tiny, that's ridiculous.
But it does ring true with my experiences, both with DP and with me. They're constantly utterly bemused by us.
Case in point - having waited two weeks trying to chase the clinic's letter to my GP, I find they've lost it. Hand delivered another letter to the GP, and flagged up the fact that the letter mentions both me and my female DP, but that it's me, the patient, who needs to be referred to NHS hospital.
Guess what we got through the letterbox yesterday? Yep, a letter addressed to DP from the hospital, referring to 'your recent GP consultation'.
Had to ring to ask for it to be changed. The thing that worries me is that this cyst is getting bigger, and they've wasted two weeks plus, and now the appointment is the end of July. That could be the same wait I'd have had anyway, but there's the added complication that, if they think it's DP coming in for surgery, they might be expecting a different medical history, as she's recovering from a C-section and surgery on her ovaries would be more complicated.
So, I'm waiting for them to ring me back on Monday, but so far the helpful receptionist listened to me explain they'd got me and my female partner mixed up and observed 'well, the appointment must be for you, because it's with gynaecology'.
They just can't get their minds around the fact we're both women and both have ovaries.
