Hi :)

Any Scottish parents out there that applied for 'Scottish child payment' had any information back?

Thanks

I appreciate its money people never had tho opening applications to all at the one time makes no sense. No sense if they can’t deal with it in a timely manner. They could have staggered it and in the current climate we all spend money in our heads before we have it and that’s just on necessities. I am going to call again no contact since receiving application with that volume of app’s there are certain to be hiccups.

Yaaaaay my money and back payment was in my account today. Someone did say they are working on applications from 14/11 now so makes sense. No update, text or letter it was just in my account. Xxx

My friend applied on the 14th November and she got her money too all backdated so she got £750 so she was happy now for the rest of us to wait.

CombatBarbie · 31/01/2023 09:51

Still waiting but spike to them last week and said it was good to go for payment.....

MaryBerrysCamelToe · 01/02/2023 07:10

I've had one months money, but no back payment? Is this normal? Weird as you guys seem to have received both

LadyLexy · 01/02/2023 07:42

I’m the same payment as normal for my under 6 but no payments back dated for the other ones over 6 yet from the 17th November applied then.

Singlemamax · 01/02/2023 17:05

Not me. Still not received a dime or heard from them.

I work for SSS, thats completely normal. Your backdated money come seperatley

MaryBerrysCamelToe · 01/02/2023 17:48

Ah thanks @Mentallydrainedmum

Cece92 · 01/02/2023 20:37

@Mentallydrainedmum the agent told me I wouldn't get my first payment until 4 weeks after back payment is that right? I got my back payment last week xxx

FOXYMORON1707 · 01/02/2023 20:40

Yeh that’s correct so I got mine on Monday so 4 weeks from then will get my payment of £100. Sure that’s how it works. Xx

FOXYMORON1707 · 01/02/2023 21:36

I applied on 14/11 and received 10
weeks payment on Monday so assume in 4 weeks time will be paid £100. Xx

Mentallydrainedmum · 01/02/2023 22:29

If its a change of circs ie adding older children onto an already active claim, chances are the bakdated money will come seperatley from your usual payment. If its a fresh application theres more chance of the payment being made in 1 lump sum. We have so many people calling up because theyve been expecting it all in 1 go but normal and backdated are approved seperately

FOXYMORON1707 · 02/02/2023 02:23

Ah thanks for the info ❤️

ShinyPikachu · 03/02/2023 13:59

I missed a call from them today but they left a voicemail saying they needed extra information to support my claim.

What sort of stuff have they needed for anyone who's had this? Do I need to look out anything or has it just been easy stuff I should know off the top of my head?

Cece92 · 03/02/2023 14:15

@ShinyPikachu I had to upload bank statements xxx

OP posts:
FOXYMORON1707 · 03/02/2023 14:17

I did not have to do anything tho I think be maybe address verification and bank statement.

ShinyPikachu · 03/02/2023 14:22

Thanks Cece,

I don't have anything like that easily to hand myself so is it better that I contact them when DH is with me? We just have internet banking but I take it he can download statements to upload for them? I never bothered to set it up myself because DH does all the bills etc so I've just not needed it before. Blush

ShinyPikachu · 03/02/2023 14:24

Thanks Foxy. Smile

I absolutely hate having to phone places but they did say to call back and didn't mention the webchat so I assume calling is better even if I hate it. Sad

It might be to verify the sort code and account they hold for you are correct, we cant do that over webchat

Thank you, that makes sense. Just need to build myself up for making the call then. I'll make sure I have details like that handy just to be on the safe side. Smile

I got my backdated payment and confirmation letter today. This was after the 'redetermination request' put in on 27/01 when I discovered they'd had system errors when processing my original application and denied it without informing me. Glad the re-do didn't take the 16 working days they said it might.
