't see it.

Had a look - cannot find any racist comments on this thread.

Can you direct me to them?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 14:17

The leavers here are quite unique in that they don’t want anything from Brexit. This is a clever defence mechanism/get out of jail card because it exonerates them from answering questions/seeing brexit as a disappointment.

Most leavers want something from Brexit. These will be the brexiteers who don’t post here now because they see they’ve been sold a pup. See the Guardian link I posted yesterday re: angry fisherman for evidence of the disappointment

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 14:19

Isn’t virtue signalling what leavers did when they banged on about fisherman not getting a fair deal and working class people being ignored?

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:21

Just wondering if the elusive racist comments are the deleted ones on this thread?

Perhaps that's why I can't find them?

Moussemoose · 25/03/2018 14:24

Well if I'm virtue signalling it must be because I'm virtuousGrin

It's what I believe. I am fortunate, good job, well off - relatively. I have always voted for parties that would increase my tax burden and help those less fortunate. I could have a job in the private sector that pays more I choose not to do this. Is all that virtue signalling? I call it putting my money where my mouth is. I don't just talk this shit I try to do stuff about it.

Does that make you uncomfortable? Is it easier to laugh and dismiss people rather than argue with them. You could talk about Brexit and discuss the issues or you could make it personal?

Let's stop talking about policy and start making personal points. Could that be because you know your points on the positive aspects of Brexit will be annihilated?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 14:25

Try googling Gina Miller and racism. HTH.

LondonMum8 · 25/03/2018 14:26

@BrandySchnapps

deliberate coordination between the various remain campaigns

Any sensible references? Still waiting. Or was that another brain fart?

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:27

Does that make you uncomfortable?

Nope.
Should it?

Is the purpose of your virtuosity to make others feel uncomfortable?

KennDodd · 25/03/2018 14:28

Not on these threads, I didn't say or even suggest there were any on this thread. Have a look at Leave groups and Britian First (now removed) etc facebook pages, it's not even subtle, talk about closing down all mosques, what scum Romainians are, how Polish people all steal, etc. Mostly it seems to be about how much they hate Muslims and how Brexit will save us all.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:30

Have a look at Leave groups and Britian First (now removed) etc facebook pages,

I've no reason nor desire to view these pages - why would I?

Leave groups - the Ref happened 2 years ago, so they hold no interest for me.

Britain First - I've never frequented their pages.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 14:32

Lost another argument Brandy.

KennDodd · 25/03/2018 14:32

Britain First had two million followers on Facebook.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 14:34

I didn't say or even suggest there were any on this thread

I mistook 'here' to mean 'here' (as in MN).
Easy mistake.

"Do you genuinely not see the racism of many Leavers?"
"keep up the no racists here line, maybe you really don't see it."

LondonMum8 · 25/03/2018 14:35

@GhostofFrankGrimes
The leavers here are quite unique in that they don’t want anything from Brexit. This is a clever defence mechanism/get out of jail card because it exonerates them from answering questions/seeing brexit as a disappointment.

Quite, although more precisely they are juet seeing that they won't be getting much of anything from Brexit (surferjet's won't be seeing all the Europeans out of the country for example) , hence to save face as the voters for the moronic Brexit, they are just rehashing those meaningless freedom soundbites. So 2016.
