Yea Turtle thread moves extremely fast. I ve managed to find a cog in the wheel to jump in and keep up with it for now, but I don't achieve this very often. When are you having an egg check hun, any plans to start treatment soon? Where are you based geographically and what clinic are you considering?
We may well be there at the same time Stork although first go will be 3rd week in September (unless my period is mega late this month).
I ve just had an email back from Katie. She says the following about notary signature.
"For the notary certificate its €75 with the notary near here. I don't know if its cheaper to do it locally. But if so, you can just let us know when we are open after the holidays and our paperwork lady can send you the certificate you need to sign with the notary (a notary is like a solicitor but they have a particular international law registration status)" Clear as mud yes!?
Also Stork do not make the mistake I appear to have done inadvertently. Have had the bloods to start treatment, they ve come back clear, but apparently there is a slight risk I have syphilis eeeek(Concept have either made this error or they do not include this test, and Serum need it). So for 1 blood test I will probably have to get that done in Greece, or go to Care in Northampton to get 1 blood test. Not sure how reasonably priced this may be locally, or how awkward they may be about doing it if have no intention of being treated there. GP very awkward and know wont. So what a ballache that is. Need to check Concept wont supposed to include this!!
I am wondering if I made the right choice by choosing DE cycle over transferring 2 donor embryos. If I only get 2 blastocysts from this, you are quite right you get 2 x 2 embryos for the same price. My issue is only wanting 1 put on board because of my history, but with your IVF's you had 2 transferred for at least 1 of your cycles, yes?? Twins are lovely and cute etc but they do make it a higher risk pregnancy and a likely premature birth. Think having 2 top qual blastocysts tips a single pregnancy to something like 75pc but then a 40% chance of twins. Its a worry for me if neither a fresh and a FET fails from DE cycle (and I didn't get any more)? And equally if get more, the cost of storing them as will have to store 1 batch in a 2. Someone I speak to on the Serum page, says that you can freeze in 2s and then the embryologist can pick the best embryo and discard the other, but I am not going to want to do that I don't think. Aaaah!!
