Lovely pic pez 😁

Angliski hoping than bfn turns into a bfp

@CautionHormone I'm surprising ok with the 3week wait. I've got stuff planned, work is now sorted so just going to enjoy next few weeks. I'm sure I'll get more impatient nearer the time but ok for now :)

PhoenixMama · 08/06/2017 20:24

Oh Pez look at that gorgeous pic!

Fingers crossed Anglski

I'm seeing potential donor tomorrow... will let you know how it goes.

Pickle hope those weeks fly by.

CautionHormone · 08/06/2017 20:30

Pickle, glad you've got stuff to take your mind off of it Smile I have too but doesn't make me any less impatient 😳😂

Phoenix good luck! Hope everything goes well x

StorkAhoy · 08/06/2017 21:05

pez, I'm tearing up here! Xoxox

Angliski · 09/06/2017 09:30

So day 14 has arrived - still testing negative but don't feel periody so just have to wait I guess. My iui was at 11 days which is early for my cycle - normal between 26-29 so I figure maybe I need to give it a few more days?

kwick · 09/06/2017 14:21

Loving your PMA pickle!

We had a very interesting guest speaker yesterday at meeting regarding personal well being - must put in practice some of the advice!

stork I took DHEA for months - as per CRGH consultant but new IVI ones says most recent evidence says it improves egg quantity but not quality of those eggs so told me to stop and I have... I am still on co-enzyme q10 though.

pez so wonderful!!!!!

munro hope you are in better spirits today & am looking forward to seeing your amazeballs photos

anglski I think it is down to resources plus the fact that MC in the early stages is so common - and often times the body's way of ensuring unviable pregnancies do not continue.
FX for a BFP!!!

Hey all how's things going?

Fingers crossed angliski for a bfp, good sign that you have no af symptoms yet.

Glad you have got your dates sorted pickle 3 weeks is not long at all. Are you on a similar protocol to last time?

So I just told my mum about the whole baby plan, she overheard me talking to the clinic about my results today and started to worry that I was ill and not telling her. The good news is she was happy about it (although I am sure it will take time to sink in so am expecting a few interesting questions over the next few weeks). Means a bit less sneaking around now which makes me feel better

pickle162 · 09/06/2017 21:14

Hey bear how you getting along? Ah that's nice your mum now knows is being really supportive :)

Yeh same protocol as before -baseline on 29th, meds suprecur daily and Menopur every other day scan 7th July then one on 10th (which is day later than before due to Sunday but I'm quite pleased cos I think an extra day my follicles may have been that tad smidge bigger) then iui predicted to be on 12th
Support counsellor tomorrow and then pick up the pill that I'll take on 17th until 23th so can time af correctly
Work time has all be booked off etc so feeing more relaxed about it all :)

It has been nice not really thinking about it all to be honest (not that I've stopped thinking about it for more than 7seconds or so😂) but not obsessively....at
Least since Wednesday when they called ....

PhoenixMama · 09/06/2017 21:15

Oh Bear that's lovely. Think its so much better when you can talk to people about it. Hopefully she'll be a big cheerleader for you!

So I was supposed to meet up with the potential donor today but his schedule got too crazy. Reliability was one of my worries with him, more than whether he would get freaked out and want to see the potential baby more. Hmm We'll see!

StorkAhoy · 09/06/2017 23:13

Thanks kwick for that info. I checked with my fc and they suggest not taking for my case as don't have an issue with quality, just quantity!

Snowdog37 · 09/06/2017 23:16

Hello all Smile just popping on to catch up and update! I had my lining scan today, they said it was 8.5-9mm and triple striped so we are good to go for embryo transfer in 8-10 days! I'm really excited. My donor triggers on Sunday or Monday night depending on her scan on Sunday morning. Then retrieval and fertilization on Tuesday or Wednesday. I hope it all goes well. It's been smooth sailing so far, though! Can't fault my clinic, the protocol has worked just as they said and the results so far are fantastic.

Bear I felt so much better once I told my mum what we are doing. It takes a weight off to have their support even if they don't fully get what we are doing lol.

Lovely baby pic Pez!

Hello to everyone else 😊 I hope all is going well in your journeys too.

Bear1980 · 10/06/2017 05:46

Thanks all it does feel better for someone else to know.

That's good you have got work sorted pickle makes life a lot less stressful. My follies are growing slowly this month so while I was sure that IUI would be Monday or Tuesday it may in fact be later which is a pain cause I have taken Monday and Tuesday off work. I am still hoping for Tuesday but not sure there will be enough time for trigger by the time the clinic get my results on Monday morning. Just have to wait and see then figure the work stuff out after.

CautionHormone · 10/06/2017 07:33

Bear I'm glad your mum is supportive. It's nice to have your Mum on board - she's your biggest supporter!
What I've learnt about telling people about my plans is the majority of people will be pleased for you... It's only a few that get a bit confused!

Phoenix that's rubbish about your potential donor... Hopefully it becomes a lot more easier soon!!

Snowdog that's great! Good that it's been smooth sailing too; fingers crossed that's a good omen!!

1 week today til my consult 😆

kwick · 10/06/2017 08:31

Great news Bear - good to have mummy support.

pickle you have a plan!!! Very good - upwards and onwards!

snowdog how exciting!!! 🤞🏼this is it!!!

Full speed ahead caution!

Phoenix that was must be very frustrating!

@CautionHormone as usual we have something booked for the same day. I start taking the pill on 17th first consultation is so exciting, hope all goes well

@Bear1980 why is it as soon as we book annual leave our bodies go 'ah you no what I'm not going to play ball, I'm going to play around just to cause a bit more stress"
I've booked my predicted iui day off the Wednesday but coming in on the Friday instead which is my day off, even tho with meds this should be absolutely fine I'm a little worried my body is gonna be like "hahaha yeh right"....I've pre warned work! 🙄

@Snowdog37 glad everything is going well, sounds really positive you must be so excited 😊 best of luck

@PhoenixMama yeh you don't want to get all excited that you could do a certain day for good timing and then find out he can't do that day cos that'll be well disappointing- perhaps he just needs to give you a "delivery" each day and you just go 'a la turkey baster'

How you doing @Angliski ?

I'm just going to have a nice bath & then pack for my nice girlie evening. Then support counsellor at 12 (so as always leave sooooo long to get there, just in case 😂)

PhoenixMama · 10/06/2017 09:14

Good luck Snowdog!

And good luck at the counsellor's Pickle

Any news Angliski?

Bear1980 · 10/06/2017 10:04

Ooo caution only 1 week to go can't wait to hear how you get on.

It's good that your work know pickle hopefully they are supportive with the ever changing body cycle schedule. Although I am sure you won't need it with the meds this time. Good luck at the counsellor and hope you have a fun night 😀

I am off to what looks like a very wet town gala today. Nevermind its all about the kids and they don't care if its raining when there are bouncy castles and trampolines involved 😂😂😂

Hope everyone else has a fun Saturday

juneybean · 10/06/2017 10:07

Can I join? I'm doing home insemination at home with a 'known' donor (found him on coparent). I've just started cycle 8 and feeling awfully disheartened. Still TTC #1 and I turn 32 in July so worried about my little eggies.

Pez82 · 10/06/2017 10:26

Welcome Juney!
Have you had your AMH levels tested and had a fertility assessment at a clinic? If not, I think it would be worth checking everything is fine. You can normally get what they call a fertility MOT for around £200.
Can I ask, out of curiosity, what agreement do you have with the donor? Will he be the official dad and visit the child?
Best of luck in your journey

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/06/2017 10:34

Hello juney! Smile

8 tries isn't that much - thought I get why it would feel like masses. So it could be nothing. But I agree with pez that if it were me I'd probably try to get some basic checks done. It'll probably just reassure you, but that in itself is good.

snow, sounds as if everything's going really well! Glad for you.

I went a bit quiet getting my mind around this cyst (and scared myself reading the NHS info about treatment, which is all about ovarian cancer and so on). But I need to keep thinking positive and ignoring all the scare stories.

Angliski · 10/06/2017 10:39

Hi everyone

Still waiting over here but still bfn with no af so it's probably a no for this month :(( will keep you posted.

Excited to see everyone's news!
@snow yay so excited for your next stage! @juney welcome to you!

We have been looking into ivf in Czech Republic - anyone got any experience on this? 2k for a round? We will do one more iui as it did work the first time but then I think we will take our expensive scando sperm elsewhere!!!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/06/2017 10:44

Sorry to hear that angliski. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Just this minute opened a referral letter from my clinic to the NHS, which ... has my partner's NHS number and details, but not mine.

Hmm

God, I love sorting out admin fuck ups.

Pez82 · 10/06/2017 10:59

LRD I feel from my own experience and reading about others that half (if not more) of the stress of the journey is caused by admin errors!!! Why oh why can't they get it right???
I got an email a couple of days ago from my clinic saying they'd just seen on my file that I was pregnant... err yeah just nearly 13 weeks!!! 😂

Angliski · 10/06/2017 11:15

@pez lol!
