So it appears I posted the 1,000 message on our previous thread and now it's closed so I've opened us a new home!

Just got my static smiley face and donor is due tonight #DoingTheHappyDance

TimeIhadaNameChange · 16/08/2019 16:23

That's brilliant, @Waiting2BAMummy. Fingers crossed for you!

Waiting2BAMummy · 16/08/2019 20:01

Thank you, @TimeIhadaNameChange. Donation done, he is coming over again tomorrow.

This is the first time I've actually 'tried' on the day of my positive opk, just hope it works.

So keys tomorrow, hey, @Waiting2BAMummy? How exciting!

How are you feeling? When's AF due - next weekend as well?????

Waiting2BAMummy · 23/08/2019 15:25

Yes, @TimeIhadaNameChange I get my keys tomorrow so spending the bank holiday weekend cleaning! All my stuff is being moved next Thursday.

Yes, AF is due next weekend. I don't feel any different, have developed a cold sore and did have a slight sore throat yesterday though. That said my boss has a stinking cold so it could just be that.

How are you feeling? Only just over a week now until your scan! I can't believe how fast that's gone.

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 29/08/2019 16:31

Hi ladies, hope you are all well?

Hope everything is going ok with the move @Waiting2BAMummy how far into the 2WW are you??

@TimeIhadaNameChange hope your pregnancy is progressing along well 😊 not long now til your first scan! How exciting!

Not much to report here! Had a lovely break away which was very much needed! My body continues to play tricks on me though 😔 this is the 2nd month I've not been able to confirm ovulation through OPK. Temps suggest I ovulated last Friday, which puts me on track for standard cycle, just don't know whether or not to try next month?!

Waiting2BAMummy · 30/08/2019 00:55

Glad you had a lovely holiday @LanieM87. Would you use frozen again or look for another local donor?

I'm almost at the end of my 2ww due AF this weekend. The cramps started yesterday so really think I am out for this month - no pregnancy symptoms at all.

As for the move I picked up my keys last Saturday and have gradually been doing bits since then but the removals people moved all my big stuff today (well yesterday now!). I started my day at 6 am and it's now 1am on Friday and I just got into bed!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 30/08/2019 09:47

Hiya!

@LanieM87 - glad you had a good break. I could so do with one. Was hoping I would be getting one next week, not away, but away from stress and work, but I've been given an extension so no chance.

Which OPK are you using? Might it be an idea to try a different brand?

@Waiting2BAMummy - glad to hear the move is going well. Hope you had no need to be up early this morning. Really hope the cramps are P related and not AF. Fingers crossed for you.

I've been feeling worse this week which is annoying since I'm in the second trimester when everything is 'supposed' to get better. Took the last two days off work and just slept. Dragged myself in today but am eyeing up my beanbag longingly! DP did wonder if it's twins for this reason - we'll find out on Monday I suppose.

Waiting2BAMummy · 30/08/2019 15:58

Sorry your feeling so poorly @TimeIhadaNameChange I'm sure it will all be worth it when you see your 'mini me's' face on that screen on Monday. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I honestly think it's AF cramps have absolutely no P symptoms at all. Will test on Monday if AF doesn't arrive but don't think there will be a need.

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 30/08/2019 19:25

I'm still not sure, my last donor has put me off really @Waiting2BAMummy , I think I will look into it again and see if I connect with someone!

Good luck with the move, I'm sure it will all be worth it once you are settled! I'll keep everything crossed that AF doesn't show, I reckon we talk ourselves into symptoms. So you never know! You've definitely done all you could this month, so hopefully your donor will stick with you!

I bought a new set of clear blue and onestep, I also tried wandfo last month @TimeIhadaNameChange looking back on my data this month my first day of testing was the day the app said I've ovulated confirmed by temps. So I think I missed my surge with being away. But at least it puts my cycle back on track.
Ooo how exciting if it is twins?! Hope you start to feel a bit better soon, one of my friends is pregnant and she struggled with tiredness right into her 2nd trimester!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 31/08/2019 11:29

They're not all like him @LanieM87 I know I'm very lucky but my donor is awesome. I do understand your apprehension though.

Maybe you need to start testing earlier in your cycle? My peak was late again this month but earlier than I believe I ovulated last month.

OP posts:
Waiting2BAMummy · 31/08/2019 12:33

So, AF has arrived....

OP posts:
TimeIhadaNameChange · 31/08/2019 13:36

I am so sorry to hear that, @Waiting2BAMummy! (Sorry, feel I should say something more but don't know what Sad.

@LanieM87 - how you manage to find a donor as lovely as Waiting's. It's strange to think the guy whose child I'm carrying could be an absolute arsehole and I wouldn't know!

I slipped in a broken stair this morning and landed with a thump on my bum. I rang the midwives who reckoned I should be OK but it's still a worry. Am definitely not venturing that far down then garden again in a hurry!

LanieM87 · 01/09/2019 11:14

Aw no sorry to hear that @Waiting2BAMummy just keep doing what your doing and you will end up pregnant! You've given yourself the best chance this month. It's a matter of time!

Ah I know I can't think that all donors are like that guy, I guess it just made me think more of the implications of having a "fresh" donor over the security of frozen.

I do usually start testing early, I think i was just thrown off because I was away. PMS has been kicking my arse this month, I haven't felt as crap as this in such a long time 😔

Bloody hell @TimeIhadaNameChange glad your fall wasn't anymore serious! Look after yourself!

Waiting2BAMummy · 01/09/2019 22:57

Thanks @TimeIhadaNameChange and @LanieM87 I’ve spent the weekend cleaning and feeling sorry for myself but now I need to take a dose of man up and start focusing on this month.

Bless you @TimeIhadaNameChange I’d be freaking out too but better your bum than bump. Hope you’ve managed to calm down a little now. Good luck for tomorrow hope everything goes well with your scan - your first of many ‘mini-me’ photos!

Any decent donor won’t give you any reason to worry @LanieM87, fresh, or frozen. Your previous donor was an idiot, we’ve established that, but that doesn’t mean that they’re aren’t decent guys out there willing to help you for truly altruistic reasons. Which ever route you decide to take I’m sending you all the luck in the world for this cycle.

OP posts:
TimeIhadaNameChange · 02/09/2019 21:22

Well that was fun! 50 mins trying to persuade the little one to behave to little avail. I mean we could see him (her) fine, but he wouldn't get into the right position to be measured. So I have to return in a fortnight. He's very active, kicking and headbutting, and has a VERY flexible spine! It's really weird to think there's all that going on inside me and I can't feel a thing!

TTC with a donor
LanieM87 · 03/09/2019 08:18

Oh wow @TimeIhadaNameChange what a lovely picture you have though! Great that baby is moving lots and hopefully is growing perfectly well! So exciting! Did going to the scan make it a bit more real?

After having the most insane PMS symptoms over the past 2 weeks, AF arrived 4 days early, making this my shortest cycle (26 days) I've ever had, last month it was 39 days! Got no bloody clue what's going on or what I should do this month! 😔

Waiting2BAMummy · 03/09/2019 11:41

Oh wow @TimeIhadaNameChange no denying you’re pregnant now. What a beautiful picture, huge congratulations to you. Glad he (she) is so active all sounding really positive. So happy for you.

Bless you @LanieM87 that’s partly why it’s so much easier to have a ‘fresh’ donor you don’t need to know when things are going to happen in quite the same way you do with ‘frozen’. Why is it that our bodies decide to play up just when we need them to behave?!

OP posts:
TimeIhadaNameChange · 03/09/2019 17:25

Thanks, you two!

@LanieM87 - it definitely made it real. I realised that part of my reason for not wanting to tell people was that I didn't really believe it was true. I was more than half convinced that when they did the scan they wouldn't be able to find anything, and tell me it was a big mistake. In fact, when they first put the probe on me and you couldn't see anything I felt justified! (Then she moved it and there the wee one was!!!!!)

I don't know how many times I've said to DP something along the lines of 'I'm really, really pregnant!' or 'There really is a baby in my tummy' in the last 24 hours. I finally told him that the scan had made it real, and he just raised an eyebrow and questioned how the facts that my periods have stopped, I've been sick and my boobs have grown hadn't convinced me. I don't know why but they just didn't. But I do believe now!

Thanks, @Waiting2BAMummy - I appreciate it! I've been going around with a huge grin on my face!

@LanieM87 - I'm sure my cycles were more regular until I started ttc. Then again (and I may have mentioned this before) I remember when I was a teen it seemed I could 'delay' my usually-regular period by fantasising about sex. So whether there is something in the idea that by focussing on it your cycle screws up I don't know. Might it be worth going and talking to your doctor about it?

@Waiting2BAMummy - How's the new house? Is it starting to feel like home yet? Have you finished unpacking yet?

Waiting2BAMummy · 03/09/2019 22:47

You’re entitled to that grin @TimeIhadaNameChange lots of women have a long road to get to where you are but most of them have the option to ‘try’ in the traditional way as much as they want. You didn’t have that option and went above and beyond to get where you are, be happy, you deserve it.

Starting to settle in though I am quite far out from everything in comparison to my last flat so definitely going to have to invest in a car, especially, when/if I finally get pregnant. Feels much more homely than my previous place and I DO NOT miss the metal staircase to get to my front door! Not fully unpacked yet but definitely getting there. Have lots of decorating plans and want to get a fence up in the garden - can’t believe I have a garden!

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind a newbie jumping in here ☺️
So my girlfriend and I are TTC, I'm tracking September and October, starting insemination in November. We have decided to use a clinic called SellmerDiers and I'm just stressing about timing and logistics etc!!! Argh such a crazy journey!!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 09/09/2019 20:43

Welcome to the crazy world of TTC @Pinkfamily. These girls are the best and we all understand the trials and tribulations of home insemination.

Good Luck.

Thank you @Waiting2BAMummy xxx

LanieM87 · 10/09/2019 18:31

Welcome to the thread @Pinkfamily I used SellmerDiers for home insemination in July!

I've contracted coparents as I deleted my last account back in June and they won't let me make a new one, but I've not heard back, so may have to message again! Was hoping to have maybe met someone to try this month, but I don't think it's meant to be!

Glad you're settling into your new place @Waiting2BAMummy are you doing SMEP again this month?

@TimeIhadaNameChange interesting that you say your cycle changed when TTC ! It just makes everything so much harder when you can't rely on your cycle! This is definitely much harder then I expected it to be!

Pinkfamily · 10/09/2019 19:01

Hi @LanieM87, is it okay if pick your brains over SellmerDiers....just like how long delivery takes, does it come with instructions to defrost!!! So much to think about. I haven't heard about co-parents, is that a forum with guys "offering their services" ah nightmare about your account I really hope you get that sorted. X
