tiny hope CMV negative does not narrow your donor choice.

stork so nice to have you back!!!

I am keeping my 🤞🏼 that your lining will hold out and that it is full steam ahead for Athens!!!
I will make any timing work!!! The only issue really is around weightloss- I could do with losing loads more to be comfortably below a BMI of 35 but I am not doing so great on that front.

Lucky you munro did you have a good time?

This is great news london!!! When is your next scan?

LondonGirl80 · 17/10/2017 09:30

Thanks kwik. Back for a scan on Friday. Had nine follicles yesterday, so hoping for some nice progress by then.

Bear1980 · 18/10/2017 06:49

Exciting that you’re on your way london, good luck for friday

StorkAhoy · 18/10/2017 12:16

Thanks kwick, so yes my lining was 9.2mm on monday, so FET is booked for Tuesday !!! My consultant is happy with the measure as I’m on the very mildest of meds, but I want it better, so drinking lots of Pom juice and red raspberry leaf tea! He is also cranking up the meds as of tomorrow, with many many many progesterone pessaries and oral tabs to start this week too.

Yes, losing weight while trying to juggle this process is bloody hard. Anything you can do is good, so be kind to yourself!

Cheeky hols munro! Good call!!!!

London I’m hoping for lots of follies for you!!

Munrowalker · 18/10/2017 18:09

How exciting stork! That all sounds positive.

Quick question for those who have used progesterone pessaries after iui/ivf.... will AF still come whilst on progesterone or will it only come after you test and get a bfp and stop taking the pessaries?

kwick · 18/10/2017 18:40

So exciting stork!!!!

munro taking progesterone has always delayed my AF. So I took up until OTD and then if BFN I stopped and got AF a day or two after. When I had my second MC the bleeding started about 3 days after stopping the progesterone.

OP posts:
StorkAhoy · 19/10/2017 19:17

thanks guys!

munro my AF always came bang on time when on the pessaries. Not one day delayed!

Everhopeful76 · 19/10/2017 19:49

Hi there! Sorry for going awol

Wonky I had my viability scan last Thursday at 6+5, everything good and 1 heartbeat. Have you had yours?? I have another NHS scan on 30th October at 9+2, allowed extras because of losing Mabel. Have got midwife appointment on 3rd November, however this all said have now been told that if I want instant referral to the Consultant I had before, I can rebook the scan with him and then I don't have to see the Community midwife at all.
Bit perplexed as to what to do... because my going to Consultant as early as this, it then does feel medicalised straight away and then I lose the input of a community midwife. Its hard to enjoy a pregnancy after loss, this started at the point of the hCG blood tests and I kinda hoped for interactions from both at least in the 1st trimester. So am having a think about whether to leave as is, and then get my community midwife to refer me at my booking appt. I just think I need the extra emotional support, however that said, she may not provide that anyway. So I think probably edging to what has been arranged, have the scan with registrar, meet the midwife at the practice and see what I think from there.

Had to laugh at my sonographer lady last week. She says you ve had donor egg IVF you ll be under Consultant care. It was like, well I didn't imagine I d be freebirthing by a stream!!!

munro I think generally AF is delayed if your on the pessaries, no personal experience tho.

Stork exciting exciting exciting. Athens here you come!!

London hope all goes well with scan tomorrow!

Hope everyone else is good xxx

Munrowalker · 19/10/2017 20:51

Wow ever that's so complicated but sounds like you're making a good decision to get the best of both worlds.
Well...i was told to do a 3ww following iui and on pessaries. No sign of AF but heard that might not come if still on pessaries....BUT.....we tested and have BFP!!!!!
SO F*ING UNBELIEVABLE!
don't know what to do now....never allowed myself to think this far ahead before

Everhopeful76 · 19/10/2017 21:20

Munro omg amazing news. Am so so happy for you!! xx
Just revel in the knowledge you have your BFP, its been a long time coming for you.... enjoy every moment!! Yippeeee

Wonky35 · 19/10/2017 21:21

Congratulations munro! That's amazing news.

I'm glad all is looking good ever. I was a bit worried when we didn't hear anything about the scan. I had my scan today and all is looking good as well. Heartbeat seen (just the one) and is the correct size for date. I think you are right about seeing the midwife as well as the doctor. I think the midwife will probably give more support partly because you will have more time to talk to her. Also it's not like the consultant would be doing anything different during the early stages anyway.

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow london. 9 is a good starting point so fingers crossed they are all growing well.

pickle162 · 19/10/2017 21:23

Eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk Munro I'm so excited for you!! Keeping everything crossed for a sticky bean!!! Does your clinic do blood tests or just book a scan. Oh I really really hope everything works out ok for you sweetie

Good luck everyone, I'm reading everything but not really been well enough to have the energy to reply but keeping everything crossed for everyone x

pickle162 · 19/10/2017 21:25

Wow wonky scan already, that seems to have come round so quick!! Glad all ok :)

I've got a gender scan booked for a week ok Saturday, so excited:)

Pez82 · 19/10/2017 21:34

Checking in quickly to say I'm loving all the good news on the thread!!

Munro, congratulations!!! So glad you got your BFP!!!

Ever, Wonky, great news on the viability scan front, it's always a big milestone to see the little heartbeat. I remember this moment so clearly.

Stork, I'm really pleased to read all is going according to plan and that you're ready to fly to Athens. I'll have everything crossed for you.

Hope everyone else is ok and best of luck to you all xx

Bear1980 · 19/10/2017 21:55

Wow congratulations munro that’s brilliant news 😃

Munrowalker · 19/10/2017 22:05

No bloods as my clinic is 3 hrs away but I have a viability scan early November. Trying not to panic. Fingers crossed everything is okay.
Thanks for all the love

Everhopeful76 · 19/10/2017 23:04

Yes sorry wonky had been away for 5 days and just hadn't logged onto here. Glad your scan went well... And thanks yes the Consultant cant do anything in the early stages that is true... As can no one really. I know the booking appointment from memory goes on for an eternity and is very much a tick box exercise, but it will give me enough time to suss m/w out. I had a different midwife for each appointment with Mabel which was very chaotic, so at least I have a named one this time.

Am glad you already have your viability scan booked Munro

LondonGirl80 · 20/10/2017 21:26

Oh Munro, BRILLIANT! So delighted for you! What lovely news. Keeping everything crossed for smooth sailing for you. Try not to panic, lovely - it’ll be no time at all til the scan.

So glad your scans went well wonky and ever. And brilliant to hear about things moving on for you stork!

Thanks for good luck wishes bear, stork, ever and wonky. Scan today was fine, follicles all growing nicely but a bit more slowly than they’d like, so we’ve upped the menopur from tonight. They told me to bring the cetrotide to my next scan on Monday - can anyone shed light on what this does? Suppose I need to bring it to learn how to administer. We’re heading towards Mon 30 for egg collection, I think.

Pez82 · 20/10/2017 22:55

Cetrotide is an antagonist London so it stops your body from ovulating / releasing the eggs early. Expect plenty of EWCM 😊. It is a bit of a pain to mix the first time but you'll get used to it! Some people get a small skin reaction, personally I got a tiny bit of redness the first night and after that nothing.
Good news the follies are progressing well

Wonky35 · 20/10/2017 22:56

Good news london. Cetrotide prevents the LH surge that would normally trigger ovulation, which obviously you don’t want to happen.

TinyPaws · 20/10/2017 23:12

Amazing news Munro! Congrats!

Bear1980 · 21/10/2017 06:14

Well finally had my consents appointment yesterday, just waiting on bloods to come back and I am good to go. I was lucky with the timing of my period, just got in in time for EC and transfer before xmas.

I will be on antagonist “short” protocol, sounds similar to you london but without the gonal-f. Start notheristone on day 21 of cycle so that they can control the dates. Once next cycle starts I take menopur, on day 4 start cetrotide and then suprecur and ovitreele or just suprecur for trigger (depends on hormone levels). Will then be on cyclogest for luteal phase support after EC.

Excited to get started but need to decide whether to elect for Eeva. It’s a time-lapse imaging software which gives the embryologists a prediction on day 3 of which embryos are most likely to reach blastocyst and implant. It’s £800 I extra but kind of feel with all the extra I am paying out might as well guve myself the best chance. What do you think?

kwick · 21/10/2017 07:51

Ever great news about the scan.
Am bit confused by something you said below - do all donor egg IVFs go into consultant led care? Why?

Yay munro!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
StarStarStar

Interesting that when you donor egg IVF you take cetrotide also...
🤞🏼 on your follies growth london!!!

bear in for a penny in for a pound with me I am afraid 😬

pickle162 · 21/10/2017 07:52

Ah bear I'm so pleased that the timings are coming together. I don't know much about eeva but as you say £800 to increase chances rather than having to redo ivf and have to pay out another x number of thousands
I did this with when I brought the little swimmers, it was like I could save money on one but then if I need multiple attempts I'm worth doing the package which is what I did and never regretted it as felt like I had that added security/peace of mind
Wishing you the best of luck sweetie x
