Few threads started by those happy about this. I have decided to no further rain on their parade - they are entitled to their opinions . BUT anyone who feels otherwise ...welcome

Are they sitting there now, thinking, 'ah yes, drastic falls in the value of the pound and the FTSE tumbling - that's the sort of response I'd expect to accompany a decision that's really good for the country'?

I despair. Idiots.

bialystockandbloom · 24/06/2016 11:07

With you all on this Sad

This is the worst thing that has ever happened in this country. I'm ashamed to be British. Can't see any positive way forward. Our economy, the environment, our ability to build wealth, trade, protection for those on welfare, the health service, the arts, investment in science & technology, low paid workers, maternity protection, research funding - all of it thrown away for the bigoted ignorant beliefs of xenophobic bastards. Our whole cultural identity is turned into some kind of parody.

bialystockandbloom · 24/06/2016 11:09

wingmirrorspider I totally agree with you. This decision should never have been given over to the populace.

I'd also like some sort of public 'not in my name' campaign.

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:09

Jesus. Thinking about Trump's reaction....

KraggleLego · 24/06/2016 11:10

I feel sick watching everyone celebrate on facebook, My husband is from Holland. We now have to find a few thousand pounds to secure citizenship for him so my children don't have to grow up without a dad.
I think in the coming months and years once the euphoria has died down people are going to wonder what the fuck they have just done. The pound is already in the toilet, it's a good thing those scare tactics didn't work eh.

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 11:12

Yes Trumps reaction says it all. Bastards.

I love many things about England but I feel ashamed to be English today Sad

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:15

There was a quote in the Guardian by a senior labour MP saying that Boris has sacrificed a million jobs to get one. Fucking fucker

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:19

I fucking hate Michael Gove.

What the fuck have you stupid fuckers done?

Kidnapped · 24/06/2016 11:19

And Farage poncing about with his bodyguards paid for by the EU.

Jo Cox doing her job with no fucking protection.

I can feel my blood boiling.

Holliewantstobehot · 24/06/2016 11:20

I am devastated. Utterly devastated. Am trying to downplay it as my 10 year old dd was in tears this morning. Could we annex half the country and we can stay in and the leavers can live in the other half?

RortyCrankle · 24/06/2016 11:20

I reported your post kidnapped so should be deleted soon.

Happy Independence Day Grin

squoosh · 24/06/2016 11:21

Why would you report that you odd person? Looks like a perfectly sensible post to me.

dontevenblink · 24/06/2016 11:21

There's some awful journalism going on where I am, some idiot on a prominent show saying how the whole of Britain chose to leave and that's why Cameron resigned. I've just been pointing out on his Facebook site that almost half the population chose not to but have been jumped on by the extreme leave brigade. I've been told that loads of countries have left the EU and been fine, when I asked which ones as this was the first time it has happened I got told Switzerland! When I pointed out that this wasn't the case I've been called the "fear brigade" and to stop inflicting them hahaha. Not even sure how to respond to that one! The next comment was that "Britains grown some balls and got its sovernity back" (yes spelled like that). So if these are examples of who voted leave then I am truly embarrassed to be British today

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 24/06/2016 11:22

Why on earth would you report that? Farage has bodyguards (probably wise, after his comment that 'no shots were fired'); Jo Cox did not.

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:23

There is nothing wrong with that post Rorty. It's absolutely factually true

MrsJorahMormont · 24/06/2016 11:23

I'm disgusted. I'm also really worried for extended family who live in NI. They are petrified that this will destroy the Good Friday Agreement - something to do with having to re-impose a border there. They also rely heavily on EU funding there as the legacy of the violence has left them very public sector heavy. This could actually reignite all the old violence there. It's so horrible Sad

So many ignorant people have punched themselves in the faces when they thought they were making a 'protest vote'. And I'm angry at the older leave voters who voted leave out of knee jerk racism but will not be here long enough to face the consequences of their actions.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 24/06/2016 11:23

And I do not mean for a moment that anyone should have to fear shots fired, ever, but I'm sure that it's something particularly to the forefront of many politicians' minds after the tragic events of last week.

MyDarlingWhatIfYouFly · 24/06/2016 11:25

I'm Welsh and I'm disgusted by the ignorant Welsh voters who voted leave when EU funding is possibly our only hope of creating jobs and regenerating the poorest areas.

Turkeys voting for Christmas.

I'm moving to Scotland.

RortyCrankle · 24/06/2016 11:25

Ah squoosh so you would be happy to be called 'thick as pigshit' would you? I don't think I'm the odd one.

Anyway I'll leave this thread to the gnashings of Remainers.

todayitstarts · 24/06/2016 11:26

Come MyDarling. You will be welcome

ladydepp · 24/06/2016 11:27

A friend's 84 year old father with borderline dementia voted Leave, when asked why he just shrugged. Sad

Kidnapped · 24/06/2016 11:28

It was the initial comment that Rorty reported.

She failed to notice the other references to it and report them too.

And then she repeated the deleted comment.

Not the brightest. Oddly.

squoosh · 24/06/2016 11:28

Bye-bye Rorty.
