Morning, so I did receive a txt on Tuesday saying I have an upcoming payment on 23rd December (today) but upon checking my bank this morning it hasn’t gone in… not sure if I should call or wait as after that txt I got another two saying 28th and the 30th….

Marmite27 · 23/12/2022 08:07

For this saying the £25/£75 amounts aren’t Scottish Child payments, it says here it goes up to £25 in late 2022.

Cece92 · 23/12/2022 10:46

I don't know how they are working these payments. I applied 14th and I've just had updates saying they are busy. My friends applied 15/16th and had payments already. Xxx

Cherylliam86 · 23/12/2022 17:58

Sorry I meant to say, those double texts were sent in error. Your payment date will be the 30th

liveforsummer · 23/12/2022 19:35

I've had a payment now but I was expecting back later that hasn't appeared. Assuming it's laid in arrears rather in advance? It don't explain this in any of the literature

Cece92 · 23/12/2022 21:12

@Guesswhosbackagain get mines done 😂 I'm happy to wait get the bigger back payment xx

Would imagine it’s paid in arrears like UC, saves any overpayments etc

rumbypumby · 23/12/2022 21:58

I applied on 14th November
I have 3 children under 16 and never received this before
I got the same texts as you all and was paid £150 on 19th
Im not sure why it's £150 or if that's correct but ive then had a text saying payment due on 30th Dec strangely
No idea how it works

CombatBarbie · 23/12/2022 22:07

Had multiple emails/texts, still nothing.

Cece92 · 24/12/2022 00:11

When I spoke to someone last Thursday he said he can see I applied the 14th but they never processed the application until 1st December which makes sense because that's when I got a text from them. He said it then takes 30 days from then and my application was in the queue but depends on when an advisor picks my application from the queue. I feel it should go in order people apply, as I know there were people straight on the minute it opened applied and had nothing and others who waited a few days before applying and have had their back payment and first payment. Xxx

I had a random £600 deposited into my account, 4 children so six weeks. I applied the first day and have holding texts saying they are busy etc. I've not had a text to say they are paying me It's so much money (to me) normally all my income is earmarked for mortgage/ bills/ food shopping/ kids activities. I was a bit unsure as what to do with it but have ordered 500L of oil at just under £500 quid so we can have heating on in Jan/ Feb will spend the rest on nice food for the holidays.

Cherylliam86 · 24/12/2022 12:39

That’s a great idea 👌🏻

Cherylliam86 · 24/12/2022 12:40

Aww right I see yes thought maybe these txts were being sent to me in error - I’m also happy to wait for the bigger payment haha have a lovely Xmas everyone ❤️

Cece92 · 28/12/2022 21:58

Did anyone who had texts saying payment due today get their payment? My friend was due hers but never got it. I've still not heard a thing. It's been over 6 weeks since I applied so I should get £150 backdated so far xx

Hi, I got a txt to say payment yesterday too but received it today. I have two kids applied on 14th, got £250 this morning which is 6 weeks so I imagine my normal payment will begin mid jan. Haven’t had any letters or anything explaining as of yet.

Cece92 · 29/12/2022 10:46

@Cherylliam86 she can see it pending for tomorrow. :) xxx

Aww perfect, hopefully yours will come soon too! 😁

Cece92 · 29/12/2022 12:46

I contacted them today and they said someone was working on my application now. Whether that's true or not I'm not sure 😂 xxx

I spoke to them yesterday and they said it could be another week or 2!

Cece92 · 30/12/2022 14:25

@Guesswhosbackagain oh really? The woman said to me that a colleague was working in my application but not sure if she was talking rubbish. I was told on the 15th that is can take 30 days from when they process my application and that was processed on the 1st so should be done by now really but will wait and see xxx

mornning, I finally got a load of post yesterday and there’s a letter from SSS stating my payment of £250 and says your next payment will be 4 weeks from the 29th dec it maybe more more or less the first payment depending on how much of a back payment was paid.

Singlemamax · 04/01/2023 13:21

I applied on the 14th. Got a text the next day saying it had been received. Then another on the 28th Nov saying "we've got your form."

So phoned today, lady was polite enough but didn't even take my name. I asked if she could just check it was processing but she said receiving a text was enough proof. Felt a bit fobbed off. Anyone else still waiting?
