If they offer something else, I will definitely consider it. But it would depend on salary, location, travel, working hours a lot more. As the original salary was worth it more to give up my current part time, termtime plus 2 weeks job.

Anyway, cancelled my plans for today as not feeling well with sore throat and chills, and gone back to bed. I would say frugal but brought my bank card up stairs incase I needed to order something.

Love the tiger t shirt em

DC went off to school dressed up. My attempt at drawing whiskers on DD1’s face wasn’t great 😂 And then it poured with rain.

Lovemaltesers · 05/03/2020 09:08

Thanks for all the sympathy. I really need to get less invested when applying for jobs!

Happierwithouthim · 05/03/2020 10:04

love sorry to hear that disappointing news

€111.82 in Dunnes last night, lots of treats in so it could've been less than that.

Dc didn't mention wbd so neither did I!

I had a brainwave while in the shower this morning. For house I'm buying I was debating losing a toilet room to make a utility or putting washing machine/dryer in the shed, want to put dishwasher in the kitchen. Came up with a solution. The toilet is next to my bedroom, going to break through to make it an ensuite, add a shower in the middle and close off the room 2/3's of the way, then make that remaining third into a cupboard to stack washer/dryer in and face the opening of this out to hallway where original door to bathroom is. Gaining a utility of sorts and ensuite from a room that is kind of pointless next to existing bathroom Grin

SnugglySnerd · 05/03/2020 10:31

That's a great idea Happier.
I would love a little utility. The previous owners here knocked together the bathroom and airing cupboard to make a massive bathroom but it's wasted space really. I'd have preferred the big cupboard and I would have probably put a dryer in there.

Happierwithouthim · 05/03/2020 11:55

I've never had one snuggly but my parents have a back kitchen as big as most peoples regular kitchens, the house I'm renting has a decent size porch/utility out the back and I've noticed how much quicker I'm getting ready in the mornings when I don't need to go out to washing machine in the shed. The toilet is 99cm wide so it'll just be space for washing machine/dryer stacked and narrow shelving for detergents and hopefully I'll be able to fling the laundry basket on top of dryer, if not it can live in airing cupboard.

I agree with you, bathrooms don't need to be huge usually only one person in them.

Lovemaltesers · 05/03/2020 13:10

My DC think there is space for three of us in our bathroom. There really isn’t 😂 . But once they get a bit older, I’m sure that will change and demand their privacy

Happierwithouthim · 05/03/2020 14:13

Mine often want me to sit with them while they do their business GrinHmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/03/2020 17:40

We are mostly in the bathroom in multiple numbers. Sometimes I wish we weren't. Sounds like a good use of space happier.

Nsd today

ememem84 · 05/03/2020 18:45

When I’m home with the kiddos it’s both dc and catface watching me pee. Ffs.

ememem84 · 05/03/2020 18:46

Things I’ve discovered. Marmite crackers. As in the branded ones. Not just normal crackers with marmite on them. These are incredible. And Morrish. So. Good.

Fearofawelshplanet · 05/03/2020 19:22

Yday spendy day about 40 pound, food bits and chemist for daughter, painkillers and tubigrips, she is having issues with a knee after PE...
Today ten pound deposit for work...

Happierwithouthim · 05/03/2020 21:36

I've sat with both dc at toilet this evening, I went alone though, em you've only about six years to wait for this pleasure!!

€7 eyebrow wax
€11 ds haircut
€5.25 sweets as bribe
€3 dd art class

Wolfcub · 06/03/2020 07:35

Wolfcub · 06/03/2020 09:49

Spent the morning on a manic cleaning jag.

Have spoken to garden folks about coming to try and repair some of the damage to the garden.

Flood folks coming soon.

Boiler man this aft.

When I've got rid of them all I will bleach all the floors (flood muck will be trailed through the house) and maybe tackle the ironing.

I have some burst bananas so going to make banana bread

She's loads better thanks Wolf, yellow Metanium is magic!
I have to sit by ds when he uses the potty and sometimes hold his hand! There is room in our bathroom for all of us which was very handy when the dts were babies and we were trying to bathe in dry them both! Our bathroom is a bit ridiculous though as I mentioned. Our kitchen is tiny, we are always in each other's way on there.

ememem84 · 06/03/2020 14:20

Footner update. Feet are all peely. It’s so wierd.

Happierwithouthim · 06/03/2020 17:55

Oh em I thought mine was bad, wore wrong boots walking dog the other day but yours is a different level Wink

Work colleague treated me to lunch for my birthday Grin lovely goats cheese salad & garlic bread Grin

Mortgage has been paid off so there's a lump sum sitting in a solicitor bank account until divorce is sorted I expect.
There's an outstanding balance on loan we got for wall of approx €30 I'll sort it out next week.

First maintenance payment gone into my bank account. Hopefully it'll be regular I requested it by standing order.

Due to mortgage payment not going out I suggested to ex h we pay outstanding balance on au pairs car repairs with it & he agreed Shock so €560 gone to that & remainder is mine.
I'll close joint account next Friday & they can transfer the remaining direct debits to my account.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2020 18:13

Happy birthday happier. great news on house sale going through

ememem84 · 06/03/2020 18:26

happier no wrong boots is a nightmare. Ouch! Mine doesn’t hurt at least. It just looks hella gross!!!! Dh said if I send him one more pic of my minging feet he’ll divorce me!

northender · 06/03/2020 19:03

That sounds like progress happier
Loving the footner pic Em I need to do mine soon I think.
Wolf hope all the house stuff has gone ok
Not too spendy a week here. Approx £100 on groceries yesterday. £16 on breakfast with my best friend who brought me a lovely bunch of flowers, then £6 on a delicious lunch with mum who gave £20 towards the £26 bill. £11 on oil for the car. Have got the pil coming to stay from Wednesday-Monday so need to plan meals.
Ds has been prescribed propranolol for his anxiety which has been getting worse. Hopefully it will help get him through his exams. I'm finding it hard at the moment, watching him struggle after being so confident and laid back. If we can just get him through the exams and then start to rebuild.
Dd is working tomorrow. I'm going to football & dh & I are going out for a few drinks tomorrow night. Need to meal plan & make sure calendar is up to date, things seem hectic at the moment.
Found car insurance £80 under renewal quote & £50 cash back with TCB.

Apologies for slightly rambling post!

Mrsmadevans · 06/03/2020 19:09
