Good to have a set date.

No.. vote the way you like but don't try and justify it with tin foil hat theories like the leave crowd.

surferjet · 04/10/2016 07:48

Every thread I start with 'LEAVERS' clearly in the thread title gets invaded by the same few remainers.
This thread is NOT FOR YOU.

Go away.

The bendy bananas thing comes round like clockwork in any vaguely EU-themed piece of 'news'. I can't believe people are still swallowing and regurgitating it seriously.

Well on this thread it would appear that it's the 'non morons' that are gleefully regurgitating and debating this piece of 'news'.

Every single EU thread has 'non morons' making up things that 'morons' apparently believe, which then provides a crumb for the rest of the 'non morons' on the thread to leap on ravenously and attempt to magic it into a loaf to feast on.

In the absence of the 'morons' the 'non moron' pack need to create their own outrage at thing people haven't said.

And so another circular thread of gob- smacking arrogance and name-calling continues.

Peregrina · 04/10/2016 08:06

Bananagio - you sum it up exactly. Most people neither know nor care. When it all goes tits up, they will be whinging and whinging every bit as much as they are now. The won't have the EU to blame then.

Me2017 · 04/10/2016 08:13

I don't think people are allowed to control who comes on their threads. I am a remainer. I think it is important for the country that leavers and remainers remain civil and talk to each other - the nation was divided almost exactly in half on this issue and we now have to come together and make it work.

I don't think leaving will be good for Britain but we will manage.

The task now is legislation which says all EU law continues to apply where it is already UK law in thousands of sectors until repealed so at least we do not have a massive legislative hole. Then we can decide which bits of EU law we would like to remove whether that is equality legislation, disability rights protection, privacy rights or whatever the brexiters wish to rid us of.

smallfox2002 · 04/10/2016 08:14

"This thread is NOT FOR YOU.

Go away."

Public forum, democracy, but then you only like democracy when it suits you.

"Every single EU thread has 'non morons' making up things that 'morons' apparently believe"

The bendy bananas thing was mentioned in the debate by the leave side, we don't jhave to make it up. We can just go and point out the big slogan you had on the side of your bus, that people believed.

We really don't need to when posters here repeatedly refer to the EU army and conscription.

Dribble away.

Peregrina · 04/10/2016 08:14

Boris Johnson was the originator of the straight bananas etc. stories. One of his stupid little jokes. Fine for when he was a schoolboy at Eton. Stupid behaviour for an adult. A stupid behaving person to put in post as Foreign Secretary.

MangoMoon · 04/10/2016 08:22

I will take a break from being a 'dribbling moron' (smallfox, you are such a peach!) to say I know where the banana thing originally came from - but on this thread a 'non moron' brought it up and the rest of the 'non moron' pack leapt on it as if it had been brought up by one of the 'morons' again.

But yes, carry on - name call and denigrate as is your hallmark style.

"but on this thread a 'non moron' brought it up and the rest of the 'non moron' pack leapt on it as if it had been brought up by one of the 'morons' again."

It was used as an example, what else can we show as an example?

EU army?
£350 million?
Immigrant benefit scroungers?
Straight cucumbers?
A free trade deal with the EU where we get to have our cake and eat it?
Being forced into ever closer union?
Federal Europe?
Undemocratic EU?

Which other fairy story shall we talk about? Take your pick. #

smallfox2002 · 04/10/2016 08:28

"hahahaha. Oh the irony."

Truly, read up on the Henry VIII clauses May is going to use to bypass parliament with her Great Repeal bill.

Democratic? I think not.

You don't understand what irony is.

Smallfox. I only ever see you on threads where you can attack leave voters.
Do you post on any other referendum thread? you know, where remainers congregate & just chat?

I'm beginning to think you love threads started by leavers.
Hmm

OP posts:
PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/10/2016 08:34

Just right now I fucking hate leave voters, every short-sighted, ignorant oblivious one of them

What a ridiculous, ignorant statement. You know all the millions that voted leave.?Wow

I voted remain, but I really dislike this superior attitude that some Remain voters have.

MangoMoon · 04/10/2016 08:35

*Ha mango, my style? After all the abuse you and your fellow leavers handed out to me?

Wipe your chin dear.*

Shock

Your arrogance and superiority know no bounds!
What a nasty stock of phrases you have.

Also, I cannot recall ever handing out abuse - not to you, and certainly not on this thread.

Corcory · 04/10/2016 08:47

I can't recall being rude to smallfox first either! but that is apparently what I did Mango!

MangoMoon · 04/10/2016 08:54

It's because we don't know our own minds Corcory!

Apparently...

Corcory · 04/10/2016 08:59

That must be it Mango.

smallfox2002 · 04/10/2016 09:08

Cocory weren't you the one talking about conscription? Knowing your own mind indeed?

TheElementsSong · 04/10/2016 09:09

Just wanted to say that I'm most definitely a Remainer but did not agree with Parasite's now deleted post. I think what is happening is a shit sandwich with a side order of turd on a stick and I'm bloody furious about it all, but directing hate at half the electorate really doesn't help anyone.

(Mind you, it seems to me that gloating merrily for the other half of the electorate to shut up, get over it or frankly to just vapourise isn't exactly cricket either).

smallfox2002 · 04/10/2016 09:12

My attitude is in response to the gloating and quite frankly astoundingly ignorant posts about "democracy", along with some of the outlandish things being quoted as reasons for leaving.

smallfox2002 · 04/10/2016 09:14

Oh and the fact that you leave voters have placed at risk the economic well being of everyone in the country and yet are so ignorant that you say its worth it.

Bearbehind · 04/10/2016 09:32

I think I was the 'non moron' who mentioned the shape of fruit and veg in this thread, not bananas specifically, but I said that this would but used to give Leave voters a sense of victory.

Bendy Bananas were used by the Leave campaign so claiming victory that we've sorted that one will most certainly be whipped up by the press as a Leave success- the truth rarely gets in the way of a good story.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 04/10/2016 09:35

along with some of the outlandish things being quoted as reasons for leaving

I heard some outlandish things as reasons for people voting remain.

To have a go at people because they voted differently to you is childish.
