.... now we aim at the rest

Get over yourself.

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:59

Indeed, because when I first encountered his posts I thought he was a 21 year old uneducated woman
his analytical skills were those of a 5 year old

I know you are on the same 'side' as me talk but I find that comment deeply offensive.

Are you actually saying all 21 year old uneducated women have the analytical skills of a 5 year old?

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 22:00

Oh, that magical blocking that doesn't exist faith!

😮 can't believe you're doubting me!
😂😂

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 22:01

Prove me wrong then faith! 😆

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 22:02

I can't hear you.... you're breaking up....

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 22:03

Agnes or anyone who knows does the EFTA have a independant arbitration court.
Which we and EU could use as a template for Mrs May's proposed impartial arbitrition agreement.
Just wondering if it is possible in international law or pie in the sky thinking..
Also do EFTA countriea have their own FTA deals with countries Eu already have or would a UKFTA have to keep present EU deals.Does anyone know
Sorry more questions
Just trying to understand if all this possible.
Don't want to back a dead horse or pie in sky plans..Need whatever happens to work

I cant be arsed to get into an argument about this faith, as it's Friday night but don't you see the problem here.

You stated as fact you can block posters but it's all in your imagination.

It doesn't bode well for other things you state as fact but resolutely refuse to back up.

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 22:08

Honestly talkin i don't mind
I know compared to.many on here I am uneducated
I learn every day, don't we all.
I researched EU options in build up and still don't really understand difference.between EFTA and EEA membership truely so keep asking daft questions.
But can detect change in policy stance and tone

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 22:09

Bear, it was a joke.
I thought it was obvious.

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 22:10

surferjet · 02/03/2018 22:13

Good night user1471450935 Smile

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 22:13

Sorry, it wasn't obvious to me, or surfer it seems.

I guess I'm just pissed off you lot aren't passionate enough to care you're not getting the Brexit you wanted.

TM has set you up for BINO and you're not even bothered.

Why the fuck are we going through this process if that's the case?

JWIM · 02/03/2018 22:13

EFTA has ?24 trade agreements with 3rd countries. Some same countries as the EU but ?not the same terms.

It is not at all clear how the current EU treaties with 3rd countries might be continued to the benefit of the UK if/when the UK leaves the EU and becomes a 3rd country. As the FTA is between the EU member states and the country, say S Korea, I would conclude that it is a matter for both the EU and the 3rd country to independently decide what, if any, rights would be rolled over to the UK.

Honestly talkin i don't mind ~ I know compared to.many on here I am uneducated
And even compared with people on topics infinitely less contentious than this, you have a ton more manners

@bearbehind
My point is that in my work I spend my whole life turning around supertankers of opinion
from concrete to analytical thought
day in to sodding day out
and it has been an absolute breath of fresh air to meet somebody like User147 who turns on their brain and starts to hit the spot PDQ
If only the ones I got paid to deal with were as bright Wink

I can’t get passionate about every speech TM makes because ( if I’m being totally honest ) I’m not convinced what she’s saying will actually happen.
I don’t think we’ll know exactly what type of Brexit we’re getting for a while yet.

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 22:21

I don’t think we’ll know exactly what type of Brexit we’re getting for a while

No, you're not going to admit the kind of Brexit we're getting but that doesn't mean the rest of us don't know what kind of Brexit that is.

user yes, EFTA has the Court of Justice of the European Free Trade Association States.

It has 27 FTAs covering 38 countries.

abilockhart · 02/03/2018 22:25

A liar's get-out clause when caught.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 22:27

I guess I'm just pissed off you lot aren't passionate enough to care you're not getting the Brexit you wanted.

I've always had a pragmatic approach to it Bear. I wanted a clean & full break but realised it probably wouldn't pan out like that immediately.

I want it to be a success, therefore I want it to be done properly - if that means it can't happen all at once, then so be it.

surferjet · 02/03/2018 22:28

Good night all - need to grab some sleep 💤

lljkk · 02/03/2018 22:30

A huge amount of time less than 12 months.
EU parliaments need to ratify the agreement, agreement needs to be sorted by end of September to give the parliaments time to do that (and to get the agreement written up in Legalese).
So basically just over 6 months to figure out a "comprehensive" and "wide-ranging" agreement.
Remember everyone in Europe stops working in August.
So we're down to 4-5 months in real time.

Cheers, everyone. We'll need Gin.

TalkinPeace · 02/03/2018 22:33

WHAT do you want?
Please explain
as at the moment all I think you want is unicorn dust

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 22:40

What does that mean though faith?

Surely you can see that every indicator is pointing to Brexit hitting people in the pocket whatever form it takes.

Where do you think the appetite to 'do it properly' is going to come from given people are going to be worse off because of it and the next generation aren't in favour of it anyway?
