Good luck pickle!!!' Xoxoxo

pickle162 · 09/07/2017 20:20

Thanks stork hopefully I'll be joining you on tww soon xx

Sorry there weren't any embies to freeze! Glad you have 2 good ones on board though x

Wish4Future · 09/07/2017 20:41

Hi all, been lurking for a while and thought it was about time I joined in!
My wife and I have just begun our journey. We are at CRGW in Wales and it's looking like we will be doing stimulated IUI. Have had AMH and HSG tests and have a pre treatment planning meeting on Tuesday. It's all happening so quickly but is very exciting! Good luck all x

pickle162 · 09/07/2017 21:02

Welcome wish
what was your AMH? Good luck for Tuesday Smile sorry silly question but are you same sex couple? If so are you or your wife doing the iui?

PaisleyBE · 09/07/2017 21:06

Keeping on twotting Grin , thanks for asking. Smile My OTD is on Thursday, but af is due on Tuesday, so we'll see whether I get to officially pee on the stick.
I've had several rough moments already as I keep having very similar cramp-like twinges like the last time. I also did a frer yesterday and it was whiter than Nordic Snowwhite's underboob. Temperature is still okay, though, but I won't be surprised to see it down tomorrow morning.

Wish4Future · 09/07/2017 21:09

pickle my amh was 25.4 which I'm told is good for my age, and my tubes were clear on the HSG, so in theory things are good. I'm completely aware that bodies don't tend to listen to theory! Yes, we are a same sex couple, I'll be doing the treatment. X

pickle162 · 09/07/2017 21:43

Paisley hoping all will be ok and the cramps are implanting rather than af!!

Wish that's a fab AMH, so excited for you and your wife :)

Right I'm off to bed, I'll fill you in with how tomorrow goes when I get back to work!!! Fingers crossed everyone x

Bear1980 · 10/07/2017 06:53

Welcome wish, you've come to the right place.

Fingers crossed paisley that this is your month.

Good luck today pickle hope your follies have grown enough for IUI on Wed. Either way you are nearly there

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 07:52

Thanks, had to stop in Tesco to be a bit ill. Tum doesn't feel right still just hope I don't 💩on the nurse. 8 mins till I go in😳😱😫🤞🙄😬

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 07:53

Work have said fine to move stuff around if need to but tummy still not settling until I know my fate

kwick · 10/07/2017 09:01

Oh Stork did not mean to be patronising... just love typing "patent pending" Grin

Pickle really sorry your IBS is playing up. I am very lucky in that I am very "regular" also since cutting out nuts and crisps seem to not get as much tummy pain. Have you tried Kefir?

Welcome wish!!

Haha Paisley whiter than a nordic snowwhites underboob hilarious- although sorry no signs of a BFP yet.

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 10:02

Ah kwick I didn't take it that way! I love your patent pending list! Alas it and other things are engrained on rain at this point....

wish welcome, that's my clinic too! They are just so lovely. Good luck!

Still snorting over the Nordic snow White's underboob.... that is fantastic.

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 14:40

Well one follicle has grown by 6 but that was a small one to begin with so he is at 12, then the 12 has grown to 14 so not big enough to do Wednesday. So have to have another scan on Wednesday morning then prob iui Friday 😔
Have been moving everyone around so can be off Friday.
The nurse was lovely, could obviously tell I'm worried and she was like you are an organiser aren't you, it's not surprising you are finding this stage difficult but without making me feel like a twat.
Lining was 8.8mm so he is doing very nicely.

Wonky35 · 10/07/2017 15:08

Fingers crossed for Friday pickle, what a pain with the regorganising thing.

I have my psychology appointment today. Not entirely sure what to expect but hopefully it is okay.

Did anyone else have difficulty shooting a donor? Not keen on the choices given by the clinic so am looking at Xytex and London Sperm Bank but now I almost have too much choice!

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 15:25

rain? brain kwick engrained on brain!

pickle I love that you follies and lining are male!!! hang in there, its super tough! xoxox

wonky by shooting do you mean choosing? if so, then we have all been driven insane by it at different times. heres my perspective:

  • this is the biggest bit of window shopping you'll ever get to do! but beware of fixating on this too much. If you have your heart set on one, and he isn't available? or withdraws himself? or doesn't work? You'll have to choose a new one!

so - my advice, create a need list: hair, eye colour, skin tone, education maybe, height maybe. And let that drive you. Anything over and above that is your wants list.... but again don't fixate on it.

I had mine all planed, a phd from the eurobank. then he withdrew himself at the last minute, and I ended up with the last Caucasian in my clinics spermbank, who in features was the absolute opposite of my phd chap, but did it matter in the end? no, it was a bloody weight off the old mind! as when he didn't work twice, I had no compunction in changing to another donor with little fuss.

so dream big, but then get realistic I suppose?!

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 15:29

Cos they are being little shits...well saying that lining is behaving-thank goodness

I'm so tired, can't wait to go to bed

Choosing a donor I used Brighton and narrowed down the ones with similar colouring to me

Wonky35 · 10/07/2017 16:38

Am feeling massively disappointed. Found 2 Donors on LSB that I really liked but my clinic said that they don't accept patients from the Seattle bank because the clinic's criteria for donors is stricter than HFEA guidelines. Despite my pushing they couldn't be specific about what the issues with the paperwork are, which is irritating. Am I being ridiculous to consider threatening to / actually changing clinics due to this?

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 16:42

I wouldn't, my clinic are uber strict with who they will accept donors from because some places don't do as many tests. I didn't find it a negative, I was glad they take it so seriously but I didn't have my heart set on someone I can't have

Wonky35 · 10/07/2017 16:51

I don't think it is the screening that's the problem. She just kept telling me that there were problems with the paperwork but wouldn't tell me what the problems were.

Bear1980 · 10/07/2017 17:20

wonky it took me a while to pick my donor, I used ESB because my clinic didn't have any available when I was cycling. To be honest in the end I decided the main thing that was inportant to me was to have a donor who had clearly considered his choice rather than someone in high school who may not have considered or appreciated what it might mean if the child got in touch. It is tough though.

pickle sorry your follies didn't quite grow big enough for Wed but at least this way you might have 2 follies instead of 1. Glad your work is being ok about you moving stuff about.

I feel a bit weird not doing anything this month. The last couple of months have been so full on that I am just trying to enjoy the break. Still OPKing though (want to keep track of my cycles) and mostly following ttc guidelines (no alcohol or caffeine). Will have a few glasses of wine on holiday though 😀.

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 17:26

wonky IMHO, in the great big scheme of things the donor is really one of the smallest elements. If you like your clinic and trust your clinic, stick with your clinic and chose a different donor. Xx

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 17:27

*choose!

Wonky35 · 10/07/2017 17:45

Thanks Stork. I think I probably will choose another donor although am irritated about it. I think if they recommend LSB they should tell people about the no Seattle donors thing in the info sheet that they send out.

pickle162 · 10/07/2017 18:19

Def wonky that isn't on-maybe worth asking them to add something on the info sheet so others don't have to go through same thing

Wish4Future · 10/07/2017 18:36

paisley snow whites under boob! Grin

stork that's great! They really are lovely, and everything is happening super quick, we're so pleased with their efficiency!

We have chosen a donor, we chose grin the clinic's list so there weren't many options but we are happy with what we've got! Looking forward to tomorrow's appointment and hopeful to have our first try in my next cycle at the end of the month. Eek!
