Sorry Amber my week has been a cross between the Twilight Zone and soap opera with falling ratings at Christmas.

Today's joy looking after dDad while working. It feels like the toddler years are back (minus trying to fish fuzzy felt out of bottoms and sultanas out of noses hopefully). Thankfully they have superfast internet so I can "work".

I forgot our house insurance - not sure how much it is even, we have buildings and contents.
I also have a lot of debt from IVF (£15,000 bank loan Sad ) which costs us £300 a month, we will feel a lot better off once that is paid (34 more months, yay!)

marthasmum · 12/06/2021 12:20

Oh no north that’s scary for him. I once broke down on the motorway but luckily near a slip road so could pull off. I like your idea to offset car loan when you use the car, that might come in useful if DD gets one.
Just waiting for DP to confirm his pension payout and then will probs cancel life ins.
gen that’s such a tough cost for IVF. In many ways I’m sure.
Waiting for my DD and my friend to finish football match. Oh the irony - I have zero interest in sport but spend hours of my life watching football!
Hope people are enjoying the sun. em I could just fancy the zoo in this weather Smile

Spendy spendy £85 Asda, £18 pet shop, £12 £shop, £74 Aldi, £25 x10 gym classes, £38 Iceland.

Wolfcub · 12/06/2021 16:12

I've some £20 off hello fresh codes if anyone wants one

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 12/06/2021 16:39

Hi all hope everyone is well? Long time no see 😁

I'm okay, dd is still up and down with her eating but is slowly getting there (at a snails pace but progress is progress!) She finally had her autism assessments and they came back as 'borderline' with autistic traits but no diagnosis 😕 so pretty fed up about that.

My finances this month have been terrible as we had an unexpected vet bill of £240!! I wouldn't mind but it was only that expensive as we we're away on holiday in Wales and he became unwell. Took him to a local vet who gave him morphine which he promptly had a severe reaction to and we had to rush him down to Swansea animal hospital! He was eventually fine but it was very stressful and expensive.

I've had to take £400 out of savings to cover that and to live on for the rest of the month.

Anyway hope everyone is enjoying the 🌞

I see you've all been posting your DDs, I love having a nosy at everyone else's outgoings so will have a read back 😆 I know that all my DD come to £1000 as I worked it out the other day, in theory that leaves me with around £700 for food, petrol and any extras for the month which should be fine but in reality it doesn't seem to go far...

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/06/2021 16:45

New customers or existing wolf?
Hey girlie good to see you. Pleased to hear dd is progressing. Oof to the vets bills but glad ddog is ok

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/06/2021 16:46

This rascal seems to find new ways to try kill himself on a daily basis. Hes eating soil here

Frugaleers MayBee just MayBee
Wolfcub · 12/06/2021 17:10

New I think Life. He is an adorable little earth thief isn't he

Girlie so good to see you and so frustrating re the non-autism diagnosis

SingToTheSky · 12/06/2021 18:00

Toooo cute life!

I had a dream last night that I had a pet kitten. A brown one I called Dr Pepper! Was most aggrieved to wake up. Been thinking about possible pets today, I feel we are ready to make the commitment. DH doesn’t like cats though. 🙄

Hey girlie that’s so frustrating about DD’s assessment 💐 how does she feel about it?

Unescorted · 12/06/2021 20:03

Life we have lovely soil he could eat here.

Girlie glad to hear that your DD is improving. And it is lovely to see you.

Gen I have all my fingers and toes crossed that it works out for you.

Mrs Wales is "My Home Nations" Team. I have no geographical or hereditary ties to Wales so it is totally illogical.... like most Man U supporters I guess. And this is only for Euro competitions.

North that is scary. Good idea to do taxi deductions.

sing Dh didn’t like cats either. Or want a cat. So we compromised. And got catface. He loves her now. 😂😂

life ooh he’s a handsome isnt he?!?

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/06/2021 21:20

He's gorgeous
Don't worry unescorted I know you are on standby
I'm unfortunately allergic to cats

£20 dinner. CBA to cook

SingToTheSky · 12/06/2021 21:34

Em that’s the kind of compromise I can get on board with :o tbf, he tolerated my cats when he moved in to my family home pre-DC. He just insists he hates them Hmm

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 12/06/2021 22:03

Sing she's pretty fed up about it, she said before we got the result she would feel relieved to get a diagnosis and we're now left in bloody limbo land again 😕 The ED service said I should appeal it but I'm just not sure I have the energy tbh.

northender · 13/06/2021 00:10

Lovely to see you girlie, sorry about dd's lack of diagnosis, it must be really frustrating.
I've been having spells of anxiety recently & felt it again today. Decided distraction would be good so am going to make a lap quilt/throw for my best friend's 50th in August. I spent £45 on fabric for it and feel quite excited now. I haven't done any quilting for ages so it'll be good to get back to it & hopefully it'll help with my head.

AmberIsACertainty · 13/06/2021 01:56

Girlie I'd ask for the second opinion if you've got the backing of the ED place. They could perhaps write a letter of their observations for whoever is next in charge of your DD case? ASD is sometimes missed in girls especially so it's worth getting that second opinion if you're so close to a diagnosis and the ED people think she is. I'd be worried you'll never get another referral for ASD assessment on the NHS if you accept this decision on the diagnosis.

Glad your dog is ok, but ouch at the vet bill.

North I've never done quilting but I love them. Hope it helps your anxiety.

Sing what about a house rabbit if DH doesn't like cats? Or a cat that prefers to spend most of the time outside.

Life he's so sweet. I hope he continues to defy death.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/06/2021 08:13

Love the compromise em
Sorry I know nothing about cats
Ah girlie it's so draining fighting all the time isn't it. Can the Ed team help you with the appeal?

Made today and should bloody think so after yesterday

ememem84 · 13/06/2021 08:14

sing get a nice rescue. Take Dh to the shelter and let him see the poor poor kitties looking sad. You might end up with them all!

Beach day today. 28 degrees here.

Although we have no beach tent. And two v blonde kids and a chicken to slow cook on the bbq. So it’ll be beach for a few hours this morning. Then home for lunch naps and paddle pool.

SingToTheSky · 13/06/2021 08:15

Ah girlie that’s such a shame :( getting the support of the ED clinic is a great idea (and I do know someone who was diagnosed in the second assessment - he’d just masked so well the first time) but also understandable if you don’t have the energy for that fight 💐

Sorry about the anxiety north hope the quilting helps, you’re so good at it!

Amber I really love the idea of a rabbit, especially if it lived in the house! That is one DD1 would be happy with too (I’d love a gecko, various insects like a praying mantis, or a rodent like a degu... TBF if I had the money and space I would have a LOT of pets).

Although I did Google last night and showed DD1 some pics of those absolutely massive rabbits. Her response: “Wait, those are real? They’re not just lab accidents?” 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

SingToTheSky · 13/06/2021 08:16

:o Em I’d definitely want to take aaaall the kitties home 🥺

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/06/2021 08:52

Do you know anyone with a giant umbrella to take em.

I want to take all the animals in rescue centre. I should be on of these people who has a small holding and alll the animals

SingToTheSky · 13/06/2021 09:41

One of my friends has a menagerie. A dog, three cats, various lizards, a snake, lots of different creepy crawlies, and chickens 😁 I held her hissing cockroaches the other day, she has too many and offered me some

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 13/06/2021 10:09

Been a while since I checked in!

We have 2 cats, im sure your dh will come around sing i wasn't keen at first but I've turned into a proper cat lady now... there's more photos of cats on my phone than my eldest daughter or dh 😂

We have spent this week building a nature area and bug hotel for dd2, she is so excited and has been checking it several times a day! All been freebies so far, just want to get some hanging decorations for the tree. But hoping for car boot finds or see what we can make! (Nothing that attracts birds though, cats bring me enough as it is!)

I really need to go through my dds again as the bills are creeping up. I just hate the stress of moving things.

Spendy weekend bought a parasol from argos £40, new kettle and toaster £22 (toaster broke and kettle has had it)

Had my covid jab yesterday, so dh bought me the vegan galaxy I love but won't buy usually (its £3 a bar!).

ememem84 · 13/06/2021 12:23

We have a giant umbrella. And a teepee for the garden. But today we went without. I knew the dc wouldn’t want to stay long so I packed as little as possible. Put the sun screen on them and then bought buckets and spades. Hoorah.

Splashed in the sea (cold but lovely!) made sandcastles. Had morning snack on the beach. Now in the car at the shop waiting for dh and Dd to come back with sausages beers (for beer can chicken) and crisps
