So it appears I posted the 1,000 message on our previous thread and now it's closed so I've opened us a new home!

Bless you @TimeIhadaNameChange, thank you. I’ll have a look.

How are things with you? Enjoying motherhood?

Waiting2BAMummy · 18/02/2021 10:53

Exactly @Busybee143 I’m also hoping it has more chance of working if I’m relaxed during the process.

Busybee143 · 18/02/2021 20:14

@Waiting2BAMummy I'm sure it will, good luck with it all. Out of interest what would you look for in a donor?

Waiting2BAMummy · 18/02/2021 20:21

The main things are same eye and hair colour as me @Busybee143. I’m hoping I won’t need to use donor eggs but I will do it if it’s the only way I’m going to be able to have a baby.

OP posts:
Busybee143 · 19/02/2021 14:16

I'm sure whatever way you get a baby they will be blessed to have you as their mother 😁

Waiting2BAMummy · 19/02/2021 14:32

Aww, thank you @Busybee143 that’s a lovely thing to say x

I'm grand, thanks. The wee one is doing really well. 1 in 11 days, would you believe? Lockdown has made for an interesting year, but I'm not complaining.

I keep my fingers firmly crossed for you. I really hope this is your year. x

Waiting2BAMummy · 19/02/2021 22:26

OMG how is she one?? I still remember you posting your first positive pregnancy tests not quite sure whether to believe it or not.
Thank you, I really hope so @TimeIhadaNameChange

Hi ladies, I hope you are all ok. Had a rough week last week, in and out of the doctors for blood tests after the chemical pregnancy. They had concerns it was ectopic as my HCG levels weren’t going down as fast as they would expect. Latest was 15 so all good news now. I got a flashing smiley on OPK yesterday which I’m surprised about, I thought there would be a delay, still flashing today so inseminating tonight!
We have decided to do no testing at the end of the 2WW and just see what happens this time. It was heartbreaking having the positive and then experiencing bleeding almost immediately. I’d rather think it’s a late period than another miscarriage.
I’ve tried temping but it seems so erratic! I’m doing it at the same time each day, after a long stretch of sleep. Im a mouth breather, could that affect it?

Hi @KLO0224 sounds like you’ve had a really difficult time of it but I’m glad things are starting to settle down now.

I know you’ve had a flashing smiley but just be prepared you may ovulate later than usual this month. I know I did the month after my chemical and I’ve read many posts from others who did too. Of course, you might not but if you know it’s a possibility it’s one less thing to worry about.

Yes, I’ve read mouth breathing can definitely affect your temperatures.

I’ve started taking 75mg aspirin a day as I’ve read this can help with implantation in women who have clotting issues. I don’t know that I do, of course, but after my chemical last March I’ve read posts from women who had several miscarriages/chemical pregnancies and went on to have their rainbow babies after taking aspirin. I don’t know it will definitely help me but from what I’ve read it doesn’t seem to do much harm so I figured I don’t have much to lose.

You’re supposed to be more fertile the 3 months after a loss so fingers crossed you’ll conceive your rainbow soon. 🌈

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 23/02/2021 13:41

I have also read that taking aspirin can help and like you said it can’t do any harm either so why not try it.
Still flashing so another donation tonight, if it’s still flashing tomorrow will just go to every other day until hopefully get the static, I fully expect to ovulate late after this month. I didn’t stop bleeding until the 15th so not sure what’s going on. Would you still inseminate @Waiting2BAMummy?? Or just wait for the peak?

Waiting2BAMummy · 23/02/2021 13:49

I would still do it @KLO0224 they say it's better to have the swimmers up there waiting, especially if you ovulate soon after your peak. Waiting for your peak can be too late.

OP posts:
Waiting2BAMummy · 23/02/2021 13:51

In fact @KLO0224 I just remembered one of the ladies that used to be on this thread had been unsuccessful when she had been inseminating after her peak.

The month she conceived she inseminated late one night because her peak was later than usual and she was worried she had missed it. She conceived that month.

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 23/02/2021 17:40

We will just go with the flow this month I think! Just see what happens with ovulation. I’ve had the usual aches and pains I would normally associate with ovulation but no change in CM. I’ve also been doing cheap tests and not had a line in them yet.

Waiting2BAMummy · 23/02/2021 18:03

I haven't even bothered testing or using my OvuSense this month @KLO0224 as my donor had said he didn't think he would be able to meet this month.

Cue an email from him in the early hours of this morning saying he can do this month after all!

I've asked if he can meet tomorrow and Thursday but in honesty I'm not taking this month too seriously as I haven't been tracking ovulation, my diet has been shocking and I'm due to start a new job soon.

OP posts:
Waiting2BAMummy · 23/02/2021 18:04

Also Tesco have stopped selling my Soy Isoflavones so haven't taken any this month. They are so much more expensive everywhere else and it will be interesting to see what my cycle does without them.

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 23/02/2021 18:28

Maybe this will be your month with not stressing about anything!? You never know!
Me and my partner were discussing things earlier today and we are confident it will work for us eventually. Sperm has met egg twice out of the 6 months of actively trying! I feel that implantation is the problem for me. So tomorrow I will get some aspirin see if that helps! Do I just take it everyday? I looked into the soy things but it seemed too complicated for me lol, I forget to take vitamins so I would almost definitely forget what day to take them 😂 I have annual leave now until the 8th March so I plan on just chilling out and hopefully I ovulate on time so these early inseminations aren’t going to waste!
What’s your new job going to be. Have I asked where you live before? I just wondered if we were anywhere local to each other.

Waiting2BAMummy · 23/02/2021 18:57

Some people only take it from ovulation @KLO0224 and others take it all the time. I'm taking it all the time as I've heard it can help with womb lining thickness too and since the soy can cause a thinning of the lining I though one might balance out the other. Who knows if that's true but it won't hurt either way.

Also, if you're likely to forget you're probably better to take it every day as it will become something you're just used to taking rather than having to remember just after ovulation. I have mine right next to the kettle so they're staring me in the face and I won't forget.

Hopefully your annual leave will help you relax and as you say you've managed to conceive 2 out of 6 months so now you just have to get your body to hang on. Definitely try the aspirin you have to get the 75mg ones as a normal 300mg tablet is too much. They sell them in Tesco with the normal painkillers, that's where I get mine.

I've sent you a PM! :)

I’m going to Asda today as I need to return some clothes... a non ttc victory, I ordered a super dry jumper in a 16 and it’s way too big! They are usually small sizing I find! I’ve lost nearly 3 stone since the first miscarriage in September. I’m hoping this will help me conceive too! I will pick some aspirin up from there 🙂 also could do with some more ovulation tests.
There are so many things I have read that at this point I’m willing to try... like eating pineapple core and keeping your feet extra warm during ovulation? I don’t know the science behind it but what the heck!

bitheby · 26/02/2021 14:07

Anyone taken coenzyme Q10 and has it changed your cycle length?

App predicts ovulation for Monday and so I'm planning to travel on Sunday but OPKs seem a bit darker than I'd expect. That's all I've changed this cycle.

Having a bit of a wobble and wondering whether to go down tomorrow instead. Haven't booked anywhere to stay or anything yet.

According to Premom app it's still 'low'. I'm only CD10 today.

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/02/2021 15:46

I take it @bitheby, have done, since a couple of months after my chemical pregnancy so almost a year now. I started taking 200mg a day and it didn't do anything to my cycle but then I ready posts from women who were taking 600mg a day so I increased my dose to 400mg. The two months after I had 40+ day cycles so I have reduced it back down to 200mg. I've also read posts from other women who also had issues but they were like me and had longer cycles, not shorter.

Did you get your aspirin @KLO0224? congrats on the weight loss too, that can only help. Have you had your peak opk yet?

OP posts:
KLO0224 · 26/02/2021 15:54

Yep got some aspirin from Asda, you have just reminded me to take it today 😂! Thank you @Waiting2BAMummy
Nope no peak, nothing on the cheap tests until this afternoon a really faint line. We inseminated last night, going to skip tonight and do tomorrow.

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/02/2021 16:02

glad to be of service @KLO0224! Hope you get your peak soon.

Made it to the big smoke and had my first donation earlier this evening. My OPK at 10pm was a nice strong line. Premom reckons .91 so as near as dammit a positive so hopefully the timing is perfect.

I'm in a hotel so can have another donation in the morning.

Have you seen the thread in AIBU about banning sperm donation? Probably best not to look if you haven't seen it. I waded in earlier.

I really hope this is it. As much as it's lovely to travel, I'm really over all this wanton lawbreaking and moral depravity.
