Good news yesterday < gets out green highlighter >
Still work to be done but it’s another step in the right direction.

Wine

Ps: completely given up on the Brexit Arms as it’s been taken over by remainers.
This is our chilled out place to post on in the run up to March 2019.

But she knows if she accepts the SM/CM it isn't acceptable too the MP's your placing your hopes on that. When her party don't want that and in fact no deal is possible .
If The EU were too be told she just can not do it their way then it's the only option ... This latest agreement lists an option neither the DUP or UK want.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 19:09

It's actually an amazing exercise in demonstrating how easily people can be manipulated when they can't be arsed to look further than the end of their nose,

Can any Leavers counter the points I've listed that we've conceded?

Can any of you explain why you're happy that the so called 'red lines' didn't even go pink, they just evaporated?

I simply don't understand why you can't see you're being set up for a u-turn on SM/CU.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 19:13

But she knows if she accepts the SM/CM it isn't acceptable too the MP's your placing your hopes on that

There's not enough MP's who find that unacceptable.

Most are realists except for the few swivel eyed ones who are supported by the likes of you.

It's not enough.

You won't get your cliff edge.

You'll get sold out with a pointless BINO where we end up worse off.

And the really sad thing is, you won't revolt against that, you'll pretend it's all you ever expected.

Pitiful.

Questions which have been answered before.

No I don't think it is that...TM didn't look like she was a loser...
Something has happened behind the scenes.
She has been told.Something

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 19:16

brandy, tell me where and I'll happy go and read them.

The fact is, they haven't been because you all said each one wouldn't happen.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 19:18

Know we said till the deal is sorted it's not a deal.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 19:20

TM is a Remainer at heart.

I'm sure she'll be more than happy to be seen to blame the EU for us having to effectively stay in the EU.

gussyfinknottle · 24/03/2018 19:20

Sealioning? Hilarious. How dare we spoil this lovely happy thread by asking for evidence that this is gonna be G---REAT!!! Honestly, some people wanting evidence. It's just so childish.
I get it. Remain lost. The bad news is that we aren't going to shut up and go away. You didn't convince us before the vote that this was a great idea. And you still aren't managing to do it afterwards.

Peregrina · 24/03/2018 19:24

This latest agreement lists an option neither the DUP or UK [don't] want.

If the DUP don't like it, as far as I am concerned, it's up to May to work out an agreement with them. She got herself into the mess, she can get herself out.

As far as anyone has asked the rest of the UK, May's throwing her majority away and having to depend on a deal stitched up with the DUP, only told us that they didn't like what May was doing before her unnecessary election.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 19:59

The EU took 30 seconds to sign.. why because they have a massive problem looming... And I don't think we are it.

surferjet · 24/03/2018 19:59

TM is a Remainer at heart

Yes she is - but she’ll want to go down in history as being the PM who got us out of Europe successfully.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 20:01

No she wont, she'll. revert to 'I told you so'

You can't even begin to defend all the 'red lines' she's already crossed.

You're being sucked in and you're all too stupid to see it.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 20:06

The EU have rolled over on a few things they said they wouldn't this has been done quickly.. why....
Which EU member is making them sweat
..

JWIM · 24/03/2018 20:08

What do you think is the EU problem mummy?

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 20:08

Can you name one thing the EU have 'rolled over on' muummmy?

And before you try it, the ability to negotiate trade deals with countries we can't name, and that can't be invoked until after the transition period, isn't one of them.

JWIM · 24/03/2018 20:09

What has the EU 'rolled over on'?

gussyfinknottle · 24/03/2018 20:10

Anyone else hearing the music from The Magic Roundabout? Or is that just for old people like me?

LondonMum8 · 24/03/2018 20:15

"but she’ll want to go down in history as being the PM who got us out of Europe successfully."

Perhaps, but that's like saying Hitler'd wanted to go down in history as the destroyer of Europe, which he likely did desire.

Brexit will be vilified by historians whichever way it goes at this point. If it's somehow rolled back or watered down into BINO, it will have damaged the UK regardless. A hard brexit would be an absolute disaster.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 20:27

They said the NI issue had to be settled to move on..it's not...
They are not as tight as you think

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 20:29

Do you read/ listen to the news mummmy Hmm

Tusk has said 'Ireland first'

We won't get any further until we sort Ireland, however much you wish that weren't the case?

JWIM · 24/03/2018 20:36

Agreed, that the NI issue has not been finalised but that was to give TM/DD/DUP the opportunity to find the no border/border infrastructure solution they say is possible. But I would be content to agree that there has been an accommodation to the UK by the EU. But until the NI issue is settled there will be no agreement - June 2018 and counting down.

So the transition agreement has 3 possibilities and one of them must be agreed to move forward - includes the back stop of NI remaining within the CU/SM, and two other impossible to achieve within the GFA/BA/peace agreement.

Anything else that the UK demanded and the EU has capitulated?

And what is the problem the EU has that you alluded to?

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 20:39

They said that last time...
If we can't sort then it Will be no deal.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 20:49

USA. Swiss. Italy take your pick.

Hasenstein · 24/03/2018 20:51

Mummy

"If we can't sort then it Will be no deal."

But that would then be in breach of the GFA/BA. Do you really think we could run the risk of becoming a pariah nation which breaks international treaties? How many of those tasty trade deals would we then be able to strike? Who wants to deal with a country which reneges on its international obligations?

What then about the Open Skies agreement? We've already broken off talks with the US about flying rights as we felt they were being unreasonable.

I could go on about all the other problems no deal would cause, but they've all been mentioned here ad nauseam before.

Still, you seem quite content with all this. Or is it that you don't really understand all the implications?
