May's Speech Abbreviated:

We still have nfi how we are going to do this. EU this is your fault. You sort it out. We are too lazy, workshy and fighting like high school children to work it out ourselves. Be our whipping boy.

I support democracy as long as I get to do whatever I like
I support human rights as long as I can ignore them when I like.
I support the rule of law except when it doesn't suit my agenda.

Waffle waffle.

"Creative", "Dynamic" PR for my Premiership.

Waffle waffle

We really need policing cooperation, PLEASE keep it with us. I know I threatened to withdraw this, but I'm sorry, I was wrong and a bit of a dick about this.

Gets to the point FINALLY.

"2 year transition period"

(With another time bomb lock which is still too short for IT departments. Nothing to do with the next general election, honest).

RULE BRITANNIA!

Polite Applause.

@IanDunt
DExEU refuses FoI request from MP Seema Malhotra to release sectoral assessments into impact of Brexit.

Gumpendorf · 29/09/2017 16:53

Lurking, I have a friend who works on the UC project. When she first began on the project she was concerned about some of the decisions being made. For the last couple of years, her response to me bringing up issues has been ‘it’s the press’ or more recently ‘fake news’.

R North has More on the arrests under the Official Secrets Act:

www.eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=86620

Several people have been arrested under the Official Secrets Act,
for "leaking" information – some to this blog

Another one has been picked up for passing material to the Commission (now deemed an "enemy power").
< so much for remaining "close friends">

Civil Servants are deserting MinBrex in their droves, and others are moving to an alternative power centre in the Cabinet Office.

EverythingWillBeGreat · 29/09/2017 17:40

Sorry but what is the Commission in this case?

Badders08 · 29/09/2017 17:40

"Several people have been arrested under the Official Secrets Act,

"Another one has been picked up for passing material to the Commission (now deemed an "enemy power")"

...Not the recent one who was arrested by counter-terrorism police ???? Shock if so.

LurkingHusband · 29/09/2017 17:50

Several people have been arrested under the Official Secrets Act,

Which sounds serious, until you realise how wide an "official secret" is.

And, as Sir Humphry sagely and correctly observed: "The Official Secrets Act is there to protect officials not secrets"

Badders08 · 29/09/2017 18:25

This made me chuckle
BREAKING: UKIP elect new twat to become leader of group of twats who try to appeal to twats by being twats

Cailleach1 · 29/09/2017 18:46

woman and Violet, the logo posts are so funny.

Cailleach1 · 29/09/2017 18:59

LH: "I look forward to an independent Kurdish homeland, supported fully by the UK - even if then entire rest of the world would rather look the other way."

It is amazing how nobody wants to acknowledge them? Nigh on 30-35 million people. Is it a legacy of Ottoman and British power and straight boundary line drawing not caring what basket case is left for the residents of that area?

They were a force to be reckoned with, on the ground fighting ISIS, too.

woman
Really!!?

Cailleach1 · 29/09/2017 19:36

Anyone hear of the report on Sky saying that the trade figures wasn't because a boon after the pound devalued. It was people moving their money out of the UK. Sending gold abroad.

news.sky.com/video/the-great-british-gold-export-illusion-11057800

Cailleach1 · 29/09/2017 19:37

weren't because of a boon, even

Cailleach1 · 29/09/2017 19:43

Kinda the same one. Just a tiny bit more context.
