Thanks, karen! Good to know. Smile

TinyPaws · 05/06/2017 20:20

I'm having trouble keeping track of you all but I'm doing my best! Great to have so many along on this journey though!

Glad you're feeling better Bear

Karen it's really awesome having you around - proof that this works!

Keeping everything crossed for you Munro & Miri.

LRD That sounds really frustrating! Glad you got your appointment.

I'm still waiting for my referral to be assessed by the clinic before I can get a first appointment. Only got my PCOS diagnosis a week and a half ago so probably not fully got my head round that yet.

Just learned that my girlfriend's deployment date is earlier than anticipated, so we have very little time together before she goes, plus the added stress of trying to get everything sorted in limited time before she's overseas for several months. That, along with the upcoming election is occupying my mind pretty effectively at the moment.

In other news, a community of travellers has set up camp nearby. They've been no trouble so far. Trying not to assume the worst, but a friend had a bad experience recently and she only lives a couple of miles away, I hope it's not the same group.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 05/06/2017 20:23

tiny, I only got my diagnosis about 3 weeks ago! Grin You're in good company. I hear that IUI and IVF are actually very good bets for people with PCOS, so in a way, it is not such bad news. It is very manageable.

Will you do treatment with your girlfriend as the other legal mum?

kwick · 05/06/2017 20:43

@MiriAmmerman very encouraging number of blastocysts - hope you can make the dates work!

What's these numbers you've been signing your posts with recently @kwick ? I'm intrigued!

CautionHormone · 05/06/2017 21:41

Pickle - completely random and out of the blue, but I went for a clinic in Leicester that specialises in inseminations... I emailed for their price list, and after finding out more about the clinic and explaining my situation (single lady looking for donor IUI etc) they said they'd like to invite me for a "chat free of charge, or an initial consultation if I preferred". So decided to bite the bullet and book a consultation, which is probably naive of me, but they look and sound like a lovely clinic (I rang up to book the consult) and the person I spoke to seemed really nice too. It's only 40 mins away, which is closer than Birmingham, too. If I decide I don't like them, I can always get my notes from them for my next clinic, but hoping it doesn't come to that!
It's a week on Saturday - the 17th Grin

LRD good luck with your scan! Hopefully your scan would've magically disappeared and you won't have to have it aspirated. If it hasn't, will you be awake?! Blush

CautionHormone · 05/06/2017 21:42

LRD - I meant your cyst, not your scan. Hmm whoops!

witchmountain · 05/06/2017 21:53

Not getting a chance to post at the moment but I am keeping up with everyone's news and celebrating and commiserating with you all in my head...

Froze embryos last year (two cycles of egg collection at London Women's Clinic, fertilised with donor sperm from London Sperm Bank, first round was IVF and second round was ICSI because the sample didn't defrost as well as they would have liked).

I'm 37. Might try and get pregnant late next year, possibly the year after, depends on money as I am saving to re-train post baby (hopefully two babies, let's see how the time goes).

LRDtheFeministDragon · 05/06/2017 22:04

Grin caution I would love it if the scan could magically disappear - and they could wave me on to IUI! But I doubt it.

Good luck with the Leics clinic. No harm in a free consultation, is there?!

Hi witch. Smile

Munrowalker · 06/06/2017 00:20

Wow caution that sounds great. Loving the sound of the new clinic. Hope the consultation goes well. It's so important to feel happy where u have treatment.

So...not wanting to count my chickens before they hatch...but I'm 9dpo and I've had light spotting all day. This is very unusual for me. I never bleed midcycle.
Could this posibly be implantation??? Dare I hope?

This is my first Clomid cycle so maybe it's just a side effect of the drug? I've felt very different since iui this time. Tender boobs and the odd mild cramping. But i can't get too mentally excited just in case.

pickle162 · 06/06/2017 03:07

Ooh Munro does sound promising 😁 keeping everything crossed

@CautionHormone that sounds good, for free consultation, you haven't lost anything and you'll know almost immediately if you like them when you get there. Best of luck for next week then :)

Hey witch :)

Ooh yes @kwick I have been wondering about your numbers too, what do they mean

Munrowalker · 06/06/2017 08:04

😣 now I think it's af on her way
Very confused as it's 5days early
Totally gutted too

Bear1980 · 06/06/2017 08:13

Aw I hope not @Munrowalker 😢

Pez82 · 06/06/2017 08:25

It could well be implantation bleeding Munro and hopefully it is. My second cycle I spotted 4 days early (I never ever spot prior to AF) and I believed it was implantation but it was the progesterone messing up with my cycle. AF started 3 days early that month. It's so hard once you switch to medicated because then you lose your marks.
Are you cramping too? Cramps at this time of the TWW is a good sign 😊
Hang in there lady

Munrowalker · 06/06/2017 08:32

Yes cramps like mild af but now convinced it's af on her way

StorkAhoy · 06/06/2017 09:04

ok munro dont panic just yet. why do you think AF is coming? in both my IVF cycles I've never had a period early it was either a bit late or right on time. deep breaths. xxx

Munrowalker · 06/06/2017 09:22

Stork heavier bleeding this morning instead of just a bit spotting

StorkAhoy · 06/06/2017 09:59

virtual hugs if it is AF. xoxoxo

CautionHormone · 06/06/2017 12:57

Thanks lovelies Smile
I'm so excited. Feel like it's finally starting now! Can't do anything until after July anyway because I have a holiday and stuff to go on, but August I'll be going ahead with it if I can... Probably having my consult now is the right time frame to start in August?? I dunno!

Munro, big hugs. I'm sorry that it seems like AF is on her way Sad xx

StorkAhoy · 06/06/2017 13:21

caution yeah they (both my FCs) liked the consult to happen 2-3months before treatment begins

CautionHormone · 06/06/2017 15:07

Stork - good job I've booked it now then! Phew... Don't want to be behind any more than I already am! X

StorkAhoy · 06/06/2017 15:22

as Kwick would say, you're in perfect time!

Bear1980 · 06/06/2017 15:38

Yeah thats good news @CautionHormone. After my consult I had to get some information from my doctor (smear test, thyroid test, rubella vaccine confirmation) having the consult early meant I could do all that without delaying the treatment. What did end up delaying my treatment a month was fitting in the consent appointment I would recommend getting that booked in as soon as you can after consultation. Might be different at different clinics but my vlinic were busy for consent appointments

Angliski · 06/06/2017 15:45

Hi all I am angliski . I am 39. My husband is azoospermia and so we are using donor sperm. Got preg on first medicated iui cycle but had missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. Currently in two week wait for second cycle which is unmedicated this time. I am 12 days post iui. Happy to answer all questions about process, spermies etc. After my mmc I went a bit mad on private advice - we are private because although we qualify my BMi is still
Too high for NHS bean counters.

Angliski · 06/06/2017 15:48

@ treasure I love Liverpool
And your story gives me hope- currently in tww for second iui after first resulted in mmc
