Absolutely wonky! The fact they didn't is rubbish?

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 20:54

Rubbish without the question mark!

Pez82 · 10/07/2017 21:36

Ah ah Stork, is that a baby brain I can sense already??
When are you going to test? I started feeling cramps the day after my 5 day transfer, in the evening, which is when the blastocyst would have been hatching and started to implant. By 5 days after transfer I knew something was up and got my BFP on day 6 (6dp5dt) so you might not have to wait long at all! I have everything crossed for you x

Welcome wish!

Wonky, I narrowed down donors by race, eye colour and then family health history, and then based my choice on gut feeling. Good luck!

StorkAhoy · 10/07/2017 23:02

Nah just my silly iPad keyboard pez! I've had the odd sharp twinge since Sunday. But they were early blastos and could implant anytime from day1-6 post transfer.... I give in and rest early every time!

PaisleyBE · 11/07/2017 18:14

Sooo..Snow White's underboob shall remain white this cycle.
I'm out, af showed up right on time.
I was better this month, didn't get my hopes high..but it still broke my heart.
Tonight I wallow, tomorrow will be the start of new cycle.

Bear1980 · 11/07/2017 18:18

Aww paisley i'm sorry that sucks. I hope this next cycle is your one.

munro how are things going for you this cycle?

pickle162 · 11/07/2017 18:48

Ah bugger paisley I'm so sorry :(

Well I've kept my fluids up, eaten yoghurt-come on follies!
Brought a pineapple for hopefully the twot if this cycle isn't cancel due to poor response from said follies

Wish4Future · 11/07/2017 20:25

Sorry paisley that's rubbish.

Had our pre treatment planning appt today, all looks good for a start as soon as af shows up in a couple of weeks. Excited and terrified!

pickle162 · 11/07/2017 21:23

Glad all went well wish

Bear1980 · 12/07/2017 10:03

pickle did you have another scan today?

StorkAhoy · 12/07/2017 10:26

Hi guys, has anyone looked at embryo donation/adoption and has any idea info on prices and clinics they'd like to share? And kwick your ivi combos, have they been fruitful? Do you have a plan, with costs etc? Sorry if that's too personal, just ignore it if so!

pickle good luck on la scan!

Everhopeful76 · 12/07/2017 11:34

Hi stork am in discussion with serum in Greece for EA and DE. Struggling with anonymous vs non anonymous donor debate currently.
Brief costings for serum are 3k for a single donor embryo and 5 k for a complete DE cycle which is certainly a lot less cheaper than uk. They also do oe treatment as ivf light or clomid only banking cycles as possibly yet another hybrid protocol but always short rather than long. They do not charge consultation fee but usually recommend an aqua scan at 200 euros over there, possibly up to 400 euro if doing prior andhere in U.K.

My over analytical brain has meant lots of questions from the medical directors assistant, who is incredibly knowledgeable, very timely in her responses and no bullshit, honest about chances of own egg cycles but not ruling them out. 60-65 pc live birth rate on donor egg and embryo cycles. Am a little suspicious I think being that high but am on a Facebook group of serum cyclers and there are many many successes.
My issue is whether I want to use Mabel's donor for a 3 rd time and if case will need to do an all out expense cycle at lwc, as it's nearest that has both a good reputation, good de programme and will allow me to use a cryos donor!!
Have much more info if you have questions or quite willing to send messages/ email responses from serum albeit some questions geared specific to my situation. If this is helpful? Kwik will have Spanish details, Snowdog had her cycle in Czech Republic I think.

I was researching serum before I knew I was pregnant with Mabel, so yr like me getting on with planning. I hope you don't have to tho and this cycle works!!! At least I think you re at beginning of 2ww, sorry in advance if I ve missed something and that's not the case

Best of luck xxx

pickle162 · 12/07/2017 11:41

So scan was a bit disappointing, I've got a 15mm and a 13mm so still a bit small. So I've now got Menopur daily until another scan on Friday where hopefully they'll be a bit bigger. Got lots of tiny ones too so think my body doesn't know what to do. If follicles are around 17mm Friday then suspect I'll have another Menopur Friday too and then trigger overnight Saturday/Sunday for Monday. They are aiming for an 18mm
Had to change work again, they are being ok but the "it's ok" bit seems to be wearing thin but maybe I'm just paranoid.
So I'm trying to remain positive that will all be ok Friday and still enough time to have extra Menopur if needed on the Friday ready for Monday iui. Clinic are being lovely and said not to worry it'll be fine and if it wasn't they would tell me
I really don't handle change well so this is really hard

StorkAhoy · 12/07/2017 12:41

ever thank you my lovely! That's super helpful! I've been emailing serum and they seem to use the term embryo adoption/double donor to mean the same thing, when they really don't seem to be. So I need to unravel all of that! From what I can see, the pricing absolutely matches what you have said about a double donor ivf cycle being 5k.

Doubledonor is deffo worth looking at if I was doing this again.
But I'm also interested in embryo adoption i.e. Embryos already created by couples and already on ice, and being donated to be given a chance at life. Seems to be a big thanks big the in US, by t can't seem to see anything about this over here. Anyone heard of anything? Think I may have to trawl fertilityfriends!

pickle perhaps next time just throw a sickie on iui day if you/your work are finding the planning a little difficult? My friend did that as her work weren't too sympathetic at it took all the stress out of it for her! Wishing you much follie growth!

Xx

Bear1980 · 12/07/2017 13:22

Aww pickle thats really frustrating but they are clearly still growing so thats a good sign. Do you get bloods taken as well or is it just a scan? Fingers crossed for Friday

I am already nervous that I won't be able to do September cycle like I had hoped because my cycle is currently looking like I would need IUI on a day when I am in London. Hoping my holiday will push my cycle out a few days (this quite often happens when i travel) and that will make the timing perfect.

Everhopeful76 · 12/07/2017 14:12

stork embryo adoption is quite difficult in this country, I think it would be more of an ad hoc chance of an embryo if maybe a couple had done a cycle and was willing to give up 1 to be frozen for this case, but I'm getting the general impression that it doesn't happen here that much. Someone might pop up with a different view and yes on fertility friends
Are you a member of dc network? If not the lady on main desk Lucia Grounds is very knowledgable about a lot of things and also might be able to put you in touch with someone who may have done the same in this country

But yes the general impression I'm getting is it's much more common, embryo adoption in Spain and Greece. My current clinic recommend it as an affordable first line treatment before you go to a donor egg cycle, this is thru IB in Spain but I have yet to have follow up appt following ivf failure giving these options.. The success rates of EA are very high but I guess arguably if you ve paid 3 k and it doesn't work and then you end up going for that again you could well have had 4 top quality embryos that implant successfully from full DE cycle and have paid 5 k ( if at serum) for several goes but yes there are things like storage costs and Fets too aren't there.
They told me if there was a chance of using consecutive embryo adoptions it might be possible to have 2 from the same couple but there is then a 200 Euro registration fee- I guess that's the storage fee you pay based on pot luck of it being available

If you want to pm me off thread I can certainly give you all the info I've had or just ask me on here whatever is best

pickle your follies are being sent love xx

Everhopeful76 · 12/07/2017 14:14

Sorry bear hope you can go in September and your holiday messes up your cycle in a good way 😀

pickle162 · 12/07/2017 15:53

Bear hope you can still do September cycle.
No my clinic only does scans. I'm still getting ewcm and lining is good just need the follies to behave

StorkAhoy · 13/07/2017 09:15

Thanks ever! Very helpful!

5dp5dt and still bfn for me at the moment! Still talking, meditating and praying to my babies though! Lots of time for that frown to turn upside down!

Hello everyone
Sorry I have been MIA for a few weeks.
I have been watching and reading all your updates.
IUI 4 was also a BFN
AF arrived the morning of a massive hiking challenge for me. 26.2miles and 5000ft of ascent plus AF isn't fun.
My mental health took a nose dive for a good few weeks after that.
The contrast back2back cycles have really taken their toll on us.
However, back for IUI 5 tomorrow. 🤞 this is us
❤ to all and welcome to newbies
