Willy-nilly 😂👏👏! Em there was another thread last-night about knowing when you're done with babies. Really interesting read. Weirdly, after I had dts, despite it being the hardest of years, I was so, so broody. Literally couldn't think of anything else but having another baby (despite having two newborns!) now on reflection I can see that was totally hormone driven. My dts have been, and continue to be, quite hard work and I definitely know we're done now but despite that, any permanent contraception seems quite final for both me and dh. But then I think I'm fast approaching peri-menopausal whereas I think you are much younger and have already had one surprise!

Love you must still be feeling so angry towards all those involved with the work in your mum's roof. I'm livid for you. Not sure what else has happened with your mum but even though she played a part, it's those bastard cowboys who need the full force of your wrath.

How do you think your girls will be as it starts to get lighter? Would those daylight alarm clocks help at all?

Wolf I'm loving the idea of a holiday drawer. In fact yesterday I picked up two bottles of aero-spray sun cream in Asda yesterday. I know Aldi sell it but last year I couldn't get hold of any by summer. Think il add a few things in each month.

Get well curvy and born what take-away are you considering?!

We are further along in our house decision. We've decided to put ours (tentatively) on the market. The house we are interested in are only taking offers from proceed-able buyers. If by the time ours is on and we've had an open house etc the other house has already accepted a firm offer then we'll take ours off. I'm trying to take a leaf out of your book happier as you sound so positive about your upcoming move. Pastures new and all that!

£30 Coop including food and treats for local kitty shelter. I’d love to volunteer but I dare not go there, I’d come back with a basket full.
£80 to DP for diesel and kitty litter
£13ish for breakfast at greasy spoon cafe round the corner, very tasty.
To come, £100 for car camera.
I’m having a day off from cooking today as we are doing errands and household jobs. I have a choice between dinner out or a Marks and Spencer instant gratification dinner. I do have £10 left from Marks voucher from work. I think dinner out is winning though.

Thanks for the new thread wolf
Really tough week at work, but not much spending.
Some of the bargainous Ultrasun I ordered on a tip-off a couple of weeks ago has come despite saying 1-3 months for delivery. So nicely in time for the holiday.
I've just got the new Pinch of Nom book from the library (60p to order it) and it looks good so far. I'm going to make a concerted effort to try new recipes from that and from the Hugh F-W leftovers book. Frugal and healthy.
Can't remember who mentioned Frugal Queen, but she has just started posting more of her old style advice this week on her facebook page if anyone is interested.
I've started doing shopping for fish, fruit&veg, cheese at our local market on a Saturday morning. Not finding it much different in price, the quality is excellent. Treated us to a loaf of sourdough bread today. It's delicious, quite a big loaf and was £3 which I didn't think was too bad.
Need to meal-plan now & then make some soup. Today it's going to be a fish chowder and a cauliflower cheese one.

Ooh new thread, thanks wolf..I posted on the old one and thought I had been left behind Grin
66.20 morrisons
20.00 mcdonalds (budgeted 100 for food all week so this is kids treat, no top up shops, we have to manage on what we bought until next sunday now)...
Elec & gas for moth 70 pound...huge declutter tomorrow so hopefully no spend day. Going to drink coffee and read back through this new thread now...good luck in Feb everyone...

Fearofawelshplanet · 25/01/2020 16:52

Used surf coupon from my so
Special purchase box that i posted about last month 20 surf capusules for a quid, yay!Crown Grin

SnugglySnerd · 25/01/2020 16:56

I think I'm the same Madden I also have twins and they are hard work plus older dd. I am permanently exhausted and and very little time or money for myself but I am also really broody! I can't commit to any sort of permanent contraception either although we're generally too tired for any bedtime fun anyway Grin

Lovemaltesers · 25/01/2020 17:00

Good idea about the daylight alarm clock. I’ve got one but stopped using it when it got lighter in the mornings last year. DD1 has just stopped sleeping with a light on so it might work for her. Just need to declutter a space to plug it in for her.

The other person who mentioned SAD might be right too. Think we might all be suffering from lack of sunlight here. It’s been grey, wet and miserable for weeks now which is not conducive to getting out. Must do more to get out!

£15 on McDonalds. Was delicious.

Madden my other issue with my mum is she keeps writing comments in emails about my cousin who is gay. I’ve asked her to stop, more than once, but she continues. I can’t just block her emails because I wouldn’t hear things like about the cold caller, and she updates me on my dad. I need to ignore better! I do delete her emails so I stop seeing them sat there. Parents getting old really does suck! Will have a good chat with FIL when he returns from holiday as he went through similar finance stuff with DPs grandad.

Fearofawelshplanet · 25/01/2020 17:01

North - I mentioned frugal queen, thanks I will have a look!

Lovemaltesers · 25/01/2020 17:04

I still can’t 100% commit to being done with 2DC either.

Accidentalaccountant · 25/01/2020 17:41

Found you. Away for weekend. Mostly paid for in advance so hopefully not too spendy

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2020 18:07

Wolfcub · 25/01/2020 18:17

😂 I never even thought about the willy word.

Went to Lidl today and spent £78. There were two bottles of wine in that and The Eat Well For Less book. It was only £2.99 so thought I’d try it.

My days of having babies are long gone but although I never tried for a third and probably would have struggled to cope if It had happened I still didn’t want to rule it out completely. I think I worried that I’d suddenly really really want another just because I knew I couldn’t.

Tonight will be an Indian takeaway - can’t wait 😊

Bornlazy · 25/01/2020 18:28

Duchess I’ve got three cats and at one point had four. I too couldn’t work in the shelter as I’d end up taking them all home. When we had four my dh refused to tell anyone as he said people would think we were eccentric 😜

Happierwithouthim · 25/01/2020 18:35

€48 diesel
€6.95 on 3 onion nets(forgot in shopping), 660ml Orchard Thieves cider for later & a dark milk bar
Passed on DC's highchair & a box of baby toys & 4 massive boxes of baby boy & toddler boy clothes, have 3 more boxes ready for charity shop & emptied two drawers from filing cabinet too

Ex h had the snip, he complained of discomfort afterwards but he's got an overactive imagination, my periods never returned post ds so I'm not sure if I'm fertile or not, take contraceptive pill to protect my bones as a result so kills two birds with one stone. I don't want any more children, bf is happy not to have any either, so it's all good.

Curry yum, one of my colleagues had leftover Indian on Monday at work I was Envy

Madden sounds like a good route to proceed with re house

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2020 19:13

It's the curry legend tin I have. Tonight was chicken bhuna.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2020 19:16

www.thespicery.com/

Bought on offer obvs.
I didn't mention it for this but I do have a referral which saves me and others money. More fussed either way as I will be ordering more regardless when I run out

Happierwithouthim · 25/01/2020 19:52

Looks great life do you use much per recipe? Just wondering if it's worth while just for me, dd doesn't like curry, ds only eats McDonnell's curry Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2020 20:14

Here is the book. 4 tins of spices in the box and tonight's recipe. The recipe are meant for 4 with acompanyments. We get 3 portion as great and done put much with them

You know you'll need to do a photo of finished product too Grin
Cheaper than takeaway! Got me thinking of hairy bikers curry in their hairy dieters books, were yummy too. I've gotten so lazy with cooking & I do love it

maddenlightfoot · 25/01/2020 21:16

Yum 😋 life, that looks fab! We've had Hairy Bikers Caldo Verde tonight (my favourite soup!) and watched Edward Scissor hands with dd 😭

Love, why does the older generations filter get increasingly less robust as they get older??! Honestly. I'm not surprised those comments make you feel annoyed. Is it new information she's getting used to and doesn't know how to process? Or literally just inappropriate vitriol? There are many, many subjects I avoid with large swathes if my family... I know they're bigoted, introverted, right wingers and for the sake of family harmony I just don't go there. When we visit I offer to make lots of cups of tea 🙄

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2020 21:18

How could I forget, sorry. Leftovers for freezer
