LRD don't think clinic think of you as 'one family' with your other half? Crazy that might have to miss out on the kids being blood related

LRD, I really hope it doesn't get delayed too much now and that they can save your ovary. It's reassuring someone finally considered the 'due by' date of your donor sperm. Did they give you an estimate of how long it could take to get to the top of the waiting list?

Juney, the first few days of your cycle don't really matter as long as you have at least 4 or 5 stable temps prior to ovulation.

Kwick, really good news re bloods, you're definitely moving in the right direction! And no, of course they didn't scan me, they didn't even touch my tummy! I tried to find my fundal height (top of my uterus) again last night but no success. I stopped after a while as didn't want to be poking mini Pez too much!

pickle, I think they do (I mean, I dunno and it's possible). TBH, I am quite angry with them as I think they just think 'oh, they paid for one set of sperm and now they might pay for two, great, more money for us'.

pez - they say maximum 18 weeks, and she did say she'd try to make it less as it's very likely to burst on its own before that, because it's so big. But she was much more reassuring than the GP and managed to talk me through warning signs and so on.

How exciting to be thinking of fundal heights, though! Ooh! How are you feeling in yourself, btw?

If you are classed as one family then why do you have to pay for more-pregnancy slot
Only counts until you have a baby and then you have that pregnancy slot forever.... or is it how long you can keep the sperm at the clinic? I don't understand 😕

My OCD is kicking in nicely, I want to rewrite all the dates that the nurse wrote in as her writing is all scruffy in my book lol....3 more days till next scan and can see how my follies are behaving

Hi everyone - heading up to a new cycle of iui - I am due on next week and we start off all the injections etc. Anyone else doing a July cycle? We have decided if this one doesn't take and stay that we will go for ivf at ivfzlin xx

So after this morning's disappointment I did something naughty!! I booked myself a gender scan for tomorrow lunch time to get some reassurance that all is going well and also know the sex 4 weeks earlier 😁

Not naughty! Very sensible.

I've a friend who's now in her eight month and she swears by the extra scans she had. She needed the reassurance, and they are cheap when you think how much the whole process costs.

I'm back from Wales! 14 eggs retrieved, and 8 have fertilised. Transfer booked for Saturday. And my clinic are bloody lovely! Such a fabulous change!

pez I took it at 4.10am after having my mouth open again and it was 36.36 so I waited a bit and took it again and it was 36.57 :/ I'll try and post a picture.

stork that's amazing! Are you just transferring one?

juney hello! Well I transferred one the first round, two on the second round and bfn both times. I think it will depend on the state of the embryos on day 5 and if any make it to the freezer. While twins would be nearly financially crippling, I do want two children, and given past experience there's no guarantee I'd fall pregnant or keep both even if I do... my new consultant who is staunchly all about single embryo transfer and doesn't tend to offer two embryo transfer, is suggesting two. So I don't know, have till Saturday to think about it....

Amazing news Stork! Hope the little embryos behave well over the next 5 days.

My own little embryo has grown a lot since transfer and I now know she's a little girl!! I'm so pleased. It took 4 scans today to get a view of her crotch, she was firmly crossing her legs during the first 3!

Ah well least your consultant is supportive if you decide to do two.

Paisley, it was a gender scan so no measurements but they still checked her stomach and bladder are working and looked at the heartbeat. Totally worth the £60 I paid for it!! And it took so many tries that I got a good view of her. Definitely recommend for peace of mind.

Where did you use for the scan pez? My friend used babybond and said they treated her really well.

OTD is Friday but I'll probably test every day because I'm insane.
