Good news yesterday < gets out green highlighter >
Still work to be done but it’s another step in the right direction.

Wine

Ps: completely given up on the Brexit Arms as it’s been taken over by remainers.
This is our chilled out place to post on in the run up to March 2019.

Positive people only Smile

Brandy but 37% of the electorate is not a majority for a huge constitution change. It is not the will of 63% of the people who did not vote for Leave, whether that 63% either specifically voted to Remain or did not vote for any one of a number of reasons.

However you argue your figures, the fact remains that more voted to leave than to remain.

Less % of the country voted to remain.

In fact, a recent poll showed that a majority of leavers, remainers & non-voters want to get on with Brexit.

The hardcore remain element continue to dwindle in numbers.

LondonMum8 · 24/03/2018 13:03

OK more personal attacks from Leave bullies. Cool.

LondonMum8 · 24/03/2018 13:03

@BrandySchnapps References?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 24/03/2018 13:04

sorry I'm finding this rather confusing now. This is a thread in which the subject matter is Brexit that is correct isn't it? Posters have come on here to discuss Brexit. From what I can see no positives of Brexit have been identified but plenty of negatives have. The subject matter is still Brexit however the person who set up this thread is now throwing a strop because posters are talking about the wrong type of Brexit. The type of Brexit we should be talking about is the one that was essentially fantasy and debunked the day after the referendum - £350 mil for the NHS, for example? Is that fair?

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 13:06

Olivia what colour car is going to drive past your house next week...

AgnesSkinner · 24/03/2018 13:07

In an advisory referendum.

BrandySchnapps · 24/03/2018 13:09

In an advisory referendum.

The result of which was accepted by parliament, and as such was voted through by an overwhelming majority of MPs.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 24/03/2018 13:10

Guido, and change Britain: Make Brexit Happen. Nothing like balance eh? Desperate times.

surferjet · 24/03/2018 13:12

No. This is a thread for Brexiteers, or anyone else happy about leaving the EU.

That does not include you lot, so why do you keep coming on here?
Am I the only leaver in your life?
I’m sorry you can’t get through a single day without talking to me but honestly we have nothing in common.
Please be happy with someone else,
It’s me not you - etc etc

Surfer, you cannot police a thread particularly when people are talking about the subject matter.

LondonMum8 · 24/03/2018 13:20

@BrandySchnapps

order-order.com? Seriously? Looks like a fake news site set up by CA. Unbelievable...

mummmy2017 · 24/03/2018 13:21

But none of us have any control over the way things will play out now.
You do see that while we understand you WISH things had been thought out before hand these are not the cards being played right now.

surferjet · 24/03/2018 13:22

GhostofFrankGrimes
Are you happy we’re leaving the EU?

If you can answer yes to that question this thread is for you.
If your answer is no - then this thread is not for you.
That’s pretty simple to understand.

If you want to argue with leavers over Brexit go on Twitter - there’s millions of them only too willing to have arguments.

Surfer, you cannot tell other MN users what threads they can and cannot use. I happen to use Twitter as well, thanks.

AgnesSkinner · 24/03/2018 13:26

References?

The Guido link says it's a BMG poll for Change Britain. It's not on the BMG website nor on the Change Britain website.

Would be interesting to see the actual question asked. It won't be "with hindsight was the UK right or wrong to vote to leave the EU", which still is pretty consistent that the UK was wrong to vote Leave ...

BertrandRussell · 24/03/2018 13:29

The real "guilty party" here is whoever let the Conservatives go ahead with a straight majority vote on a subject as important as this. As a ex civil servant, I find this extraordinary. They must have been advised to make it a 60:40.......

BrandySchnapps · 24/03/2018 13:29

Was reported on elsewhere too.

BrandySchnapps · 24/03/2018 13:35

To be fair, I don't place any stock in polls - the only ones that matter are the ones with real votes.

Eu Ref - leave polled higher
GE - the party which was pro-remain tanked, & TM got most votes & seats

AgnesSkinner · 24/03/2018 13:41

GE - the party that was Hard Brexit lost its majority ...

BrandySchnapps · 24/03/2018 13:44

Lost its majority of seats, yet gained more votes than before and the highest vote share its had for a long time.

BTW can't see any CA coverage on the Heil and the Torygraph. Russian sellouts.

You have the right to vote, but you also have a responsibility to inform yourself before you vote.
