"The Mail on Sunday commissioned a survey about Bregretters. It found that 7.1% of people regretted voting leave. But more bizarrely 4.4% were saying they regretted voting remain! I ran the numbers on it. That would have put Leave on 50.38%"

The problem is that no poll is invulnerable to trolls/lies/voting to sway the figures (and I mean that for both figures above). We wouldn't actually know how a re-run would go until it happened, but it's not going to happen so it's all guesswork anyway.

I signed "that" petition thinking it might get Parliament talking, not that it would get an actual second referendum going.

Completely agree with Plato's comment above. Maybe the win (?) from this can be that we no longer think the far right has no place in the modern UK. Clearly they do.

Something needs to change.

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:42

As the first speaker said, though, they have every right to be there. I think it was a dig, when he asked why they were there. He keeps coming back to "when are they going to tell us what's going on, they need to hurry up." and No negotiations without notification. I think it's pretty clear that he wants us to move and move now.

InShockReally · 28/06/2016 09:42

And by "place in the modern UK" I don't mean they deserve one, I mean they've got it, and we should be more active against them!

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:44

Sorry, but that speech was a huge waste of time. Rambling.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:45

The far left do too...

Brexit is an alliance between the far left and the far right in many respects.

i don't think this is going to play well throughout the UK. It's going to be a huge "shame on you UK", isn't it?

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:46

German Centre-right rep, talking in English.

Sticking up for a tolerant europe

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:47

oh shit. He's attacking UKIP. Yeah, thanks, way to rile them up.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:47

Mr Farage being asked to apologise for the £350million pound lie to the British public.

Lots of cheering.

The time of appeasement is over, we need to stand up and fight for the European Union.

OP posts:
RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:49

Now talking in German, asking to stop Brussels bashing and to stand up and take responsibility.

Talking about the horrible face of nationalism.

saying we have no leadership.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:49

Cameron has made his career off the back of the EU, Brussels bashing.

ooops. Gloves are off.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:49

Farage is getting PASTED.

Chalalala · 28/06/2016 09:50

I'm liking this German guy! He's saying it like it is, and standing up for Europe.

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:51

That is the result of you leaving the EU - you're damaging yourself.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:51

Polish and Lithuanian trades people can not be 2nd class citizens. They can not be refused access. Cherry picking is over.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:53

Nationalism works against Europe.

I am Bavarian, but German and European.

I will not be convinced by anyone else that, that is incompatible.

(hello Scotland... )

OP posts:
Chalalala · 28/06/2016 09:55

You can always count on the Germans to stand up against nationalism. They know the score.

That was a very good speech, if not entirely encouraging for Britain - "cherry picking is over", indeed.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:55

Italian socialist up now.

Expressing sympathy to remainers and youth. we are with you.

I like these guys...

As a brit am I allowed to say that?

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:57

I understand what they're saying, but am concerned about how it's going to go over with some in the UK. We'll see, I suppose.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:57

He is talking about the lies and they have left a battle field of ruins, and have destroyed the country and now they want to destroy the EU.

We can not be the hostage to internal party politics in the Uk.

We must have a common front against such developments.

(Get a move on UK)

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:58

We cannot become the hostage to the internal politics of the UK. They are trying to destroy the EU.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 09:58

The result of the referendum is not just the result of Cameron Russian roulette. it is also a failing of globalisation and the spread of inequality.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 09:59

Cameron's russian roulette. Ouch. Slam. (but not incorrect)
