@Singlemamax do you have access to online? I chatted them twice and both times really polite and checked my account. I'm still waiting too I got a text on 15/11 then again 01/12 the guy said they processed my application on 01/12 but can take 30 days for a response from this date. I spoke to someone on 30th and she said my application was in the queue that was it really. It's a case of it being pulled by an advisor xxx

I applied on the 14th. Got a text the next day saying it had been received. Then another on the 28th Nov saying "we've got your form."

So phoned today, lady was polite enough but didn't even take my name. I asked if she could just check it was processing but she said receiving a text was enough proof. Felt a bit fobbed off. Anyone else still waiting?

Im afraid that is what we are told to do, everyone chasing their claims is creating massive queues on the phonelines and webchat. If you received a text then that means your application has been successfully submitted. Buttttt I totally get the need to phone and see whats happening with it!

I tried the webchat first but it said there was too many people queueing and they weren't accepting any more chat requests. Wonder why they wouldn't even check my name was on the system. Felt quite disheartened. I work approx 30 hours a week pro rata but don't receive maintenance so every little helps these days.

To be fair i think i held off longer compared to others. That was 51 days ago i applied before querying it and they didn't even take my name.

Cece92 · 04/01/2023 14:07

@Guesswhosbackagain I felt bad for querying mine. I'm just going to sit and wait now. Do you know if when you receive payment the back payment is all paid at once. So if I got paid Monday that's been like 8 weeks since I applied I'd get £200 then 4 week from them I get paid again? @Singlemamax your right every little does help. I work 40 hours a week as a single mum no CM help, get a UC top up and CB so the SCP is a great help. My cars gone busy too so the back payment will help towards that :) xxx

Theres different people working on the underpayments so from my understanding you'll get your normal monthly amount and your underpayment paid seperatley but in a lump sum

Cece92 · 04/01/2023 15:01

@Guesswhosbackagain that makes sense :) what area do you work in if your allowed to say xx

Guesswhosbackagain · 05/01/2023 19:53

Cece92 · 06/01/2023 14:00

I got a text on 13-12 saying they were looking at my application. Each week is a week added to the back payment though especially if we all applied the 14the November xxx

Yeah thats what I keep thinking to myself! Its frustrating its taking so long but it's like a savings pot. Im not allowed to ask any questions about my own case or ask anyone to check it etc so im in the same situation as everyone else. Here's hoping we all hear back soon

Pleasecreateausername13 · 09/01/2023 17:23

Anyone had anything yet?

I applied on the 20th October(way before it updated) and I’ve not had a single thing yet. Just a text to say they got my documents and then another to say would hear some time early 2023.

Im shocked at the length of time this has taken.

Cece92 · 09/01/2023 19:51

Hello @Pleasecreateausername13 I haven't heard back I applied when it opened for over 6's on November 14th I've had the texts to say they received it and it's busy etc. if you applied October I'd be chasing it up. The guy said if you get a message saying the are processing it should take 30 working days from this date. So your way past this date xxx

I would definitely be chasing that up. We're working on applications made on the 15th of november now so you should have heard by now

Notplayingball · 09/01/2023 20:26

Got an email from SSS to confirm they received my application for SCP on 15th November. I appreciate many applied as soon as the application process went live on 14th November so it must take ages to process so many forms.

Waiting patiently...

I still haven't had a processing message so does that mean it will be Feb before i get anything? 😕

So does that mean they have processed all the ones from the 14th? I applied the 14th but still not heard since the 28th Nov.

Coconut212 · 09/01/2023 21:55

I applied on the 19th and I’ve had my backdate and first payment, my friend also applied on the 20th and has had backdate plus first payment

@mrsbrightside1308 Have you looked into Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) for your 16 year old. It’s £30 a week, term time only (in our council). I expect they are supposed to work in the holidays. Ds3 (16) gets it although his older brothers didn’t. I’m telling myself that this is the equivalent of the child payment as I’m slightly aggrieved at missing out!

Pleasecreateausername13 · 10/01/2023 14:56

People who have called, how long did it take you to get through? I’ve been on hold for an hour and half. About to give up because I’m too busy to wait any longer.

CombatBarbie · 10/01/2023 18:02

They called me today, they need my husbands NI number but as I was out I didn't have it to hand. They said as soon as they have this my payments will be made.

mrsbrightside1308 · 10/01/2023 19:45

@Threeboysandadog thank you. 30£ here too (fife). Didn't think of that and my son is staying in education.

Cece92 · 11/01/2023 10:13

Do you get an email or anything once your applications processed? Xxx
