Congrats stork glad you liked the clinic and good results on egg collection.

pez love the photos and am glad that you got to see mini pez today. A girl, how exciting and just think you will get to see her again in a few weeks at your next scan ☺️

pickle162 · 05/07/2017 19:03

This time next week I should have had my 2nd iui 😁 fingers crossed

Bear1980 · 05/07/2017 21:02

Eek pickle when is your next scan?

pickle162 · 05/07/2017 21:35

Friday is 2nd scan then Monday so as long as follies are behaving should be good to go :)

TreasureInMyTummy · 05/07/2017 23:44

Hey pickle very exciting that's come round quickly yay come on little follicles!

Kwick good to hear about blood tests x

Pez lovely scan pics and yay a little girl x I'm 21 weeks on Friday and like Karen I have an anterior placenta so I have to still concentrate really hard to feel a flutter and even then I'm not sure if that's my actual baby. Looking forward to some actual kicks as the worry hasn't really gone away yet. I bought a Doppler but can't find heart beat darn it ( though can find one of the veins that go across stomach I thought it was heart beat and then you tube made me realise not) tempted to pay for scan but don't want to know gender. Sometimes I get scared I'm no longer pregnant - bear. I'm with you - a born worrier

Bear - where are you off on holiday? Holiday to somewhere cold sounds great to me at mo I'm
Hot all the time!

Stork wow that's a difficult decision I would want to increase my chances but totally understand the financial impact. Then I would twins wow and then eek how would I cope. Go with what feels right on Sat x

Ooh good luck with next cycle angliski - how many of us are doing a cycle in July?

Bear1980 · 06/07/2017 06:25

Enjoy Portugal bear xxx I'm just going to slope off and sit in front of the freezer :) ⛄️

kwick · 06/07/2017 08:37

You poor thing Treasure!
A great way to cool down - if you have the time and space - is to lie with your back and bum on the floor and your legs up the wall - learnt this in yoga years ago in Spain.

OP posts:
Pez82 · 06/07/2017 08:45

Kwick, checking for fundal height doesn't involve any fanjo exploring luckily, it's done externally 😁
Hurrah about the final 2 days of work at your old job - about time!!!!

Treasure, I too suffer a lot with the heat. My hands shake and I basically walk at the pace of a snail. Take care of yourself. Are you sleeping ok? I'm really struggling to sleep on the side when it's hot so I keep waking worried I'm on my back! I've ordered a massive U pillow from eBay which should be delivered tomorrow and will hopefully help me stay in position. I have a low lying placenta so far but apparently it's quite common at 16 weeks as space is limited and it then goes up by 20 so I'll see at my next scan...

Bear, have a wonderful time in Portugal!!!

Pickle, you seem more relaxed this time around, definitely a very positive sign 😉

Juney, I used a company called ultrasound direct. They have offices all over the country I think. I use the one of London City and both sonographers are so lovely. They gave me lots of photos both times and they don't rush you around which feels so nice.

Stork, really hope your embies are dividing properly as we speak xxx

juneybean · 06/07/2017 09:19

Bear oh how lovely, I haven't been to Portugal but heard good things!

I'm feeling pretty down today, started getting my usual spotting last night and feeling very AFy today, temp was slightly up but I think that's because I was restless an hour before taking temp. I cried all night because I knew I was out. Does any one else get this devastated?! I feel like I'm going insane.

Pez82 · 06/07/2017 10:35

Juney, it's really tough. Are you going to test? If it does end up not being your months, I recommend treating yourself to something nice, a nice dinner out, a massage or a bit of shopping, whatever makes you feel better. I know it's very material but I found it helped. It also helped to know that as soon as AF was here a new cycle was starting.

StorkAhoy · 06/07/2017 10:53

Ive been calculating. Two would nearly break me. Nearly. Until they are three, then Id be fine. Or it would make me get up and get a better paying job at a higher salary rather than the working from home loveliness Im currently enjoying 3 days a week.

so I think two. as the regret if I chose one and it didn't work would be immense.

depends on potential frosties of course!

StorkAhoy · 06/07/2017 10:54

and thank you all for your positive vibes, I too hope the little welsh embies are dividing happily!

juneybean · 06/07/2017 11:14

Pez I did test this morning and stark white BFN again! I just wish AF would start proper so I can plan the next cycle! It's my birthday on Wednesday as well so it would have been a nice birthday present. But I'm hopeful for next month as it's a due date of April which sounds nice to me for some reason. I've asked DW to buy me lots of chocolate today.

Stork I think two is a good plan, and you know people cope with the cost of two all the time, you just manage :) How exciting though, I think twins would be lovely!!

Bear1980 · 06/07/2017 15:22

Aww juney i'm sorry if you are out, it's tough around your birthday too I was the same this month 😢. Take a few days to regroup and enjoy your birthday. It's good to cry and let it all out if you can.

pickle162 · 06/07/2017 16:52

Ah juney I'm sorry sweetie, yes I cried lots last time. It is a big thing to grieve

Pez yeh feel ok this cycle, work is uber ridiculously busy so can't really think of anything else but also what will be will be. I can't do anything .....I'm sure I'll worry overnight about what my follies are doing before my appointment tomorrow morning. But then again I was fine at this point last time, nearer to iui was when I lost it but again I've got so much planned that hopefully I'll be able to remain calm. Got support counselling again on Saturday so hopefully if I am worried about anything I can spit it out when I see her

Stork can't wait to hear how your little embies are doing :)

Wonky35 · 06/07/2017 23:07

Hopefully if you are down as urgent LRD it will be quicker than the 18ww. A way to maybe speed things up would be to contact the waiting list office and say you are happy to take a last minute cancellation slot if that would be possible for you.

Sorry to hear about the BFN Juney. I haven't gone through it yet but the highs and lows must be really tough.

Fingers crossed for lots of health blasts stork.

I have to say I think this process is making me weird! Spent half my day thinking about sperm (possible donors I mean), I even made a spreadsheet. And for the last few weeks have hated seeing magpies (bad luck) and tonight was really happy when a nearly black cat (white paws) walked in front of me (good luck). It's ridiculous as I'm not superstitious. And don't even me started on my current diet and supplements!

TreasureInMyTummy · 06/07/2017 23:12

Kwick great tip thanks will try that x

Pez I'm ok sleeping on side as lying on back kicks off sciatica. My problem is being lovely sleepy and comfy and then realising i need to get up to go loo - five times last night. The other night I had a terrible tummy ache with trapped wind so had to get up and walk around rubbing my tummy - almost glad I don't have a partner to see me like this lol

Juney so sorry to hear no birthday gift this time at the moment but if you up for it then good luck for this month and next cycle. I went straight after my first cycle didn't work and for me it really helped. Agree with others though have a little time to feel free to be upset ( I actually felt quite angry as well as upset) it helps xx

Stork. I'm willing all the little embies on x

pickle162 · 07/07/2017 07:54

Ah really upset tum (in the ONLY toilet at the clinic 😱😳so embarrassing) stupid ibs!!!
Just waiting for scan-not long now. Come on follies!!!

juneybean · 07/07/2017 09:22

Good luck for the follies pickle xx

Thanks for the love all, I just get people saying it takes straight couples up to a year and I just want to scream and say I don't have that luxury! Grr!

pickle162 · 07/07/2017 10:02

So lead follicle is 12mm they seem ok with that but I think it's a bit small if want iui on Wednesday. May well be moving all the Friday patients to Wednesday 🙄 rest are around 6.5mm (5 of those)
I was at 14mm last time at this point and they only made 16mm and 17mm by the next scan but we'll see!! Feel a bit 😔
Lining was 7.02mm tho so above the 6/6.5mm that needs it to be so that's good.

Got 3more days of growing till next scan and one more Menopur so hopefully if they grow 1-2mm per day I may just get in there. Just have to wait and see

Bear1980 · 07/07/2017 13:01

What are they moving Friday patients to Wednesday pickle? Fingers crossed for lots of growth, my follies were slower growing this time so I was an extra couple of days for IUI. Good lining thought, my lining was only at 3.4 at my first scan this time (it jumped to above 7mm by next scan so things can change quickly)

LRDtheFeministDragon · 07/07/2017 16:15

Oh, juney, what a rotten response and how frustrating.

I'm shuddering to think of the cost of doing even the cheapest IUI every month for a year, let alone anything more expensive. People just don't think before they open their mouths.

pickle - fingers crossed!
