Brexit in name only is not leaving.
It’s like being divorced from your husband but still living with him.
What’s the point?

DGRossetti · 26/02/2018 12:23

Brexit in name only is not leaving.

Yes it is.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 12:27

Bear Bino equals no trade deals, not happening,

Do you not listen to the news.

Just wait and see who is proved right, oh big hint it's not you

GhostofFrankGrimes · 26/02/2018 12:28

It’s like being divorced from your husband but still living with him.

The marriage analogy is bollocks. The UK is going to need to trade with its closest neighbours and richest countries. It'll need a relationship.

LondonMum8 · 26/02/2018 12:36

That's too DISMISSIVE, we should be respectful of Brexiters' hopes and dreams. To be fair, at this point if you believe in a successful hard Brexit it will seem feasible that BJ and team can physically relocate the British Isles to a sunlit (*) location between India and China.

(*) Occasional typhoons, tsunamis and other tropical maladies apply

Time will tell mummmy but don’t be so sure.

The reality of the facts (you know, those pesky things you just ignore) points very much towards it being you who is wrong and is going to be very disappointed.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:25

Bear, how and at one point do , no CU no SM and being willing to do Trade deals come out in the wash as what your advocating.

Still not sure you understand the bit about it being the Tory's who are doing the deal, and not Labour, who are not the elected Government..
But by all means don't stop reality getting in way of your fantasy , I mean after 18 months you still haven't managed to grasp just who is wearing the trousers in the UK..

bearbehind · 26/02/2018 13:31

mummmy are you completely incapable of discussion that doesn't involve childish insults and sarcasm?

It doesn't matter who is 'wearing the trousers' in the UK, the fact is, we don't have the upper hand in negiotiations with the EU which is all that matters.

Trade deals outside the EU are no way near as important to us as those with the EU are.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:32

Have you just read the No10 Press release.

Cos it's saying the same as ME.

TalkinPeace · 26/02/2018 13:33

mummmy
What are you going to do when TM's amazing team have to own up that staying in the Single Market and Customs Union are going to be the only way to save the UK economy ?
Which will be very soon .....

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:33

We are leaving, we will be free to trade.

Your just not willing to take in something you don't want to hear.

bearbehind · 26/02/2018 13:35

FFS mummmy, when are you going to understand that, just because you want something to happen, the fact there's no realistic way for it to happen means it's not going to happen!

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:35

TalkinPeace

You seem to also be under the impress we can't leave.

We can and will be going.

Your attitude to no it can't happen, it won't happen, is very short sighted.

It will be hard, but it's not impossible, and that is the problem, you refuse to face,

LondonMum8 · 26/02/2018 13:37

Wakey Wakey @mummy2017. Remember how TM was so sure the people had supported her Brexit strategy she almost lost the elections? Well, she does have to go through the Parliament and face the Remainer Tories, Labour etc. Democracy can be a bitch... I'm sure she wishes she could just disband that pesky Parliament, the cornerstone of our democracy!

bearbehind · 26/02/2018 13:37

mummmy, if you tell us how we'd cope from Brexit day until we'd sorted ourselves out I might actually listen to you, if we reverted to WTO.

As it is you have absolutely no idea.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:38

Bear, your FFS I will raise to FH< how can you be this dense.

It's in all the papers, she is going to pull out, and if we get not deal then so be it.

We are not going to be tied to the EU.
It's been said in every press release for the last 18 months, and still you think it's not going to happen, for Goodness sake, how can you still be so blind to the future.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:39

Of course I have no idea, no one does.
But that doesn't mean it won't happen.
Grow up and face the future. Don't just beg for answers no one had.

bearbehind · 26/02/2018 13:40

'All the papers' isn't just the Daily Mail.

It's you who is blind to the reality here.

Are you even able to cite 1 single proposal for how we'd actually manage if we revert to WTO?

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:40

Ok so the MP's say no, and what do you think will happen..
OMG no time left WTO.

bearbehind · 26/02/2018 13:41

The very fact no one has any idea is exactly why it won't happen.

You might think it's fine to be so cavalier about an entire country's future but those who actually need to pull the trigger won't do it.

mummmy2017 · 26/02/2018 13:41

Bear that's no my job, and well you know it.

Grown up and be and adult, not a sulky child.

This is the future
