Good news yesterday < gets out green highlighter >
Still work to be done but it’s another step in the right direction.

Wine

Ps: completely given up on the Brexit Arms as it’s been taken over by remainers.
This is our chilled out place to post on in the run up to March 2019.

Positive people only Smile

Ifailed
One things for sure, if that happened I wouldn’t be on mumsnet all day ranting about it like you lot.
I’d accept it & get on with my life - because I actually have one outside of MN.

If anyone is involved in the NI negotiation can they please tell us all the latest news.
If not then......
I will wait as I would rather hear from the organ grinder that listen to the monkeys

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/03/2018 08:37

Can you ask them how hard brexit is working out too please mummy. Ta.

Ifailed · 23/03/2018 08:38

Er, Surferjet, you started this thread, and have posted 19 times on it!

LondonMum8 · 23/03/2018 08:43

If Brexit fails, it will be so because we have had an attempt at it courtesy of the Leave campaigners, the Leavers, the UK government, and the enabling UK parliament. I just don't see anything positive about it. It is a costly exercise, damaging to both the UK and Europe, and clearly playing into the hands of more or less hostile foreign superpowers such as Putinland, Trumpland, and the Xi Empire.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/03/2018 08:49

Anyone seen the cover of today’s Daily Mail? Fuming about foreign made British passports. So much for global trade deals eh. Brexit is jingoistic nonsense.

bearbehind · 23/03/2018 09:07

Which is madness in itself, because if Brexit fails you’ll suffer too.

We are all suffering already due to increased prices and the cost of this madness which could have been better spent elsewhere.

Brexit will 'fail' in that it won't actually happen.

We are heading for BINO which is the least worst option so most Remainers will be happy with that.

You obviously disagree; I wonder if it will begin to sink in when the u-turn on SM/CU happens.

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 09:15

The delusionions of remain and their stance of we won't leave when even the EU have confirmed we will be leaving stand as one of the most shocking statements I have ever heard.
How can you really still kid yourselves to this level. When in the last few months so much has been shown to be happening.
You use anything to continue to cling to what is now the past. There is a name for you it's a de-ni-er.
Will you still be holding this position as the exit happens.

bearbehind · 23/03/2018 09:18

We will leave in name only mummmy

We will stay pay for access to the EU markets
We will still have to abide by EU rules, only without a say in them

If you consider that 'leaving' that's your choice.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/03/2018 09:19

Mummy you cannot accept we are heading towards BINO. Which pisses me off in some respects because the cultists will never stop whinging.

They won but still moan about fish and passports. Eternal losers it seems.

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 09:23

The biggest hint you fail in to see Is the trade deal bit.
You can't do trade deals and remain in a CU and SM.

Whoops did you miss the logic on that one....

bearbehind · 23/03/2018 09:31

mummmy the trade deals negiotiations only comes into play if we get to the transistion period.

The transition period only comes into effect if we reach agreement on NI.

NI cannot be resolved unless we remain in SM/CU.

What 'logic' are you missing there?

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 09:35

That is just what you think .your as uneducated in the options as I am. I repeat we just don't know. We are the monkeys in all this not the organ grinders.
Let me know when the PM gives you a job.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 23/03/2018 09:40

If you are putting your faith in people like may, Davies, fox et al you will be severely disappointed. These people have contradicted themselves time and time again.

Cailleach1 · 23/03/2018 09:40

"you're as uneducated"

LondonMum8 · 23/03/2018 09:41

Before we dig ourselves deeper into a back and forth with @mummy2017, a quick sanity check.

@Mummy2017 can see how Brexit plays into Putin's anti European and also anti-British hand, or are you in denial about that obviously negative aspect of Brexit too?

Cailleach1 · 23/03/2018 09:42

That's just a joke. I make mistakes all the time and can't be bothered to go back and edit. Leave out articles too. Bigtime.

LondonMum8 · 23/03/2018 09:43

"your as uneducated"

That seems debatable.

Cailleach1 · 23/03/2018 09:47

No. Not debatable. It is you're. As in 'you are' shortened.

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 09:53

Did you know there is an article about people who worry about spelling.

If your one you don't come out well..
Seems they are sad individuals with issues...
It is a uni paper..

Cailleach1 · 23/03/2018 09:55

Oh God. It must be a fact, then. Maybe a choccie biccie will make me less sad.

If you're one

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 09:58

Why can't You see people who want to leave the EU do understand it is not some promised land. We voted to leave as we know there will NEVER be another chance to do this....
It takes guts to follow your heart and not hide in what you know..... Remain are clinging to the old like a limit still...

Cailleach1 · 23/03/2018 10:00

I'm not worrying. I'm chuckling 'cos I make the most awful typos myself. And cannot even be bothered to go back and correct them. My posts read like Pidgin sometimes.

LondonMum8 · 23/03/2018 10:00

@mummy2017: My comments were not directly related to your spelling. In the interest of our making a reasonable conversation, do you mind answering my Putin question above?

mummmy2017 · 23/03/2018 10:03

Something to do we seeing a written mistake. Shrugging and moving on as you know what the writer meant and it shows your not into petty point scoring.. to distract from the real point.... makes sense If you think about it... as face to face you wouldn't obsess about it..
