At Home Insemination - Buddies?

For several reasons hubby and I are going down the route of at home insemination. It can be quite a lonely process I think - does anyone want to join me and we can go through it together/share tips etc?

Bit of background - we've tried for 2 months now both unsuccessful. I'm using clearblue ovulation detector to get my peak, and we've been doing the insemination every day from when I get my flashing smiley to the day after the peak, give or take the odd day! Using 10ml syringes and laying down afterwards for 20-30 mins.

Finding the 2ww a real struggle, and my heart breaks every time AF comes! I know it's only been 2 cycles and could take a lot longer so need to be patient! Altho feel like everyone around me is having babies which doesn't help!

Anyway sorry for going on - anyone want to join and share their experiences/tips? Need some motivation and hope!

@chunkybutfunky87 I hope you find out either way soon! Even if AF comes then at least you will know where you stand.

Will you try again this month if it hasn't worked?

@H8624 not via insemination, back to 'au naturel' and viagra in the hope it can help get the desired effect.

Still no AF, literally going insane by the hour

@chunkybutfunky87 I can imagine! Any sign now? If it doesn't show when will you next test do you think?

@H8624 was going to leave it today but I caved about an hour ago and used another cheapie - still negative! Which makes me think it's just a cruel fluke. If I've not come on by tomorrow going to order a FRER and go from there. Keep thinking don't bother wasting the money as I'll probably come on the second after I press purchase lol

@H8624 looks like I'm out. Jinxed myself, caved in and ordered 20 quids worth of tests about 4pm. Just been toilet and faintest hint when wiped. Here she bloody comes

So since that just gone 5pm yesterday, I've had nothing more since.

This is crazy, never had anything like this, I'm now 17-19 DPO I believe

@chunkybutfunky87 if it was only once it could have been implantation bleeding. If so wait a couple of days then try another test?

I hope you find out either way soon! The wait is so hard isn't it. When it's past your AF date as well it's hard not to get your hopes up!

Thanks @Waiting2BAMummy I hadn't really thought of it from this perspective but if it was implantation that would explain why negative tests, obviously HCG only produced after this point.

I'm just sitting patiently for now, the tests I ordered are still due on Thursday, so if I'm still not on by then and I can test first thing hopefully I'll get some answers

@waitingtobamummy I literally feel no different! If I hadn't had a BFP and no AF I wouldn't think I was pregnant - even doubt I am some days 😂. Did another test on Monday to make sure 🙄. I am only 5 weeks though so expect symptoms will start soon. I'm also one of those people that never has any cramps/pains around AF - literally bleeding and that's it so maybe I'll be lucky!

How are you getting on this month? Are you getting close to ovulation time?

@H8624 nope nothing! I'm the crazy lady now it's official lol

If it makes you feel better I remember with my little girl I had no symptoms until 7 weeks, then boom hyperemesis hit and the sickness continued right through to 19 weeks lol i remember wishing for symptoms at the start and I certainly got them lol

@Burpalot if you read back, I had just ordered my first kit off eBay to try, but I was due to ovulate that week and got a bit impatient waiting . . I'm not ashamed to admit I sterilised a Calpol syringe and used a plastic disposable cup left over from a party! Bingo! I am now pregnant lol

No pre seed or anything

@H8624 lol i remember that! I'm pleased that I'd been trying to be heather lately, lost 10lb this month just not eating crap, so I'm going to continue and hopefully be a better weight by booking in.

Time to really sort myself out and have a good pregnancy x
