Good news yesterday < gets out green highlighter >
Still work to be done but it’s another step in the right direction.

Wine

Ps: completely given up on the Brexit Arms as it’s been taken over by remainers.
This is our chilled out place to post on in the run up to March 2019.

Positive people only Smile

USA. Swiss. Italy take your pick.

Not sure what this comment refers to.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 20:53

Goodness only knows hasenstein

I wouldn't be surprised if mummmy doesn't know Italy is in the EU.

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 20:59

I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get your expected results....

Hasenstein · 24/03/2018 21:03

I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get your expected results....

Again, not sure what this comment refers to. Are you just bunging our random musings now?

JWIM · 24/03/2018 21:07

And they are actual problems because? I'm not aware of any issues that affect the EU so would appreciate your explanation of the problems and, of course some evidence to support.

JWIM · 24/03/2018 21:14

Mummy it is not those who voted remain who have some 'expected results', as is often pointed out, you won so it is your expected result that will or will not occur.

My positive for this evening is that you, Mummy, do not know what outcome you are expecting so cannot be disappointed whatever the result of our Govt's actions.

bearbehind · 24/03/2018 21:22

It was an absolutely genius ploy on behalf of Leave; promise nothing tangible so no one can be disappointed.

I'm just astounded at the rate of which Leavers are having their expectations managed downwards and the fact they don't even notice.

LondonMum8 · 25/03/2018 10:35

Leave campaign was a professional con machine. Apparently the worked around the funding rules, and, unsurprisingly, were powered by Cambridge Analytica's IP via a Canadian clone:

I think the ones that surfer was hoping would make this thread a list of unicorn sightings have noticed. That's why they are very quiet, and all we are left with are the likes of Mummy - who may as well be a crude neural net as far as I can see. I think I've had better results from the automated helpdesks some firms run ....

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 11:05

Thing is leavers here have shown they don't care about the circumstances of the referendum wrt CA or anything else. They ignore the impact assessment reports. They want Brexit at any cost whilst shouting about democracy, sovereignty and will of the people. All proven to be complete hypocrisy.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 11:06

No deliberate coordination between the various remain campaigns to circumvent funding rules.... no conflation of 'govt funding' & campaign funding to allow the remain campaign further funding & reach...

no, no, no - nothing to see here...

AgnesSkinner · 25/03/2018 11:07

And, surprise surprise, the DUP paid AIQ to work on the EU referendum and NI elections.

AggregrateIQ is thought to have 'micro-targeted' voters with political advertising on social media using their personal data.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 11:07

That's why they are very quiet,

Not at all - silent because of the expected yawnsome pile-ons of the remoaner attack squad.

It's so 2016.

DGRossetti · 25/03/2018 11:20

Not at all - silent because of the expected yawnsome pile-ons of the remoaner attack squad.

I find myself idly wondering what else they expected in a 52/48 split ...

LondonMum8 · 25/03/2018 11:23

@BrandySchnapps

deliberate coordination between the various remain campaigns

Any sensible references?

bearbehind · 25/03/2018 11:24

It's hardly 'a pile on' to ask Leavers to explain their comments brandy

mummmy goes on about us doing trade deals with other countries, yet had absolutely know idea which countries that applies to.

I agree with DRG that it's only the head bangers left on here because I suspect the others are finding it harder to defend their position due to the watering down of Brexit that happens everytime we go to Brussels.

surferjet · 25/03/2018 11:25

This board has always had very few leavers on it - mumsnet as a whole has quite a few Brexiteers, but I know for a fact they don’t bother coming on these threads because they don’t want to hear the same old crap they were hearing two years ago.
They have better things to do -

unfortunately I haven’t.

You mean the reality, the truth? That sort of crap?

Are you suggesting that the MN demographic wasn't in line with the 52/48 in the nation ? If so, it might be more interesting to ponder what that may mean. If anything.

BrandySchnapps · 25/03/2018 11:40

It means exactly the same as the fact that the MN demographic is at odds with the national demographic wrt GEs.

MN is not representative of the UK as a whole.

surferjet · 25/03/2018 11:46

DGRossetti

I’m not sure how familiar you are with the MN brand? but it’s mainly middle class, leftie women, aged over 30.
I would imagine most of them voted remain.
There are more leavers on the main boards yes, but remain voters are far & away the more dominant here.
They are very few men or under 25’s on MN, so you’re only ever getting a tiny snapshot of things really.
It’s like walking into the women’s institute and wanting a conversation on football.

You’ll get a bit of chat but nothing substantial.

To just consider one aspect of this discrepancy: if the average Briton cared as much about education as the average MNer we'd be wiping the floor with Singapore in PISA results.

Heremeout · 25/03/2018 11:48

I'm with you surfert but can't be bothered with a bun fight with a load of old bloody remoaners!
I just can't wait to be free from Brussels and all those weird freeloaders.
I'd rather have a reduced level of income for a few years than stay in the Eu.
You lot can all say what you want now! I'm off!

GhostofFrankGrimes · 25/03/2018 11:50

Another inspired Brexiteer contribution....

DGRossetti · 25/03/2018 11:51

Looks down.

Hmm

I was aware of Mumsnet brand when it first kicked off, as the marketing research bods at a previous employer flagged it up. On a personal note, I wish I'd joined then, rather than 3 years ago ... it would have helped me make sense of the batshit MiL and her coven.
