I have donated blood but not since I got married so depends if they'd accept my maiden name. Wonder if they tested when I had DS, I will speak to my GP surgery tomorrow and ask if they know

Button if you have your blood donation form still that says what blood group you are it'll have your NHS number on it which is unique to you so they would accept that..... its weather or not you can find that information sheet is possible the trickiest bit

I work in the NHS so I may email my contact in Patient Admin to see if they've got it. I had elective C section so presumably they did a blood test before that plus my GPs are shite

snork it sounds like you are much happier with the new clinic and I think that matters a lot. If your dad can help out taking you to appointments then even better. I think it's best to switch now because at least then you know what the plan is and there is less uncertainty (our bodies provide enough of that).

No news from me yet, still cramping but no af. Last month I was 14 dpiui when af showed up and am day 12 now so fingers crossed no af by Tuesday

Why isn't your otd on day 14? You were tww last time weren't you? Or were you meant to be 18days like I was? Stay away af!!!

I'm hoping for no af until at least Tuesday....but really as long as it wasn't today it should still be ok for baseline scan on Thursday. I'm sure af will keep me guessing like usual 🙄

Feel like I had a good weekend. FINALLY managed to get a headshot for passport photo - my British passport is expiring, given how long it takes me to get my arse in gear to renew, good job I have dual nationality.
Spent quite a bit on my addiction (beauty products) 😬

Cleared up some clutter at home
Got rid of all my junk emails

pickle yeah last time was 2 weeks I think it just depends on the day it falls I think they usually do about 16 days to make sure the 2nd injection is out of your system but my local clinic only tests mon-wed-fri. Last time they brought it forward and this time they made it later.

Had a timy amount of spotting in the middle of the night last night and so far nothing else since so I am praying it was implantation bleeding. It's not normal for me to spot before af but who knows what the hormones do to your system. Aarrgh the waiting is getting to me now 😖

Bear are you taking any meds now?

No last meds was a hcg shot on Monday (8 clicks of Ovitrelle) which I think based on last time it will be out of my body now

Sitting waiting to see physio due resurgence of coccyx pain (I fractured in 2000 after being coerced into White River Rafting) and I get flares ups every now and again.

I am in a #getshitdone mood - good job as this is handover week to my replacement!!!!

No I think the hcg is supposed to encourage your body to produce more progesterone naturally.

I bet you'll be glad to get everything handed over and get a bit of downtime at work. Hope the handover all goes smoothly

Bear I SO want to handover everything!! I spoke to my replacement earlier - I will be with her tomorrow abd Wednesday. She is so excited - I told her that way wane after she hears all the shit (I did not put it quite like that!) I have to handover.... but that is her problem not mine
I did send her some stuff by email which ideally be in better shape but you know I just did not get to it and that is just going to have to be ok seeing as I have been doing two jobs since before Easter.

Let me "marvel" again on how different each FC handles things - never taken a post treatment HCG boost but have had to stick progesterone up my fanjo like there is no tomorrow!!!

Moving clinic sounds like a good idea once you've lost faith in your existing clinic. Plus any control we have over our own journeys needs to be savoured as it is so precious. The journey is so tough and full of things outside our control. That's what I find so tough anyway.
TWW sucks! But I'm keeping busy. Full on week at work this week and I've got a trekathon on sat (26.2 miles over the mountains of glencoe)
I'm trying not to think about it this month and last month I became so invested in the magical 3iui that I was crushed when AF arrived. I need to preserve my mental health a bit more this time.

I agree I can't believe the admin issues some of us on here have had - as if this isn't stressful enough! Hoping new clinic will be better x

This thread moves fast so might have missed an update but has anyone heard from shoes and how she is with her little girl ?

I have my 18-20 week scan today :) I've been suffering quite a bit with what doc and physio think is slipped disc and sciatica. Some days ok but other days I'm having to pee on a towel standing up as can't sit down ( or stand or walk or be comfy lying down)
All worth it to see little baba today.
Baby was facing down and they didn't get me up and moving because of back but they did measurements and all fine and I like my unusual pics.

Love this thread and willing us on for more bfps in the coming months

I have to say I've been wondering how hcg helps. I don't understand how it encourages higher levels of progesterone. That hormone is secreted by the cl. So we take progesterone in case the cl isn't functioning well.

I'm not entirely sure karen from what I read last time the hcg encourages the cl to continue to produce progesterone so it's used by some clinics as an alternative to suppositories

munro fingers crossed for you this month. I was ok for the 1st week of tww this time but the 2nd week has been torture. Af is due today so still waiting. My LP is usually 13 or 14 days, last month stretched to 15 and today is day 15 so if AF doesn't show up I guess I will be officially "late" 😲

Any sign of AF Pickle?

I'm not doing so great. My mental health has taken a tumble so I've been referred for more help. Have a feeling that this was all kicked off by iui not working and the realisation that my life feels very off track. This process is such a hard one, I think especially for those of us on our own.

Sat in my GP surgery waiting to see my horrible GP to go back on the pill. The clinic have said this will help the process as they will need to time my period with the donor

There's going to be something rather odd about taking the pill at the same time as Folic Acid and vit D

Will ask her about my blood type whilst I am here if I feel brave

Well pickle is af behaving itself?

I was very positive this morning only to be greeted by af this afternoon 😢 totally gutted and a bit numb right now. I really felt the timing was looking good this month. I am on holiday in a few weeks so going to take a couple of cycles off and focus on diet and exercise before my final try. On the positive I can have cocktails at the weekend for my birthday (although would have happily missed the cocktails for a bfp).

I am going to start looking into the price of ivf as thats where i'll be heading next. Has anybody gone through access fertility for ivf?

phoenix, I'm so sorry to read that. I hope you soon feel the benefit of that help. I think you must need enormous resilience and bravery to even begin this process alone. You deserve so much.
