Bear I'm the same first week of tww was fine altho still long but 2nd was torture

Awe treasure I'm so happy for you sweetie, how lovely to see your little one even if they are in funny positions
*
Phoenix* sorry you are struggling so much, it really is a head fcuk and as you say can kick off a chain of events

Button I had mycrogynon on the first cycle and norethisterone this cycle to time my cycle, I paid through my clinic tho, was only like £12 or something

Oh bear I've just got to your latest post I'm so sorry af has reared its ugly head :( I too am considering whether to try ivf if this cycle doesn't work but not sure I have the funds to do that :/ take sometime out to cry then get your glad rags on for your bday and enjoy the cocktails. Big hugs sweetie

My af has literally this second started -phew!! I brought some non alcoholic mojito juice thing from Aldi last night 😋

Bear1980 · 27/06/2017 18:21

Thanks pickle I have just e-mailed access fertility to ask for details. Everything is a gamble in this process you can buy 3 cycles with them and if unsuccesful you get a certain % refund but if it is successful first time they get the full fee. I had always planned on 3 IUI before thinking about IVF so unless clinic recommend a different approach then I will stick to that.

I really want to sit and eat loads of junk and feel sorry for myself but always feel nauseous at start of cycle so can't face it.

When is your scan now that af is here pickle?

pickle162 · 27/06/2017 18:32

Baseline scan is Thursday at 8.30am, then one on 7th and 10th at 8am then iui prob 12th. Because I was on the pill I was able to prebook all the scans.
I have just binged on crap for you (& prob all of us here-ooopsy)

Pez82 · 27/06/2017 18:50

So sorry this cycle wasn't successful Bear, take the time to grieve, a holiday sounds a good plan. Sometimes I wonder how I managed to do my 4 cycles in a row, I guess once I started there was no stopping me but looking back a rest is probably a good thing. When I finally got my BFP I hadn't taken a single day off in months and the first weeks of pregnancy were really hard as I was so tired physically and mentally. A 3rd IUI before moving to ivf sounds sensible. And hopefully you won't need ivf at all!

Treasure, how lovely! Will you get another scan to find the sex or you're happy being team yellow? I still have 5 weeks until my 20 week scan, can't wait to see the little one again and get some reassurance that all is well. Nausea is still here unfortunately but mostly in the morning now and when I haven't eaten for over 2 hours.

I'm just about to meet another doula, I really hope I click with this one as she is much cheaper than others (she is a mentored doula as opposed to 'recognised')

Good luck everyone with your upcoming and current cycles, I really hope we can see some BFPs on the thread soon

pickle162 · 27/06/2017 19:15

Good luck with the doula pez let us know how u get on?

Munrowalker · 27/06/2017 20:06

I'm so sorry @bear that totally sucks. One minute feeling positive and the next the world slips out from underneath you.
I'm also planning a break maybe July and August or just August if this cycle isn't the one.
This is iui 4 in a row and the cycle of not knowing etc is killing me.

Sorry @phoneix that life is tough for you right now. I totally get what your saying about the thoughts being triggered by one event. It's like a snowball affect. Big hugs

LRDtheFeministDragon · 27/06/2017 20:48

bear, that's rotten. Especially that you had no warning - bodies can be cruel.

Bear1980 · 28/06/2017 05:59

Thanks munro and lrd it sucks. 4 cycles in a row mus t be draining munro think a break would do you good (although 🤞🏻 you won't need it cause this is your month). I struggled at the start of this cycle jumping straight in although in a weird way I think it helped because my focus was less on the fact that it hadn't worked.

Anyway onto diet and exercise planning for me. Does anyone take coQ10? If so what dose?

kwick · 28/06/2017 07:37

munro I am keeping my 🤞🏼for you

treasure fab scan photo. Sorry to hear about your back woes - take it easy!

phoenix sorry to hear you are not doing so great - hope you get the help you need. Flowers

bear what a fcuker about AF. I had high hopes you were going to get lucky. Taking a short break sounds like a good idea.
What pez said.

pickle great news in AF!
STEP AWAY FROM THE JUNK FOOD!!!

pez how was the doula?

bear I did 5 IUIs before I had a BFP on an IVF...
I take 300mg of Co-enzyme q10 twice a day. I have found a cheap source on the world wide web Grin

Went to see a physio for returned coccyx pain - been so helpful. Now have a calf stretcher which I can use when brushing my teeth!

OP posts:
Pez82 · 28/06/2017 08:17

Bear, I took 200mg of CoQ10 which I started 3 months before TTC. I wasn't as clever as kwick and bought mine from Boots and H&B so spent a small fortune on it. I stopped taking it during my TWWs and resumed after my BFNs.

The doula was really lovely, we had a good chat and I felt good with her. She has 2 children herself and includes meditation in her session which is good for me as I tend to overthink and worry about most things. I think I'll go with her as I felt the conversation flowed through easier than the other one I spoke to (whom I found a bit more 'rigid') and also charges a third of the price so always a bonus!

She highly recommended this book to prepare for birth. Available on Amazon @Karendvm @TreasureInMyTummy

Bear1980 · 28/06/2017 08:44

Thanks pez. I am interested to hear how you get on with the doula are you planning on having anyone else with you?

Bear1980 · 28/06/2017 08:48

Should have read the updates before posting 😂.

Thanks kwick where did you get it online?everywhere I have looked has been super expensive. Think I am going to start taking it for the next couple of months which hopefully alongside better diet and exercise will improve my chances. Hope the physio has helped with your pain

Pez82 · 28/06/2017 09:06

No bear, I'm not planning on having anyone else apart from the doula. I've been fine doing all the appointments on my own so far and I worry about the added pressure of having a relative/close friend with me on the day. The doula sounds like the perfect solution as she will remain calm and I'll still get to know her during the months preceding the birth. We'll work on my birth plan together, do breathing exercises, and she will also be the one driving me to the hospital. I really want someone to be with me at home during the contractions and she said she would do that. She will also make sure the midwives don't chuck my placenta and take it to another local doula who does encapsulation.

pickle162 · 28/06/2017 09:32

Really pleased you got on well with her pez that's fab news and great that she is the cheaper one-added bonus :)

PaisleyBE · 28/06/2017 10:05

Bear , I cannot add anything to what was already said. Flowers May the 3rd one be the charm, right?

I will be doing my 2nd IUI tomorrow. I have a super early flight to CPH and I will be back to Brussels the same day. I hope that the timing will be ok this time. I had a feeling that I did it too early last time, I think that my OPKs are too sensitive.

So far I have decided to try in Copenhagen until September and then I will decide what next. I'm having a look at local fertility clinics, but it is a nightmare. Almost no information on whether they provide services to single women, I have to write to each and every one of them. I'm also looking into clinics in the Netherlands, as it is an easy driving distance, but so far I'm not liking what I'm seeing.

Pez , thanks for the book tip. It goes straight on my list. Smile

juneybean · 28/06/2017 10:12

Ack trying to catch up here.

Treasure what a lovely scan! Sorry you're suffering so much! Is the physio suggesting anything to help you?

Phoenix I'm so sorry you're feel so low. It's a very shit process when you're on your own, I had my mum for support when I was alone, but still every month when it didn't work was devastating. You always think "I'll be one of the ones it works for first". I'm glad you're seeking more help though.

Oh Bear so sorry AF turned up :( Glad you've got your holiday to take your mind off and enjoy all the cocktails! Work your way down the list!

Pickle mmm what's the mojito juice like? I'm sure Sainsbury's used to do one but they discontinued it!

As for me... had my first blood test today (5-6dpo...) veins were being naughty and she had to syringe the blood out...ouch!

pickle162 · 28/06/2017 10:25

Mojito juice was lovely-fab alternative:)
Good luck for tomorrow paisley

pickle162 · 28/06/2017 14:33

Af is barely here, hoping it gets a bit heavier as don't think lining will be thin enough if not 😖

Bear1980 · 28/06/2017 17:02

Thanks juney

How thin does it need to be. I hate that this whole process is waiting and hoping your body behaves.

I wish I hadn't started looking at the costs of IVF cause have been freaking myself out 😖. Just going to focus on getting healthy for September and praying it works out. Have requested time off work for when I expect the treatment to be so thats a little bit less stress.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far

ButtonMooooon · 28/06/2017 17:12

Sorry Pickle hope AF starts behaving soon (I bet there aren't many times we wish AF would be heavier)

Bear we're currently looking at an exclusive donor egg cycle for the bargain price of £8k

The irony that I have sperm and no egg and the majority of posters on here are the other way on is not lost on me, maybe we should start our own MN clinic

I have found out both mine and DHs blood groups and they're different so that opens more possibilities for matching with the donor. Unfortunately my GP wouldn't prescribe the pill as I should never have been on it as I have aura migraines. She kept saying it like it was my fault!!! I didn't prescribe myself it!!!!! I don't think I've ever seen someone pull this face Hmm IRL. So need to ring the clinic with that info tomorrow as well

pickle162 · 28/06/2017 17:32

Oh I hate Drs that talk to you like you're talking shit 😡 hopefully your clinic can help :)

I think lining is meant to be under 4mm, I think mine was 3 last time.
Yes wouldn't normally want heavy af and tbh it hasn't been heavy since coming off the pill in September but usually have been more than this. Oh well my body does like to keep me guessing

Yeh button a few of us think we should create our own fc clinic-

Wonky35 · 28/06/2017 17:36

Hi. I've been keeping an eye on this thread for a while but have decided to post as have come to the decision to go ahead with IVF in September and could use the support.

Single, 34. Always wanted kids and a while back I had my AMH checked. It came back as low which was a shock, hence the decision to go ahead and TTC on my own.

pickle162 · 28/06/2017 17:50

Hi wonky welcome😊you have come to the right place for support
What was your AMH result, have you chosen your clinic yet?

Pez82 · 28/06/2017 17:55

Welcome Wonky! Very wise decisions, both to ttc and to join us 😊
Any particular reason you would want to go straight to IVF as opposed to starting with IUIs?

TinyPaws · 28/06/2017 18:03

Bear I'm so sorry, that really sucks.

Welcome Wonky!

I'm still waiting for an appointment date. Sigh.
