Cece92 · 17/12/2022 19:54

Yeah I got a text on the 1st and again Tuesday past the same. I spoke to an advisor on Thursday and they said my application was there just need to wait on an advisor pulling it from the queue xxx

I think I got my first payment today my national insurance number then SS for £25. No backdate though I applied on the 19th November

Your backdated will be paid seperately, 1 team are approving the actual payments and another team are approving the overpayments

Interesting development. I got a text today to say my payment would be coming a week early - ie, this Friday. Is this Scotland’s way of saying “kids, you will have a decent lunch and a present”?

Coconut212 · 20/12/2022 16:15

Yeah I got this too, I got £25 last week

Scottish child payment
WeepingSomnambulist · 20/12/2022 16:17

I applied on the 14th for 2 kids.
On the 8th of december I got a £50 payment, so that covered the first week. Then on Monday just there (5 weeks after applying), I got £200. So the £50 covered the first week and then the £200 was for the 4 weeks after, and I guess I'll get £200 every 4 weeks going forward now.

Cece92 · 20/12/2022 16:34

@BadShepherd @Coconut212 my friend said she got a text today telling her the same today about 23rd :) I'm glad use guys have had some sort of clarification xxx

I’m a housing officer and really surprised the amount of people that don’t know they’re entitled to it. Would be great if schools and nurseries were to send out information especially in this climate

My kids' primary school did. They sent a message on the app the week before applications opened and an email, then a message on the app on the day applications opened.

That’s brilliant so glad some are, wish our local council would do the same

Cece92 · 20/12/2022 18:23

Yeah our school did too with a link for other products too. I didn't know until then I looked into it. I thought cause I worked I wouldn't get it but I get a UC top up so was told to apply xxx

I did apply on day applications opened but have only had stalling texts. Would be lovely if it came through before Christmas.

What date should you normally be paid on?

BadShepherd · 20/12/2022 20:06

A week later - I.e., Friday 30th.

Cherylliam86 · 22/12/2022 10:44

I applied on the 14th nov, I’ve had all the same txts etc but also had a txt on Tuesday 20th dec to say you will receive an upcoming payment on Friday the 23rd dec… then got a txt today to say you will receive an upcoming payment on Thursday the 28th dec… doesn’t say how much in either txt I assume £100 from nov in the first payment and £200 in the 2nd payment I have two kids over 6.

Cece92 · 22/12/2022 11:18
