Few threads started by those happy about this. I have decided to no further rain on their parade - they are entitled to their opinions . BUT anyone who feels otherwise ...welcome

Words cannot express how upset and disgusted I am with half of the British population. Had a little cry this morning.

incywinci · 24/06/2016 10:10

I am seriously gutted. I think its the first time I'm seriously thinking about getting a dual-citizenship ...

I had a nasty feeling this might happen - but really disappointed.

YorkshireFatRascal · 24/06/2016 10:21

As the morning has gone on I have felt increasing depressed about the outcome. I knew Brexit was a possibility but I never really believed it would happen. I am over 50 and feel that I should apologise to the younger generation for not doing enough to stop this happening. I am going for a long walk now to reduce the risk of seeing the smug faces of Farage et al on the news.

CreamCrackerundertheSettee · 24/06/2016 10:24

I'm so disappointed.

The twats won. Elitist, xenophobic wankers peddling lies. What a fucking mess.

I think I might be even more upset if I lived in NI or Scotland. I would certainly be campaigning for an independence referendum, although I fear what that would mean for NI.

JennyOnAPlate · 24/06/2016 10:35

I also only know a couple of leave voters and yes they are unintelligent. They seem to think that all of the immigrants currently living in our country will be shipped out, and that the NHS will be saved. Because of course we all know that farage and Johnson want to save the NHS HmmHmmHmmAngry

OutsiderInTheGarden · 24/06/2016 10:42

Sadly my DF voted out, and I'm pretty certain my mum will have done the same because these days she doesn't seem capable of thinking for herself. My dad appears the polar opposite of what you might imagine a Brexit supporter to be; life-long Labour voter, highly educated, liberal, works in the arts & education, and we have a multi-cultural and multi-faith family. It has left me feeling very disappointed in him. Bizarrely, he doesn't think Brexit will actually change much anyway, so why vote out?? Confused I've always looked up to him and greatly respected his opinion, so now I feel gutted.

JustABigBearAlan · 24/06/2016 10:45

Absolutely gutted by the result. Still can't believe it Sad

blimey I have also been wondering about getting an Irish passport.

YouSay · 24/06/2016 10:46

I am not in the Uk but I cannot believe the leave won. They have destroyed your economy. Not one wealth creator among them. On one of the 'delighted we are leaving' threads one of the posters thought house prices will rise if (when) a recession hits due to less supply. That is the level of intelligence and economic understanding you are dealing with. Big sympathy to you all.

jammyraspberry · 24/06/2016 10:50

Just numb and can't explain it to my teenage dcs. 12 year old described as a line of dominos being knocked over. Thought that was quite a good way of putting the mess we are now in

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 24/06/2016 10:52

52% of the population are racist at worst, stupid at best. This is a dark day for Britain - and it's going to get darker. Venting here, on facebook and on twitter is quite therapeutic, but this is terrifying.

Glad this post is here, feeling very very sad about it. I can't believe how short-sighted the majority has been, it feels like the beginning of something awful

JustABigBearAlan · 24/06/2016 10:55

jammy I like your 12 year old's analogy. I think it's probably very true.

It's a shame 52% of the population didn't have as much common sense and understanding as your dc.

BumbleNova · 24/06/2016 10:56

Can I join? god I'm so sad. a career I have worked so hard for and made so many sacrifices for is now effectively over. I'm just devasted. and angry that older voters turned the tide and will not feel the consequences. just horrendous.

WingMirrorSpider · 24/06/2016 10:58

I'm devastated.

It was utterly wrong to put such a complex issue to a referendum when the majority of people are clearly as thick as mince.

Are there any 'Not in my name' style demonstrations being planned anywhere? I feel I need to shout it from the rooftops that I'm proud to be part of the 48%

Whooptydoo1 · 24/06/2016 10:58

I'm devastated,I respect your right to vote leave if you wish, but how can ppl stand by that decision now?! Our country is in economic free fall and the horsemen of the apocalypse on their way, how can you be so fucking smug about it?!

Notbigandnotclever · 24/06/2016 11:00

It's brought forward my emigration plans by 2-3 years. I'd like to not come back from my vacation.

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 11:01

God sat here in tears as I hear UKIP mp talk about how their new recruitment pools look like labour as well as the torys. Is this really what old school labour supporters
Wanted? Torys I expected but labour voters feel like a stab in the back

52% of the population are racist at worst, stupid at best.

That pretty much sums it up.

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:03

I'm so fucking angry. Fucking pointless shit. The UK is going to bomb.

ladydepp · 24/06/2016 11:05

Financial Times reports "Regions with the biggest votes for Leave are also the most economically dependent on the EU"

Idiots.
